I paid for this item and this review is independent.My laptop always has over heating issues and I was looking for a product to help.Temperatures often reached 80c plus, with the laptop shutting down if they reached 98c.So when I saw this in the recent lightning deals, I thought I would give it a try.First impressions were great. Immediately after purchase I received a very nice email from the seller, informing me of the shipment of the item and telling me about who they are. A few more sellers could learn from that approach.When the cooler arrive I had the cooler fitted within 2 minutes.You have to choose a silicon sleeve from the ones provided that best fits the outlet vent for your laptops cooling. Important note here as one other reviewer at least has pointed out, if your laptop has no outlet vents, then there is no where to add this and therefore it would be useless to you. Also, you have to plug this item into a usb socket (to power the fans in the cooler) so you will need a spare usb socket or nearby usb power supply (you can either use a spare socket on laptop or you can always buy a usb expansion device if you don't have a spare socket)So, all set up, power the cooler on by holding the power button down for a few seconds (2nd button clockwise looking at cooler from the end that sits closest to laptop). You can choose to display fan speed or air flow temp). I am writing this as my laptop is running the steam client, a usenet download client running at 40mbps and chrome). With those 3 running my laptop temp was 86c. With the cooler plugged in, it is now running at 40c. Wow ! very effective. Running sniper elite 3, the temp raised to 44c then dropped back down to 41c. I couldn't previously run usenet and sniper elite at the same time as the temp would reach 98c and shut my laptop down (I run a gaming laptop with an i7, a GT555M and 8GB ram)Build quality is fine. The cooler is built in China (isn;t most tech these days) and is made of plastic. Metal parts would certainly get too hot, and the plastic build is relatively strong and should survive general knocks. The display for temp/fan speed is clear and easily read, but not too obtrusive. The cooler obviously protrudes from the laptop. It sticks out about 5-6 inches,so you will need space for it.I noted another review where the customer received a defective item. It was good to see the seller has responded and offered to resolve their issue. Not all sellers bother, so well done Klim. No product is ever going to have zero issues. There will always be faulty items, that's the nature of modern tech, but how the seller responds (or even bothers) is important.I conclude that I highly recommend both the product and the seller.This is great value for money and I will happily buy another product from the seller

I have just received my own KLIM vacuum cooler, and I want to share my experience with you!First of all, I am truly satisfied with its performance and practicality!I have a lenovo y510p with a core i7-4700MQ 2.4 Ghz processor, 16 GB of ram and two GeForce GT 755M in SLI with 2 gigs of VRAM.Usually my laptop gets really hot, in fact in like 30 min of gaming, it gets overheated, and I cannot use it further without a break. Same situation when I am running computer simulations.I have tried several cooling pads, but neither of them worked properly, it cooled max. 5-6 degrees from CPU and GPU.Your product can cool like 10-14 Celsius from GPU and CPU as well (see attached pictures).I have had a quick test with Battlefield 1,both multi and single player.I could play single player on ULTRA settings for like an hour without overheating (before KLIM ultra settings cannot be played satisfyingly), and I had to stop just because I can cool just the main graph. card and cpu not the secondary as you can see the pictures as well, my main cards temperature is just fine (around 75 Celsius) and the secondary gets very hot.I can say, that my gaming experience is much better, I get plus 15-20 FPS when I play multi, so I am convinced.I also like the design, it really fits well to my laptop...Thank you for this, I think it is a really cool idea, well crafted and cheap!Pictures: [...]

Extensively tested for a month and I have to say this does the job I hoped it would do. I play daily MMO and I was concerned how hot my laptop got even with a cooling table [4 fans] on highest setting. Now, I can adjust the speed of the KLIM and it cools my machine rapidly if it is getting too warm. The KLIM usually just runs in the background at around 1500rpm and I hardly notice it. If I do crank it up to around 2500, it is a little louder but it does what I want it to do so its worth a little extra noise. On full speed it is pretty loud, but I dont ever need to use it that high.One design fault. If its for a laptop, then it needs to fasten securely to the machine when people are using their machines on their lap.This does not do that. Its fine on a flat surface, but otherwise, the stickers just do not cut it. I use a lap table with a cooling table and I have to support the KLIM using a box for it to sit on which keeps it in place, but it does reduce the space on my lap table, so be aware of that. Without the box, the KLIM constantly detaches itself from my machine meaning it doesn't do what it was designed to do.Overall, I am happy with the KLIM, but the design needs tweaking so the unit has more support when used with a laptop.

I bought this as sadly my laptop is dying, the poor thing is getting sicker everyday, due to intense 3d and video rendering and gaming for the past 3 years. The diagnosis was overheating. Despite being sat on a cooling pad for those three years it’s gotten to the point where if it over heated it would shut itself off without warning. Not ideal when you forgot to save the last 4 hours of uni work. Now when I opened the product the build quality felt great everything worked as it should, and the lil letter about how it was dispatched gave me a good chuckle. The first test I did was boot up csgo max settings it and run an FPS benchmark test, which usually gets my laptop hot enough for it to crash.Low and behold with the fan attached it didn’t. So far I have high hopes for this product. Will keep an eye on it’s capabilities whilst I finish my uni work and update this review soon.

Bought for my dad . His laptop is quite old and gets very hot and doesn't perform that well . Gave it a good clean with compressed air to get the dust out and attached the KLIM . Don't think his laptop has got hot enough yet to really test the product as only kicks in when reaches a certain temp . I have every faith in the product that it will perform when needed going on the reviews . May update review when I know for sure .Only downside was the sticky strip is the only thing that keeps it attached to your device so have had to invest in a lap board with mouse extension tray to accommodate the overall size now . It's ok if your laptop is always on a desk or flat service but if you use your LAP top on your LAP you need something to support it .Customer service was excellent . They really care what you think .

I’ve had problems with my laptop overheating in the UK and also when I go travelling around the world. I have tried a laptop cooler before, the type that a laptop sit on top of and it was not very successful. I bought a Klim Cool laptop cooler a couple of months ago to go travelling with and it worked like a dream, my laptop never overheated once in that time. So, I’ve been using the Klim Cool laptop cooler here in the UK and even though the climate is better for laptops here, I’ve noticed my laptop has kept a lot cooler here too.The LED display is great for regulating the temperature of my laptop, usb powered, so no power supplies to carry around and the price is good value too.Overall a fantastic piece of kit, I would definitely recommend this cooler, a very wise investment indeed!

Hi Folks... I have a HP Pavilion dv7 that you could cook on even when it's doing nothing. I've stripped it down and replaced the CPU cooling fan which has helped a bit but not by much. I've bought a 4 x fan pad which adds it's tuppence worth to the cooling effort but still the laptop overheats.Having read how this gadget works I thought, yeah, this could work so I bought one and it does. It cools my laptop down to an acceptable level. So it works for me and gives my laptop a new lease of life.I only have one miss-giving and that's the flashing coloured lighting and the garish colour of the neoprene bootie things. Whilst I know that this appeals to the gaming fraternity it doesn't work for the older or non-gaming users such as me.Result = minus one star.

This tool is average sized (about the size of a average human fist) and takes barely any room. This small gimmick works well enough on 'SONY VAIO' laptop, it comes with different rubber adaptors that allows suction of the hot air to be treated. My laptop always overheats and used to have blue-screens and was unusable for a short amount of time especially when the CPU power needed to be used (running YouTube videos on high resolution or playing video games).This small box changed this and creates a small noise that is quieter than my laptop, with fancy glowing effects if you want, but has 'MODE' feature which allows for the device to be used that tailors to your personal computer.

I have a Dell laptop which produces enormous amount of heat, literally I can't place my hand underneath it. This product reduced the amount of heat, though Dell still beats the race. It is pretty easy to set-up and it also got some cool functionality. I would have given 5 stars if reduced the heat even further.Only thing I found misleading was that the product instruction says it can be powered by both AC and DC but I didn't find any plug or any means of powering through mains.It is a good product if you always use the laptop by placing it on a desk/table rather than actually keeping it on your laps as I don't think it can be placed securely.

Having purchased this item recently, I thought I should share my experience!This laptop cooler is a perfect fit for my small 14 inch laptop. It is easy to use. The ‘auto mode’ is great for non-tech junkies (like me), as it adjust the fan speed automatically based on the laptop’s temperature. Beware the ‘manual mode’ is for strictly advanced users only!Most often, I work from home and tend to move between different workspaces depending on the time of the day. The compact nature of this laptop cooler makes it easy for me to move between workspaces quickly and easily!All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this product.

First time I've posted a review on here and It's taken me a while as I wanted to test the product for a while to give a better opinion.Thought this would be a bit of a gimmick but was pleasantly surprised that works very well, I use my laptop for gaming and high end games tend to cause the temp to rocket, running this keeps my system much cooler.The only slight downsides are the noise at higher fan speeds, and the fact is it easily dislodged if you use a laptop board like I do. However, these flaws are a none issue if you use headphones, or don't use a laptop board. Overall good product and good speedy delivery and customer service.

It small, compact and easy to set up and use, the fan when at full power is a tad noisy however if like me you are a gamer and wearing a headset then there is nothing to worry about. the temp reader shows a different temp compared to what i get on the laptop when I use the preinstalled MSI data or CPU core temp application. that being said it does seem to be doing the job it was designed for as I can feel the heat being sucked in and pushed out the back. i would still recommend this for day-to-day laptop users and for moderate gamers. for hardcore it will always be best to use as much gear to cool your laptop or just build a desktop

The product appears to be of quality built and cooling is achieved as expected. However couple of issues to be noted: the USB cable is not long enough (my laptop- Sony Vaio 17", the exhaust fan is on the opposite side to USB ports, cable stretched fully underside of the laptop), and I ended up using an extension cable. The other is that I'm not sure if the auto setting of the fan speed is effective, the device does not appear to be increasing its fan speed with rising temp of the laptop on auto setting! (however speed can be increased with manual button).

Been looking for something to adequately cool my gaming laptop, bought two and this has by far proved to be the best thing I have bought to cool my laptop. It cooled my laptop during a stress test by at least 4c-8c. Coupled with the great email I received from KLIM I will be buying more products from this company. Only downside and it is not their fault, my gaming laptop's vent are massive so the cooler doesn't quite cover it. Other than that a perfect product.

Does the job well.I have a Dell xps. It's been overheating when I play games ( it's an old laptop with a 540m gpu)The coolers lowered temps by about 3-5 degrees which is good!Only thing I will say is the build quality isn't that great. Feels plasticy and like it's made in China and when mine arrived one of the blue sleeves was torn but it's working well. I've only had it a week though.
