Bought the 360 (swivelling) version for use with 13" Macbook Pro Retina with USB keyboard and mouse.Lifts the screen by about 17cm/6.75", and has an overhang (~6.5cm/2.5" deep, ~7.5cm/3" high) allowing laptop and keyboard to overlap a bit. Overall, puts the laptop much more into my usual eyeline, and lets me have it a bit closer than normal. (Perhaps a bit more height wouldn't hurt, but I'm at the taller end of average (187cm/6'1") and don't have long legs.)Good points:* aluminium construction looks nice, feels solid, and matches the Macbook* decent ergonomics (see above)* swivel base rotates easily* shape very sensibly includes a lip to hold the laptop steady - some products seem to rely purely on having grippy surfaces for the laptop to sit on,which (call me old-fashioned...) I suspect won't prove as reliable in the long runLess good points:* it may only apply to the swivel version, but I'd say you definitely need an external keyboard and mouse - there's no wobbling if you're typing on a USB keyboard, but if you try to use the laptop keyboard it becomes apparent there's some give in the stand and a bit of play in the swivel mechanism* the box claims the stand is a good heat sink, but since the metal of the laptop never actually makes contact with the metal of the stand I suspect it will prove ineffectiveI'm happy to give this 5 stars - but if you're especially tall and/or don't use an external keyboard and mouse, it might not suit.(Also note that it's a single piece of metal and doesn't fold at all. If you're thinking of putting it in a bag, better make sure that bag is big enough...)

This stand is incredible. I have been using Macbook Pro/Air as my only computing device for over 4 years and I haven't given much thought about computing posture. It was only recently that I thought it was time to fix my computing posture and this does the job. It looks sleek, professional, and the aluminium feels nice to the touch. The packaging was probably a bit OTT for a piece of aluminium and it probably isn't worth the price tag, however, for someone who has been used to having nothing, this makes using your laptop feel amazing.The swivel doesn't affect the stand much and it doesn't spin on its own, you can use your laptop just find without worrying about the swivel turning.It's only £5 more than the stand without, and you never know if you may need it for the future or not.One tiny gripe I do have is I wish the elevation could be 0.5 or 1.0 inch higher, it isn't quite eye level for someone of my height (6ft+), otherwise this is definitely something people should consider buying. If you're not bothered about the swivel, it may be worth considering Spinido Macbook Stand as it's £5 cheaper than the Rain design, and I have it on good knowledge that these two stands are pretty much identical. I think what tipped it in the Rain's favour is the swivel stand.

If I hadn't known otherwise, this product could easily have been produced by Apple itself. There is no noticeable difference in the quality/brushing of the aluminium between my Macbook Pro and the Rain Design mStand. With hindsight, I think the swivel base is an add-on which I don't think is particularly necessary given the weight of the laptop and stand is light enough to turn anyway... But for an extra £5, I guess it isn't that much of a problem. The only downside with this product is the height is non-adjustable (which it is advertised as), so if you're looking for a product where you can easily change the height of the laptop, or the angle it sits at,this is not the product for you - The height of the laptop is fixed by the stand, so all you can do is adjust the screen angle.

I purchased this to use with my 2016 MacBook Pro (with Touch Bar). The stand ships in a very nice box with a carry handle. Everything is well presented and the only things in the box are the stand itself, and a Rain design catalogue. The stand is very well designed and sturdy. The space black colour matches the space black MacBook perfectly. I opted for the non swivel version as I wanted to keep my MacBook at a fixed angle.There are rubber feet on the stand to prevent it from scratching your MacBook. Unfortunately, the height and angle are fixed, so cannot be adjusted. I can also confront that it holds the 12" MacBook perfectly, too. Highly recommended if you need a quality stand and are okay with the non-adjustable positions.I personally am very happy with my purchase.

Beautiful Apple-esque minimalist design and does exactly what I wanted.Even my 17inch Macbook Pro looks, sits & swivels great with this stand.With the screen open fully you can feel it is a bit screen heavy with the front of the stand sometimes struggling to hold (through friction) the front of the laptop in place. Not enough to warrant a star downgrade, just something to be wary of as you adjust the screen angle. On the plus side the 17inch sits perfectly on the stand for maximum aeration. The parts of the laptop that get the hottest during resource hungry tasks are constantly exposed to the air.It is probably more perfectly suited to the 15inch (and smaller)but I think it is still the best swivel stand out there for the old school 17inch Macbook Pro.

I was slightly hesitant to order the 360 swivel model for two reasons. First the obvious 'what if it spins too easily?' & second 'why is it cheaper if it's the newer model with new features?'.Thankfully I went ahead and ordered it and am mightily impressed. The stand is as good quality as the images show and my 13" 2015 Macbook Air fits on top without any of the stand coming out the side. I suspect that this would be the same for an 11" MBA but since I don't own one I can't confirm.There is no movement in the stand or swivel when I move other things around on my desk.When I do want to spin the stand,it feels smooth and doesn't require too much effort.I would absolutely recommend this product and am so glad I spent the cash.

After increasing neck and shoulder pain from laptop computer work, I went in search of a stand that could help alleviate the problem. I am delighted to say that this Rain Design stand totally lives up to its good reviews. It holds my macbook pro securely and lifts it to a comfortable eye line position, improving my posture while working on a separate keyboard, and relieving the stress on my neck and shoulder. It is a good solid design and is an asset to my home office. I wish I'd bought one much sooner! Very happy with my purchase which was delivered quickly and very well packaged.

Good well built nice designed product very much in the Apple type theme. Colour matches well to my grey MacBook . It relatively light weight but sturdy, a little clunky on the swivel action but nota big deal. Still worth having the swivel base. Generally please with this purchase which is much better than working with a laptop on a flat work surface. You will need a remote keyboard to avoid wrist strain using a n elevated laptop though, and a mouse, assuming you are using the laptop on stand for several hours.

Very high quality stand, elevates the laptop to a good height and is great if you use an external monitor as the two can sit side by side. The rotating base on the bottom is a nice little feature, although in my setup I don't use it that much. The hole at the back for cable management is definitely useful. The rubber pads on the top part are nice to protect the metal from scratching, and the metal lip at the front stops your machine from slipping. Overall a great stand that matches Apple laptops very well.

I wanted a product that would compliment my new Macbook Pro 2019 13" model.The rotation feature is helpful for webcam calls.The overall look and feel of the product fits well with the Silver Macbook and the rubber grips keep the stand + the Macbook securely in place even with nudges.I would recommend spending the extra money to get this product if you're looking for the higher end products that will compliment your investment.

This stand does the job brilliantly.It looks great next to other Mac products on my desk and the aluminium matches almost exactly. The 'swivel' function works great and is smooth.Only downside is when you need to move it (physically lift it up), the plate underneath that allows it to spin makes a bit of a racket. It's bad, but noticeable especially when you're in an office environment.

This stand is absolutely fantastic.It makes the Macbook Pro even more usable. Whether we use it in our office desk top where my wife pairs it up to her Imac or move it around the house eg = on the kitchen worktops,table tops sets of drawers etc.It is well made and very very versatile. I cannot praise it highly enough!I would certainly have no hesitation in buying this product again.

Best item for my laptop as it swivels for when you need to show the person sat next to you the screen of your laptop without lifting it to place in front of them. Doesn’t tip over. Has a hole for electronic wires to go through which I like to keep it a bit more tidy on the table. It has enough weight which prevents it from tipping over when your laptop is placed on it.

Perfect, looks fabulous with my Mac Book Pro 13" identical metal work, looks cool and sleek. Saw plenty of cheaper less sturdy items. Hey, you get what you pay for and having paid 1300 for my Mac why would I skimp on comfort of use. The extra pounds for having the swivel facility is worth it, you may not use it often, but it makes life so much easier when you need too.

An excellent, sturdy stand. Felt very high quality to the standard of an official apple product. Colour match is excellent to my dark macbook. I love this stand. Never wobbles or feels like the laptop is unsteady. Having the laptop screen closer at eye level has really improved my neck strain when working for long periods of time. Sits well beside my 27" Dell Monitor.
