Tall people like me can find it quite uncomfortable to look down at their laptop screen. After a few hours you can get sore eyes and a stiff neck. A simple laptop stand like this solves the problem by lifting up the back of your laptop and therefore raising the screen closer to eye level. There are many different designs of laptop stand available. Here are my thoughts on the I-Spire Laptop Lift:Pros:- The simple solid plastic design means this is a robust and stable platform for your laptop that feels like it will survive quite a few knocks and scrapes.- The curved design from front-to-back means there is plenty of air circulating around and underneath your laptop,so it shouldn't overheat (and may actually be cooler than it would be sat on a desk).- The rubber feet keep the stand in place on your desk, so it doesn't slide around in use.- It is big enough to support a 17" widescreen laptop. I tested it with a standard 15.6" laptop and it was more than big enough.- The two plastic lugs at the front do keep the laptop firmly in place and aren't tall enough to interfere with your typing.- Although this is quite a simple product, it does represent good value, especially compared to other laptop stands.Cons:- The design is pretty drab and boring. Why have they gone for old-school beige and grey? I would have much preferred something more like silver and black, but that's personal preference. It is at least inoffensive, but it won't win any style awards.- Although its single piece design is robust, it does not offer any adjustment whatsoever. You cannot change the slope of the keyboard or the height off the desk surface, unlike some other competing products (although they are all more expensive). If you need some adjustment, you should look for a different product.- Some people may not find it comfortable to type on a laptop keyboard when it's sloping upwards on this stand. This is not a specific issue with this particular stand, but you should be prepared to take some time to get used to this. You may find it best to use a separate keyboard when the laptop is on the stand.Overall, I am happy with this product, despite a few minor niggles. I give it a solid 4 stars.

This is a cheap and simple device that holds a tablet in a near vertical position for easier viewing of the screen. There is no actual "connection" the tablet just sits in a groove in a sort of cradle. So this should work with all makes of tablet placed either vertically or horizontally in the cradle. While in the cradle I can use the touch screen without pushing the lot over but obviously if you push the tablet with an abnormal amount of force it will push over. If you have a particularly unresponsive touch screen you may have problems. Many things are made of plastic these days and while in some cases that may be bad I don't think it matters much with this unit as it looks the part and is sturdy enough to do the job.Being so simple there is nothing to go wrong. The question may be "do you have a use for it?" Reading/viewing the screen while lying in bed will not be helped by this cradle nor while out and about. Where it does come into its own is when trying to read/view the screen when you don't want to pick up the tablet. I find it very useful in the kitchen where I can view recipes and I don't need to pick up the tablet with messy hands. Another use I have found is when sitting at a desk and copying things from the screen with pen and paper. The tablet is much easier to view when upright and your hands are free to write and handle books etc.Maybe not a million and one uses but for the money I think it is worth it just for use in the kitchen.I did notice that the product description for this is actually for the laptop lift. No doubt this error will be changed and this comment will become unnecessary.

Comes in a huge box, with a smaller box containing the stand. Lot of packaging for such a small item!I used with an iPad 3 and found the stand pretty useful, I've tried several docks and stands but this is the best of the bunch - you can put the tablet in either orientation which is useful. There is a groove where you slot the tablet in, and a small raised plastic back that holds it in place. The stand is weighted slightly so it's reasonably sturdy. However one issue is that the stand curves over in a C shape, which means you have space underneath it to store things or thread the cable through (there is a hole in the back of the stand for this) but what it does mean is that the tablet wobbles a little when you touch it.It's not a massive issue, and it's good for watching tv/movie or reading with minimal interaction - I used it mainly to read the news online and it was perfect for that. I did find it quite distracting if playing a game on the stand though. The biggest bonus for me was that it would accept the iPad with the case on (Apple's smart case). This was something unique as every other stand or dock I've tried required the case to be removed which was just too much hassle so I didn't bother.I like it and it's something I'm using regularly for general browsing - it's good value for money too!Recommended.

I don't feel I can rate this product badly because it accomplishes perfectly well what it sets out to do. It holds a tablet securely at a slight angle so you can view it. The bottom of the stand is has four rubber grips so that it doesn't slide. It does have a slight "bounce" but I wasn't concerned about the secureness of my ipad at any point. I found it great for looking at things like recipes on my ipad on the kitchen counter. The only negative was that if I put it on on the side with the buttons it would "lean" on the volume continuously.Equally I find it hard to be super excited about it. There isn't anything particularly remarkable about it, it's a "printer white and grey" colour, plastic, not terribly ugly but not very beautiful either. It doesn't really do anything else apart from hold your tablet, but that's what it is designed to do and I can't fault it on that!

This smart tablet stand is very useful if you are passively watching something that requires no interaction, so it's ideal for watching a film, for example. One small caveat is that it needs to be rested on a hard base or it will topple over, so it's no good if you are wanting to use it in bed. This stand is of no use if you are wanting to interact with your tablet, such as using a social networking site or general net surfing. This is because the tablet is only a few degrees off vertical and therefore not at an ergonomic position for interfacing. However, if you have a keyboard attached then the stand will again be functional. So, depending on what you want to use your tablet for,you may or may not find this a good product - if you regularly use your tablet for catching up on television or other extended viewing purposes, you may well find this stand useful.

Perfect for my needs, my dell Vostro 15 fits perfectly, none of the input points are obstructed if you use a laptop with front input ports, I used a couple of Scotch adhesive dots on my laptop as the pads were worn and it slid sideways, [not the products fault!], I think a 17" would fit comfortably with only an inch overhang each side, no more stiff neck with my screen now at eye level. [I put in on the top of my wheeled computer stand 28.5" high from floor level, the pull out keyboard shelf is 24.25" and slides out just above my lap while sitting on a riser chair hence it's perfect for my use. I've given tis information so you can visualise in your mind how it is in use!I'm a happy man and recommend it.

I use it with my 17.3 inch lenovo z70-80. Because the upper bound of this lift touches the ventilation holes of my laptop's CPU fan, therefore I have to move my laptop left until the holes are exposed to the air. Apart from that it does work well with my lenovo z70-80. It does not hamper any connection ports whatsoever. However bare in mind that Z70-80 is a rather thin and light 17.3 inch laptop. Also because I bought the Amazon warehouse deals which is a package-damaged one, this lift inside its package is also damaged though it is not used. Therefore I think they need to use more rubberised material instead of this kind of hard PC for they grey opaque plastic part.

My kindle fire hd sits on this perfectly. I already had a case that flips over to prop it up to watch stuff on it but you can't charge it at the same time because of where the sockets are. With this stand I can now watch a film and charge it. Great! My only grumble is that the box it came in plus the additional amazon packaging was excessive to say the least. Come on amazon think a bit more eco with your boxes! Nice item though, feels pretty solid too.

Takes a 17inch screen laptop, 16.5x11 inches footprint, with a barely noticeable inch of laptop overhanging each side. None or hardly any of the laptop overhangs at the back. It gives me just the right amount of tilt, but please note that it's not adjustable. The two short lip bars adequately stop my laptop from moving or sliding off. I like the unobtrusive look of this riser. Good value at 17quid99 compared to some I browsed on Amazon.

This stand is perfectly sturdy and does the job of being a stand very well.I was surprised by the quality of the plastics used. This feels extremely solid and well built. No rough edges to speak of.The only shame is that there is very little adjustment which it could do with. The only other negative is that it looks a little bland. Maybe if it was black it would help. But on the whole this is well built and does its job perfectly.

Fellowes I-Spire Series Tablet Lift - WhiteWhilst pleasing in appearance it is an awkward shape and so not as easily portable as the item it is intended to support. That being said, if this were kept permanently at a location where your tablet was going to be used it would help with eye relief and certainly if you are working with paper it frees up a little desk space. It is solidly constructed and should wear well.

Built from nice smooth and surprisingly sturdy plastic in white and grey, this is neat and practical as a stand for an iPad or iPad mini and has been used primarily in the kitchen as a recipe stand, which is what I really needed it for and it does just what I needed it to. The rubber grips mean that it doesn't slip and slide around the work surface and it holds the iPad mini at a good angle for viewing.

I was greatly impressed by this stand as it came out of the box it felt hard and sturdy and it seats very well on my desk to support any tablet-ipad device. It is very stable and does not move when touching the device. It does look stylish as well and is relatibly small to the size of the box it came in as well. The price is a bonus, very good stand for under 16 GBP.

Love this stand. Quality is superb, Takes 13.3 and 14" laptops with ease and maybe slightly bigger although I don't have a larger laptop than 14". Can be used on your lap or desk, as it is raised it circulates air without having to have any fans. Super, would recommend it.

A stylish product built from sturdy plastic. If it's possible to get excited at something like this that's just a bit of plastic that holds a tablet, well, you could do a lot worse. It does what it's supposed to do and looks good doing it.
