I really like the material coated rests from Fellowes They are well made, substantial, and thanks to the material covering them they are comfortable even in the summer. The standard rests with no material covering feel sticky and horrible in the hot weather. It turned out that I didn't need to adjust the height of the rest, but I didn't really buy it for that. By the way, the rest is more adjustable that the sales blurb says because if you need it to go even lower it isn't connected to the plastic base and so the base can be removed and that drops the height nearly another one cm.Compared to other gel rests this is a little harder. This is because the actual gel part rests on a plastic base that accounts for half the thickness of the rest so the gel is other half. Had I known this I may have not bought this particular rest, but I have to say that using it, it was fine. One slightly annoying issue with the rest is that the base of the gel pad was slightly tacky. This is common amongst gel rests so that they stick to the work surface. But this one is sat on top of a plastic base, and I found that when I took my wrists away from the rest, the gel lifted ever so slightly from the base with a little popping noise. The noise was rather annoying! At some point I will glue the rest to the base or something, but for now it is rather irritating!

This mouse pad does what it says on the box, it provides a convenient gel pad to rest your wrist while using the mouse. The risks of RSI etc are pretty well known now so there's no point going into the reasons why you might want one of these. In terms of addressing the wrist issues when using a mouse it does just fine. It's a bit disconcerting that nothing seems to be stuck into place though - if you turn it upside down the mousing surface and the gel pad fall out. I suppose that means you can replace them easily but these things are usually priced at a point that means they are pretty much disposable - my other gel mouse pad (made by Kensington)which I bought for about £20 in mid-2006 is still doing just fine. This one is good in that it is height adjustable where my Kensington version isn't, and the surface of the gel pad feels like something that will stay dry even in the summer if my wrists are a bit sweaty. That's an improvement on the Kensington which has a groove along the middle to allow air to circulate but doesn't actually help a whole lot on a sweaty day.Honestly, if I felt this thing was a bit sturdier I've have given it the full five stars, it's just disconcerting when I open the box and the first thing that happens is bits of it start falling on the floor.

Now if like me, you have a habit of losing your mouse down the back of your computer, this gadget is for you. When I first received this, it was wrapped a little too well. The combination of plastic and cardboard was hard to get through unless you had an industrial pair of scissors. After managing to rip open the package, I found to my surprise that the mouse came in THREE pieces, not one whole piece. First there's the backing to the mouse pad itself, the hinges underneath can be flexed until you reach the height you want it to be. Next comes the wrist support which is not gel resin like most mouse pad wrist supports which just sticks into its rightful place in the plastic backing.Lastly the mouse part itself slips into its place and Volia! The mousepad is all ready to go, and the best thing is no more losing the mouse again. It clings to the pad like a magnet and now you can easily watch a your pointer glide around your screen without having to adjust your mouse just to reach that top part that usually causes you to lose your mouse everytime you do that. Fellowes proves that they have the gear to help out technophobes and technojunkies in their hour of need and damn its good.

I tend to be rather suspicious of things that claim to improve the ergonomics of a mouse or similar - experience suggests that they are fiddly, annoying and / or simply do not do what is required. This pad is different! It does work. After a few days using it with a trackpad (and occasionally mouse) there is noticeably less strain and tension on my wrist than ever before.UPDATE - 24 AUGUST 2011 - I am still using this pad. Having had niggling wrist pains for years using mice (mouses??) and latterly a trackpad, since the date I started using this I have suffered not one twinge. As a day-long computer user, this is one wonderful product! For once, an ergonomic device that works! And works very, very well.

I love this combined wrist-rest and mousepad. I use it with my laptop and travel-size mouse and rest it on the arm of my sofa, where it sits very nicely. It has a rigid plastic base (with a two sets of mini feet that can be flipped out to raise either end if needed)so it can be used on any uneven surface and creates a great useable surface for the mouse. Its suprisingly nice quality and as both the gel wrist pad and the fabric mouse mat can be removed, all the parts could be gently washed in soapy water if they start to get dirty, which is a great improvement over the one I use at work. It's on a pretty good offer price right now too so I'd definately say it's a good buy at that price.5 stars.

This is the second Fellowes mouse mat I have bought like this. It is very comfortable ( you sometime have to get used to a mouse mat for a few days to be sure ), and the mouse glides over the surface easily. It does have a tendency to swivel to the right if the legs are not extended, but this is a small flaw easily ignored and easily rectified ( extend the padded legs :) ).I would recommend this pad to any who need a good and comfortable place to rest their wrist and/or those who use the mouse more than average ( e.g. gamers ).

I was very pleased with this product, firstly the size is perfect, it is not as wide as a usual mousemat so takes up little space on your desk, the part with the mouse on is maybe 15cm by 15cm and is perfect for a PC based laser mouse. The gel pad is perfect for my wrist and the tilt on the overall unit makes it very easy to use. All in all a very well priced quality product that does exactly what you need it to. Strongly recommended.

I have bought this as a replacement for an identical one I bought about 8 years ago, the gel support of which was still supportive, but the fabric had wrinkled. If I'd know how to buy the gel bit & mouse pad separately I'd have done that. The new mouse pad is less thick, but with much better 'slideability' as the old one had got a bit grubby with years of hard daily use. Highly recommended.

Very neat and clean pad.Daily use for Logic Pro, I also have a 24" external monitor and I'm yet to suffer any rsi. There is plenty of room for the mouse to venture around on, and if there isnt - speed the tracker up!

10.7.2015

Good product .Only let down by height adjustable feature which can pop out of the UP position if pushed forward or back.Other wise an excellent piece of kit and I would buy again.

I use the mouse a lot and sometimes get aches in my wrist. Since buying this wrist support, I hardly ever suffer. This is my second one and I wouldn't choose anything else.

Excellent product, great design.Does the job better than a conventional mouse mat.I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I bought this for my husband as when he saw mine and tried it he wanted one. He loves it and would also recomend it.

Very utilitarian in appearance and strangely a little squeaky under the wrist. It is good though.

Much better than other wrist support products. Good product, have one at home and one in work.
