I was so excited when I got the Kitvision camera because I've wanted an action camera for a long time now and have always been really jealous when seeing other people out with their GoPro's. The first thing I noticed when I got it out of the packaging is how small it is. It's about 5cm x 5cm without the case, plus an extra cm with the case on. I think this is a really nice size for an action camera as if it was any bigger and it would start becoming awkward to attach to helmets/selfie sticks etc.Something I was really pleased about was how many accessories it comes with. There's a bicycle mount, helmet mount, tripod adaptor, mount for flat surfaces, and a round sticky pad to stick the camera onto your dashboard. What I've found as well is that these mounts can easily be adapted to fit on other surfaces than those they are specifically made for, which gives you so much more choice on where to attach your camera when filming. One thing to note though is that the camera doesn't come with a memory card. I brought a standard 16GB microSDHC memory card which works perfectly with it. There is however a USB cable included so there is no need to purchase a card reader to transfer data from the camera to computer. The waterproof/protective case that comes with the camera is a really neat design. It's thick enough to feel like it comfortably protects the little camera inside, but doesn't feel bulky or hinder the use of the top button. The camera itself has two buttons on it (one on the top and one on the side), but once the protective case is on you can only access the top button, which allows you to turn the camera on and off, start/stop filming, or capture photos. The first time I used my camera was on a bike ride. It took about 1 minute to attach the camera to the middle of the handle bars on my bike (no tools are required for any of the mounts, you can do it all with your hands) and then off I went. What's nice about the mounts is that you can adjust them to any tightness so the camera felt really secure on my bike and did not slip even when wet. It was absolutely pouring down for the whole cycle ride but there was no leakage of water into the case and the main button was still very accessible when wet and not at all slippery/stiff, which is good when taking those quick action shots. I filmed my whole bike ride and was really pleasantly surprised when I uploaded the footage onto my PC. I was cycling over muddy fields so as expected the image was quite shaky but as soon as I went on pavement/ a smoother surface the footage went really steady. I also found the colour of the film was true to life, which for me is always a pet hate when an image comes out with a strange overtone. Furthermore I found that the quality of the film was nice and clear with only a very minimal graininess. Two worthwhile features to mention are the continuous mode and the timer mode this camera has. These are really handy if you are either taking a burst of action photos, or if you are taking photos with your friends (there is a screw on the bottom of both the camera and the case where you can attach the camera to a tripod). One thing I would definitely recommend if using the camera out in rain would be to take a soft cloth with you so that you can keep the lens on the case streak free. I found that when it stopped raining I did get a slight blur on the case from dried water. I just cleaned this off with my sleeve which worked fine, but for really crystal clear images you may want to use a dry clean cloth. In my opinion this is a great entry level camera, which may suit the average consumer better than the top of the range alternatives. I think you get a lot of quality action camera for your money, and it does the basic functions very well. Both the camera and case feel like they have been built to last, and I would be very confident that dropping the camera (when in its case)on hard ground wouldn't damage it in the slightest. I can't wait to take this camera on holiday with me, it's just what I needed to capture all of the activities I get up to.

I got this action camera during the recent Prime day, so it was heavily discounted. I had been considering taking the plunge and getting a GoPro but when I saw this I thought, why not, at that price?(around £38 I believe). We tried it out on holiday in the swimming pool and we're thrilled with how well the photos and film came out.Great things include: the waterproof case, which works. Really great specs, especially compared to the entry level GoPro. It has a screen, albeit it's quite difficult to see anything detailed, it's extremely handy. Not so great things: a bit bulky, but at that price that's fair enough. There was no way to select for it to automatically go into photo mode when it was switched on - in the pool we sometimes accidentally switched it off(due to the clunky design of case) and then were stuck with video mode due to the waterproof case. Battery life is maybe a little on the low side, we got about 30-40 minutes of life out of it.All in all though, an absolute bargain and I'm looking forward to try it out in Disney world next year!

I was provided this product to test and review for free. My review is based mainly on my use of the camera as an underwater camera. I have a little one - she loves swimming and we have done swimming photo shoots but they cost a lot so I thought I would try get my own "action" shots of her. First impressions - good looking camera, compact and sturdy looking. Not as bulky as expected. It does not feel flimsy though. It was easy to set up and use. Not too technically complicated which is what I like. In terms of photo and video quality - I do agree with the other reviewers that the quality is a bit grainy but for the price difference between this and the other very much more expensive competitors,I believe you do get what you pay for. I am not intending to use it for sky diving or cycling etc, so for what I need this for - holiday swim photos, I am more than happy with this product.

When in the case you cannot change the mode from video to picture, you have to remove it from the case first. As default from boot it will start in video mode.Good little camera, takes decent pictures, sometimes the fish-eye effect is a bit annoying, but they still look good. Haven't got to try any proper video's yet - as in action/helmet-cam, but it looks like it'll do the trick nicely.

If you have a problem using a 64GB card and it comes up with card error when trying to format use a 3rd party piece of software on a PC to format a 64GB card to FAT32 rather than EXFAT, it should work fine. It seems to be the EXFAT format that is the problem (standard on 64GB cards).

I like it, but it's true that, when you use it in water, due to the difference in temperature, the lens tend to make the photo a bit blurred or foggy. But a great purchase for that value.
