For the past year I have been using the Jaybird Freedom Wireless earbuds, which have really impressed me, so I was keen to try these new Jaybird Run Headphones. And, so far, I am also impressed by these. The sound quality and tone on these Jaybird Run Headphones is very good. The sound is rich and warm, with a good range of treble and bass. I listen to a variety of music (classical, folk, jazz, and rock) and find these a pleasure to listen to. The optional Jaybird app for modifying the sound is very good and easy to use.I find the buds very comfortable to wear, and they feel secure in the ear. As with all ear buds,it’s worth spending some time testing the ear fittings to find the best fit – it’s surprising how much difference this can make to the sound quality. There are a couple of quirks that, although not deal breakers, I wish Jaybird would fix. You can, for example, use the app to toggle the earbud buttons’ function between track pause or skip, and volume adjustment. Changing this setting momentarily disconnects the phone, closing the music stream. By the way, I found the default out-of-box maximum volume is a bit quiet for me – I was trying to listen to a radio play in the gym. However, using the ear-bud buttons to increase the volume means that I can now get a more suitable volume range using my phone volume buttons.Another minor annoyance is that the app doesn’t always detect the ear buds, even though the phone detects them and can play the music. This happens frequently when the buds are taken out of their case, switching on automatically. I therefore usually end up manually rebooting the buds.Be aware, if you are considering buying ear buds of this type, that the extra processing for syncing the two buds can produce a lag in the sound. This is so with this set. When I watch movies on my phone, the sound from these headphones lags behind the picture by about one second, regardless of the app I am watching through. This pretty much makes them unsuitable for watching video. If you are intending to watch video you might need a set with wired connection between the earbuds, such as the Jaybird Freedom.Verdict: Great sound quality (especially if you use the app). Comfortable and secure fitting. Excellent for radio and music, but the time lag will disappoint movie watchers.

First the good points:1. These ear buds a truly wireless in that they simply pop in your ears without any sort of wire or flex to bother about. Great for walking and running. The interchangeable ear fins and tips ensure a good fit in your ear so that they should stay firmly in your ear even when moving.2. The small box that holds the earbuds when not in use doubles as a charger and means you can carry them safely in your pocket or elsewhere getting charged while protected. The buds are supposed to operate for up to four hours when fully charged, and the container/charger also holds a charge to recharge the buds when necessary. The charger is recharged by plugging in a small USB lead to either a suitable mains plug or to computer.3.The buds are supplied with a range of fins and tips to ensure a good fit when moving and to optimise the range of frequencies, bass level and isolation from external noisesNow the critical points:1. I found best fitting the buds quite difficult to achieve as compared with other wired buds I have used. The fins in particular take a lot of experimentation to get the best fit. As for the tips, I found the best sound and fit was achieved with the largest size. With all the other sizes the sound was thin and weak and there was virtually no bass.2. Getting the buds to link up securely and solidly with my iPhone 6s was a trial! The signal to the left ear bud kept dropping out and I was on the point of returning them as defective. But, after deleting the existing Bluetooth connection on my phone, and starting again with a connection after the buds had been in the charger and in the full 'Off' state for some hours, this issue seems to have (almost) disappeared. I suspect the buds may be affected by other wireless and/or Bluetooth signals for my tablet, TV etc. I still experience occasional short drop outs with one bud (the left).Given their complete absence of wires in use I find these a very useful pair of wireless buds for use when walking or running. The music range is not as good as other medium to high quality headphones I have used, but it is certainly good enough for use when travelling or running/walking. I still have reservations about the robustness of the Bluetooth linkage with phone or other source, however.

These are well presented earbuds, that are a little bigger than wired ones but are quite impressive when you realise there is a battery and bluetooth as well as the speakers in each bud. They come in a protective case that also doubles as a charger and additional battery - you charge the case that gives you around 8 hours backup battery for when out and about, you just store them and they'll charge. You get around 4 hours use from the headphones in one go. As well as the carry case, you get a USB charger and cloth bag to carry around. They are surprisingly comfortable in the ear, and I was expecting them to be quite loose and pop out but they stuck in place really well. The small added weight of the battery may have helped to keep them in place. You get 4 pairs each of ear buds (for the speakers), and also ear holders so will fit most ears.Very easy to pair (and it even tells you how to do it!) and I connected to an iPhone quickly. Sound quality is good and very clear speech and music is really good, even at volume. There is very little spillage in the sound for people sat near you. I used on a flight recently and they are convenient to use and considerate for those next to me.These are expensive for earbuds, however the quality is excellent and the attention to detail to each area shows. Combine this with the comfort and easy of use make these good value for the price. The 4 hour battery life is on the short side, but the easy charge case makes it easy to get a quick boost there giving you a total of 12 hours use which is enough for most people away from a plug.Recommended

This is my first time with Jaybird headphones and I'm left very impressed. The earbuds come in a lovely presentation case, but is much more clever than just that, as it also acts as a charging dock. The earbuds slot into the case and the supplied USB cable charge it. A very cool feature.Using the earbuds is as simple as switching on bluetooth on you music playing device, connecting to the Jaybird earphones, and that's it. The sound is really very good, clarity is fantastic and noise cancelling is also really good. The earbbuds have a small switch in them which can be used to skip forward, take calls, pause etc.As with an earbud of this size there is the obvious question of 'fit'. Will it stay in place?Well I found that changing to a smaller bud size (various sizes and 'hooks' are included) felt comfortable and stayed secure in place. It stayed in place also when out running. As these earbuds are wireless there is a great freedom to be had when listening to music without any cables. Especially when out running or perhaps on a walk, where long dangling cables can be a hassle (getting earbuds yanked out by the cable is a painful experience).Overall I really like these wireless earbud headphones. They're comfortable, great sounding and easy to carry with you.* It's worth noting at the time of writing I could not access the support page for this product. Nor could I find any mention at all of them on Jaybirds website. The Amazon product page was also not available either, so I do not know the price of these earphones.

Jaybird 985-000677 Run are, as it says on the box, true wireless sports headphones. They come in a very neat, custom carry case, that also doubles as a charger. Charging, which delivers 4 playing time, is by a supplied USB cable from a PC, or any USB charger. For spontaneous runs, 5 minutes charging will provide an hour of music. The two wireless earbuds are waterproof, and each is fitted with a single, multi-function button to cover; power on/off, pause/play, accept/end call, decline call and Bluetooth pairing. Several tips and fins are provided to ensure a comfortable fit and optimal sound quality. Having found the best fit, you won’t know you’re wearing them. Pairing is a doddle with IOS or Android devices.Sound quality is excellent; it really fills the head. The Jaybird app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play, allows you to override the settings on your playing device to customise the sound. The marketing literature says the app can be used to find your buds if you lose them, but I wasn’t able to discover how this works.I’m not a runner, but I take long walks and, so far, I’ve not experienced any movement in the ear that could result in them being dislodged. I really dislike trailing wires, and already have wireless headphones, but these earbuds take the wireless experience to a new level. If I have a gripe, it’s with the documentation. Although adequate, it gives the minimum information and the printing is very small. This is compounded by it being printed in pale grey.

These are the smallest wireless earbuds I've used. They don't have a stupid looking stick antenna dangling from them. In fact they're only slightly larger than most wired ones. While the 4 hour battery life is a bit short, the case they come in has a built-in battery pack and will extend the run time by another 4 hours.Connecting these to my phone was quick and easy, though the "please connect to the phone" message coming from them when first turned on gets annoying really quickly. The sound quality is very good, and can be tweaked to your own preference using the free app. So far, so good. But there is a problem with them. If, like me, you normally carry your phone in your left pocket, these suffer really bad signal drops. And I do mean bad. Every few seconds, one or the other ear piece stops working. I thought it was a problem with the streaming service, but it stopped when I took the phone out of my pocket. Placing the phone in the right pocket solved the problem. It's not a major problem, but it is an annoying one for me.These fit me straight out of the box, but they come with a wide range of pieces to ensure a good fit. They're not waterproof, but are shower resistant. These would be my main headset, if it wasn't for the reception problem. I really don't like carrying my phone in the right pocket. It's where I keep my keys.

Small wireless earbuds that are comfortable to wear, can be recharged via the case, and produce good sound. What else might on want? They also work in the rain (I've tried them) and didn't give me any problems in doing so!Setting up was a breeze for me and pairing was straight forward. The iOS app allows full control and I'll be switching to Android soon so hope that app is just as good. I haven't had any sound drop outs, but judging by some other reviews, this does happen, so be warned. For me, the only trouble with wireless earphones is that the simplicity of wrapping the cord around my phone and shoving everything back into my pocket is no longer an option, obviously.I now must carefully place these into the case, or into my pocket. As there are two, losing one (or both) seems a real possibility. It's not a failure of this product, but the concept of wireless earphones altogether.Overall, recommended.

with all bluetooth stuff you have to bear in mind that things have to be close or the signal is lost. Close other bluetooth stuff can interfere also. These headphones are good in that they have lots of fittings for all shapes of ears. They are reasonably small and the software for settings puts you in control. It is good to be able to adjust tone, volume etc to get the sound that you want. They fit well and are good because there is no hanging cable to break or pick up sounds from your clothing. They are trendy and sound great. My son advised me to get some for running and sports and he was right. Excellent for active folks who want sound but not the hassle of dangling cords or having to find somewhere to put the MP3 or phone.Great for motorbikes too

I have tried both the Bose Soundsport Free and the Jabra Sport Elite, both had to be returned due to them falling out of my ears whilst running. The Bose especially as I couldn’t run more than 20 yards without them falling out and feeling throughout like rhey were going to. The Jaybird Run on the other hand feel secure throughout, sound is great, setup is seamless. Thank goodness I saw a YouTube review comparing all three.... so pleased I got these.

Love there! You need to ensure that you use the app. Or sometimes both headphones will not connect! The sound quality was surprisingly decent. I thought it was gonna be muddy but it wasnt. The app also let's you fully customised the EQ and has a lot useful presets. The fit well and look great in the earAll and all a great and worthwhile purchase for £75! Makes the commute to and from work less cumbersome because there are no wires.

great sound. I have tried many, but these are definitely the best, using their Android App and calibrating the sound you want! genius. The only thing (and it's a huge thing) that I hate is the lack of button functionalities!! With the Jabra 65t, I can skip tracks, answer calls, change volume etc.. directly on the buds. With these, I can only program them to EITHER skip track or change volume....

You get lots of add-ons to help make them fit your ear – mine fitted fine. The sound quality is good, as is the battery life. They use nanotechnology to repel water – it is tried and tested technology, used to waterproof mobile phones among other things.I've had it drop the Bluetooth connection but it hasn't done it very often.
