This phone is stunning and it's incredible that it only costs £380 (when i brought it). Although it's not perfect, it ticks the boxes that i would want out of a smartphone.Design:This phone's design is gorgeous, its so elegant and attractive to look at. It's nice and thin and i love that it has a slight curved edges. It's a very sensitive design that heavily requires to be protected with a case, thankfully there is a case provided in the box which is very nice.Display (6 inch 1080 x 2160 amoled display HDR10 compliant):This is my very first time owning an a smartphone with an amoled display and its beautiful especially when you enable vivid mode and FHD+.I love how the colours are so bright and vibrant on this phone and when you consider that its a 6 inch screen, watching media is a joyful experience.Speaker quality (stereo speakers):The speakers are outstanding!! It's crisp, loud and clear especially when you rotate it to landscape. I highly recommend enabling "stereo+" in the settings to experience the quality of the speakers when watching media content in landscape. Huawei does provide a type C earphones which is great and they do offer some features in the settings to enhance the experience. In terms of it's quality, when using the earphone indoors is very good, however when using it outside is not so good mainly because I find that it's very quiet and when enabling the "Huawei listen sound effects" it helps a little bit but not that much. So i used a third party in ear earphones and it performed much better than the Huawei's earphones.Battery and charging (4000 mAh battery):Another reason why you should consider this phone is the battery life. It's absolutely fantastic! I can easily get above 6h of on screen time at maximum brightness and the phone will still be above 50-60% (i am a faily light user). It's a joy having a smartphone that is able to last throughout the whole day without charging it. The phone also comes with Huawei's super charging and it charges very quick!Rear Cameras (12 MP, f/1.6 & 20 MP f/1.6 laser AF 2160p@30fps, 1080p@30/60fps) and Front facing camera (8 MP, f/2.0 ,1080p@30fps ):When it comes to the camera quality, it's brilliant! I love how quick it focuses on a certain item and having a monochrome camera is a great option to have. Video is also great as well, the optical image stabilization (OIS) is CRAZY SMOOTH! I just love how the camera focuses on the subject when recoding video. The interface is complex and there are ALOT of options, features, etc, so it's going to take some time getting used to how to actually use the camera to it's best ability. The front camera is pretty good, i haven't fully tested it but from what I've seen so far, it has a potential of being a fantastic front facing camera.Software (EMUI 8.0 Android 8.0):I have to say EMUI isn't that bad at all, it's relatively easy to navigate through the software. There are things that i dislike about this UI. One of them is the knuckle gestures, I find that it's a aggressive feature to use and it requires to really use your knuckles in an aggressive manner in order for the feature to work. Also, when receiving notifications on the lock screen, i can't seem to expand the notification and the only way to expand the notification is to unlock the phone which is quite annoying. But, once you get used to EMUI, it's a pretty good UI that has room for improvements.Performance (HiSilicon Kirin 970 GPU Mali-G72 MP12):Performance is great on this phone, it quick, smooth and its fairly reliable. There are some minor issues, lags, etc, but that can all be fixed with software updates so it's not too much of a concern.Other things:The fingerprint sensor is nice and fast and you can also use the fingerprint sensor for other things like to swipe down (on the fingerprint sensor) to get to notification panel, browse photos, answer calls, stop alarms, take photo or video, etc. Face unlock is fairly reliable to use, but sometimes it takes awhile to find your face (especially if you are wearing a hat or in a dark environment), call quality is very good on this phone, using mobile data absolutely fine and the vibration it's excellent on this phone. The phone is also IP67 dust/water resistant which means it can handle water up to 1m for 30 minutes, so getting this phone wet is not a problem. This phone does NOT have a headphone jack, however Huawei does provide a type C to 3.5mm headphone converter in the box so don't lose it :DOverall, this phone is a beauty and although it's a year old, it's a smartphone that should be heavily considered especially when you look at the price of this phone. It's a beautiful, stunning smartphone that can improve greatly with software updates. The only thing that's stopping me from rating this phone a 5 star is the software. Nevertheless, the Huawei mate 10 pro is a smartphone that i highly recommend.

Update. The battery is something else. Not once in 3 weeks has it had to be charged during the day even with heavy use and the longer I use it the better it seems to get. Today it's now at 77 percent and has been off charge for 12 hours. That's with over 2 hours of screen on time. My previous phones would now be nearly flat. Also special is the night camera which is great for sunsets and moon light photography. It's not SLR quality but hand-held I cannot actually achieve better with an SLR and stock lens. Only by using a tripod or specialist lens could I beat the pictures this phone manages.Call quality and speaker quality also impress. What don't I like. The always on display is poor.Won't display 3rd party apps. And use it and battery takes a hit. The vibrate motor is noisy and not that forceful. Too tall for 1 handed use. Photos zoomed in not that good. White balance not great indoors. Use preset for better colour accuracy.Overall I'm very impressed. Maybe not quite as polished as some others but does everything well. This is basically a p20 pro without the zoom sensor on the camera. For 2/3 of the price. If you're a keen photographer perhaps the p20 pro is the best buy. For everyone else wanting a flagship for a good price this is a great deal. This phone truly excels in many areas and is found wanting in very few. The battery life is superb. I've been using it a lot recently, always have Bluetooth on, WiFi on, data on. Apps syncing, play games, listen to music, take and browse photos. Unplugged at 6.30am and have 47 percent left. That's typical. Screen on for 3 hours 20 so I could use it for another 3 hours screen on. You're looking at 6 to 8 hours screen on over a day or 3 hours a day over 2 days. That's double my last phone. The camera is good, but not quite great. Bit too much image processing going on. Bit over sharpened and colours not quite accurate. Still takes nice images indoors and out. Night mode allows for some impressive images that my camera cannot achieve. Bit noisy when enlarged but my camera couldn't beat it without tripod. Speaker is decent, perfectly listenable unlike some phones. Not the best but better than most. Same goes for screen. Lower resolution than my old LG GT but somehow nicer. Better colours and contrast. Oled looks good. And very battery efficient. No headphone jack and no expandable memory although 128gb storage decent. Supplied usb type c headphones reasonable. Or can use adapter. To avoid over use of charging port I'm tempted to go Bluetooth. Reason for this is probably space and waterproofing. The jack is an easy way to flood the phone. Some of the software feels garish and I've installed my own apps. The messaging app is particularly luminous. Prefer nova launcher. Using that has improved performance from very good to great. Absolutely no lag now. Even if some of the competition was the same price i would pick this. The lower screen resolution and large battery means better battery life. This phone will get android pie and GPU turbo. It'll become even better. The more I use it the more responsive it seems to get, polar opposite of most phones.

This is, without a doubt, the best phone I have ever owned, and I've owned a lot as I change them quite frequently! I used this for nearly two years, whereas I have changed my phone each year (sometimes every six months!) before that. The only reason I "upgraded" and got a phone on contract is because I felt that by waiting another year, this phone would no longer have value as a 3-year-old, second-hand phone. I think the value of Huawei phones has taken a hit in 2019 because of people misunderstanding the Google Android issue (this runs android and you can use the Google Play store; the ban does not apply to this phone), so I wanted to make some money from it at least.I was still hesitant though as,looking around at the market, what phones are better than this? It doesn't have wireless charge, but other than that, what's missing from a 2019 flagship? It has everything you need and an IR blaster, which is not a gimmick: when you can't be bothered to get up and get that TV remote/air con remote/BR player remote from across the room, you can just pull this out and control what you want. Perfect for lazy days!PROSIt has a 4000mAh battery which lasts an incredibly long time. I use about 2 hours screen on time during the day at work, plus map my ride for an hour each to work and listen to music on this at my desk and I get home with 60-70% battery left! That is incredible. If you are coming from a Galaxy phone, you will be blown away by this battery. I got a Note 9, which also has a 4000mAh battery and that was practically dead by the time I got home. Ridiculous! The new Samsung Galaxy S10 doesn't have a 4000mAh battery either, and that is considered one of the best phones on the market! The Mate 10 Pro can still go toe to toe with it though, in terms of quality. The pictures on this are excellent, the camera app is expansive and the phone is still snappy with no lag, no crashes, even after nearly two years of use! I have never backed this up and re-installed the software or anything like that, I've just kept it running 24/7 and the battery and software are still the same as when I bought it. Incredible! The packaging is amazing and really gives you that luxury, Pro feeling. The bezels are thin and the build quality is just incredible. The design is still really modern and stands out. Everyone always wanted to know what camera I was rocking. That Leica branding on it as well put it well above all the other phones out there. That is a true sign of high quality.CONSThere aren't any really. It doesn't get the latest Huawei OS, but I prefer the look of this one, to be honest. My wife has the P20 and that OS looks a little cartoonish. Some apps, like MyFitnessPal don't sync with the in-phone pedometer. A minor issue as you can jsut install Samsung's health app.Poor choice of cases: it's an exclusive phone, so not many big companies do a range of cases, but check out my other reviews of the cases for these and you'll find some excellent ones! All in all, I would definitely recommend this phone. 10/10 and will be sorely missed.

"I received this product as part of a review program in return for an unbiased review". This is my first Huawei phone and i must say that i am pretty satisfied with my purchase. From last 6 months, I was looking to find replacement phone for my current phone. After doing research, i finalized on buying Mate 20 lite. Initial impression on receiving package of this phone was that design is stylist, light weighted and sleek. It came with a manual, sim opening tool, headphones and USB C charger, all in a premium looking black box. After switching on phone, the 6.3 inch screen looks impressive with its 2340 x 1080 resolution. It's bigger than last year's Huawei smartphone model with thinner bezels but has a larger notch at the top to allow for the double front camera. The colors of the screen look natural, if a little more muted than some other phones and the response to touch is really quick and accurate.Face recognition and fingerprint recognition can be used for securely unlocking the phone and both worked well. The Face recognition is the easier of the two as it just works when you hold the phone up and it works well in low light. On back , it has 2 cameras 20mp+2mp for blurring and distance effects with a f/1.8 lens. With Huawei AI technology, camera of the phone weighs more than it's weight and in my opinion at par with cameras of flagship smartphones. Camera app comes with a tons of options and added AI technology takes whole camera experience to next level by recognizing the subject very quickly. The front facing camera is 24MP + 2MP which is gives satisfactory performance as well. This phone runs on Android 9 version with Huawei OS over it which itself is quite optimized for performance. Though, being a first time user of Huawei UI it took me few days to get accustomed with features and shortcuts. Mate20 lite has a wide notch which can be put off for many buyers which is annoying to me as well but it is customizable. Huawei spend good enough time to enhance user experience in their smartphone with great features and one example of it is 3.5mm jack which is a bliss to have it in smartphones. Battery is superb for this phone. I haven't seen any phone with such amazing battery performance. One full charge easily lasts for 2 days. Overall, Mate 20 Lite is a great mid range phone which worth every penny you spend and gives you everything which you can ask from a high end phone in half the cost with amazing performance, battery, screen and superb camera.

Okay my LG G4 finally went bootloop after just over 3 years. So I needed a new phone. I'm never that much of a mug to pay more than £400 for a phone if I have to so took a look at what was going on Amazon for £250 to £400. So we had the Nokia 8 which looked great and super cheap but no notification light. Google Pixel XL MK1...great again but comes out of update support right now so no point. The LG G6 was looking solid if a little dull but I fancied a change maybe. Then the Mate 10 Pro was up. Great looking camera, half the launch price and plenty of storage. The other thing was the 4000mAh battery. If I can't change them at least I'll get a phone with a bigger battery.Oh and it has a notification light.Sold!Okay the phone took nearly a week to arrive but hey. First niggle is the charging cable is 18" too short. The phone itself is great. I made sure I left the screen protector on by peeling the removal tab off instead. Into the case it went. Power on and two updates went straight on which was a good start. I then put back my apps and installed MS Launcher as I didn't want to get involved with EMUI. MS Launcher gives me the most barebones launcher once its tweaked as I want it.I was able to remove/disable 80% of the pre-installed stuff. The only stuff I couldn't was the usual own brand contacts/mail/messaging type stuff. Not terrible I suppose. So speed it great, as is the screen. You can change the screen colour but it comes pretty settled out of the box. The camera seems great though I haven't done much yet. B&W photography does look gorgeous I have to say. I don't take selfies being a 47 year old bloke.I don't listen to music on my phone so the loss of headphone jack is not an issue nor is wireless charging. One feature I miss from the G4 is the split audio levels for ringtone and notifications. Also I have to say the notification light on the 10 pro is a bit pathetic. It's the tiniest LED. Womp Womp!Battery life is tough to call as I'm still in the honeymoon period but it will do me fine I think. It's since dropped another £15 since I ordered it so even more or a bargain! Here's hoping it lasts me three years!Edit - As of Jan 8th, all going well, super well in fact. I got the Android Pie upgrade pushed to my phone about three days ago (about the 5th update I've had since October so not bad). Very nice indeed. Was amazed when the price jumped from the £360 I paid to £699 but seems to be coming back down now.

I received this product as part of a review program in return for an unbiased review. Huawei who??? is where this review begins. Coming from brands that are well known but not that exciting anymore, I was itching for a change. The problem, phones aren’t cheap so experimenting is not an option, hence why many stick to popular brands. Huawei are doing things different, filling you with confidence with flashy ads. I ordered mine from Amazon and it arrived shortly afterwards. I was excited and nervous at the same time, trying to explain the brand to my other half who was not convinced. However the moment you open the box everything changes. It feels premium, no build quality concerns at all,its sexy and slick. Then you turn it on and wow the screen hits you with its vibrant bright colours and hardly any bezels in view. Now the other half is interested and keen to see it up close. I have had the phone for over a week and it’s my main device. I have had friends and family thinking it’s a rival top phone. Only I know It’s not a flagship device but what you get does not make you feel any less. Its packed with features and at this price point it’s worth your attention. The camera is amazing, bright and colourful. Captures are sharp and detailed. The number of extra filters and AR jiggery pokery is all there and fun. The selfie camera is second to none, which on other brands is usually an afterthought. The low light performance is disappointing but then I have to remind myself this is not a flagship device and this is where the cuts have been made. But you have to remember this is a third of the price. I have mentioned the screen and build quality which continue to amaze. I should give kudos to the speaker, considering there is only one it has surprising amount of base and fullness of sound. In the time I have had the phone I have experienced no UI slowdown, everything works great and switching between apps is quick. The UI itself is nice and not bloated. I'm enjoying the customization options with themes and fonts to play with. Just be warned this phone is extremely slippery. It can easily slide off a table when it rings. But a quick look on an auction site and you will find 1000's of cases at great prices, which will fix this. Overall this phone is outstanding easily sitting beside the other top brands. At this price point this phone is a winner and no longer will we being saying Huawei who.

“I received this product as part of a review program in return for an unbiased review”.First impressions: Feels big as soon as you pick it up from the box. The phone (or phablet?) has a 6.3 inch display but it's only 7.5mm thick and feels light. Very smooth with glass rear and aluminium edges. Surprised to find a screen protector in the box. Nice touch Huawei. Has two cameras at the front and two at the back. The front has 24MP and 2MP for depth effects. The rear cameras are 20MP and 2MP. With glass at the back I bought a case when ordering the camera. I am very happy I did this as it's very easy to drop the phone. The Mate 20 Lite has a 2.2Ghz Octa core Kirin 710 processor with 4GB ram and 64GB internal storage with Micro SD upto 256 GB,running Android 8.0 Oreo. Fingerprint sensor works brilliantly. In addition to all the various functions of the sensor it was interesting to see that the sensor can be used to take a photograph. Very useful when in a hurry. Activating face unlock is very easy. Just three sides of your face to be registered. Worked very well every time I picked the phone. Once I tried it in the dark and it worked. On a sunny day it suddenly refused to recognise my face and found that I was wearing sunglasses! No sunglasses for face unlock..!When the phone took my initial photos I had a 5 day growth of beard. Wonder what will happen when I shave..!Having done quite a lot of Freelance Photography I was very keen to get my hands on the camera. With two lenses at the back I was not sure what to expect. But the camera really blew my socks off. The results were so very good..! AI worked very well and the pics that were done without AI showed a big difference. I was surprised when I discovered that one can take a photo without AI and try AI after. AI provided the perfect balance and the colours showed up really well. Something that intrigued me and gave me quite a surprise was the 3D panorama. I was able to get a 360 degrees panorama and then display this in 3D on the mobile. This was totally amazing. The quality of the images too were exceptional. The 24Mb and 2Mb front cameras has AR mode. Little animal heads that respond to your facial movements.Huawei Mate 20 Lite is a mid-range Smart phone with a high end style at a reasonable price. I recommend this to those looking for top of the range features at a mid-range price.

After buying a Huawei tablet (MediaPad M3 10 lit, 5*) and loving the build quality I decided to make my next phone Huawei. Decided on the Mate 10 Pro coz it had no notch and a 96hr battery rating on GSM Arena. What can I say? Awesome. Very good looks, solid build and it does have that great battery. The Emui skin is not too intrusive but I always put Nova Launcher on for my own customisation. It comes with a clear case, screen protector applied, fast charge brick and some USB-C earphones (and a 3.5mm to USB-C for normal earphones you may want to use). The screen is great. The new 18:9 ratio that most phones seem to have means it's taller but narrower, easier on the pocket. It does have some strong power saving modes as default but you can soon sort out which ones to turn off. The battery life is really good. After a full, first charge, it took me 8hrs setting it up, with screen full brightness to run it down. Very impressive. After a few days with it being used normally, it easily gets through a day. Sometimes with 60% still left! The audio is another strong point. Using some hi res earphones I get some good, clear audio. I mostly use Spotify at very high quality. I did notice it doesn't like third party equalisers, preferring it's own, very customisable app. Using its own external speakers the phone uses a downward firing port for the lows while the earpiece handles the treble. However, switch to landscape mode, for video viewing and the two speakers then also split the audio to stereo too. Very good idea. The camera is very good, plenty of modes, though to be honest, I don't use it that often. A few stills, when out with friends etc but they look crystal clear.6gb of ram is more than enough to handle the four constant widgets I have on my home screen and still show no signs of lag.As this model has been superceded by the Mate 20 and P20 models, it's now over half the price it was a year ago. Also, although it's a year old, it still has Android 8 so still pretty much up to date, software wise. It's a great phone, that battery is phenomenal. Very happy with this purchase.

I received this product as part of a review program in return for an unbiased review where do I start, The Huawei Mate P20 Lite is one of the best phones I have come across, I have had the privilege of testing this Device in comparison to the Huawei Mate P20 pro, and can honestly say for the price difference there is not much in it I actually think that Huawei should consider making one dedicated model that has has everything rolled into one phone rather than having the Lite and the Pro, I love the fingerprint detection on the Lite where as on the Pro if you have a case on it the Pro won't recognize your finger print which is annoying I love that there is a phono jack on the Lite,Another downfall I have found with the Lite like other models of Huawei is the headphones are sub standard just like previous versions they really need to change this and give the end user a better quality of headphone, the only other down side is that I keep hitting the back button while typing on the keyboard as this is very near the keypad on scree, Quite a few Family and Friends after playing with my Huawei Mate P20 Lite are looking at these phones at there contract renewal date, I am still learning and familiarizing myself after only using this a few weeks there is still a lot of functionality I am yet to discover but have not had the time yet to experience the full whack of what this product winner can actually do but have played about enough to clearly say it's probably one of the best mid range phones on the market for the money right now and way ahead of other competitors out there with it's excellent AI, Camera which is very versatile and gives a stunning picture that you can play around with, charging time is top notch so is the battery life of the phone, you can be using the phone with multiple APS open and it does not freeze or stutter, I would not look past buying one of these mid range phones even though I think it is a high end phone you are getting for the price,Kind Regards,Kenny.

I'm a great believer in choosing products that specifically suit my needs rather than obsessing about individual brands or specs that I will never need/fully utilise/care about whilst paying an extortionate amount of money for the privelege. This phone is perfect for me in every way. In fact, I'm quite bowled over by it. I work from home primarily and also consume a lot of media in my down time. This device is best for both worlds, its size being its crowning glory: ideal for the reading/editing and digital signing of documents (with the very kindly included M Pen!), and also tailor made for heavy media consumption, crisp, bright screen and the best sound I have ever heard from a smartphone with its Dolby Atmos supported stereo speakers.Watching YouTube reviews before pulling the trigger, the main criticisms were the lack of a 4K screen, its IP rating and the absence of wireless charging. None of these things would deter me from buying this device. Wireless charging, really who cares? Talk about first world problems! IP rating? I'm careful with my tech and this is splash resistant so that's good enough for me. As for the screen, stream some 4K video on YouTube and tell me you notice any difference from a 4K panel. In fact, its absence enables you to squeeze more juice out of that whopping 5000 mAh battery. So if none of these things are crucial for you, go for it.It's a pity that this phone is considered niche because of its size. Trust me, you adapt to it very quickly. I find myself picking up my old phone and wondering how I coped with something so dinky for the last two years. The Mate 30 and the Mate 30 Pro have just been announced but no 30x. I hope they don't drop the larger models because I'm definitely sold on devices this size going forward. So, in summary, if you're looking for a flagship device with a zingy screen, powerful speakers, stunning battery life and mint camera set-up but at a mid-range price, pick up this little beauty.

Have had the Mate 10 Pro for a couple of months and really like it. I am a very experienced smartphone user (just adding that as a lot of reviews for phones on Amazon are often by very clueless people) and have had numerous Android phones, and I upgraded from a Samsung S7 Edge.It has a nice 6" screen, but because of the small bezels it doesn't feel large in the hands or pocket at all. The cameras (colour and B&W) are really good, I am an experienced photographer with good cameras and lenses, and normally hate phone cameras, but this is the first phone I have owned where I will use it when out and about and not have to carry a camera with me all the time. The low light pictures are frankly amazing for a phone.Battery life is excellent, I can easily go a day on a charge, and it recharges to full in less than an hour using the supplied USB-C charger. It comes with minimal extra apps installed over standard Android. I can't speak much about the UI for the homescreen as I always use Nova Launcher, but the settings menus are well laid out and have a lot of useful features. Performance of the phone is very good, and the 6GB of RAM helps a lot.Phone comes with screen protector applied in the box, and also a transparent protection case.Downsides:This is the first USB-C device I have owned, and it has no headphone jack. It does have a USB-C to headphone jack dongle which does the job. It has a pair of earphones bundles in, but while the sound quality was pretty decent, they don't stay in my ears at all, they are very poorly shaped with no rubber cover to help them stay in. It has no MicroSD slot, but with 128GB of internal storage that isn't an issue for me.Overall it is a fantastic phone that performs like a flagship model but costs less than half the price. Is a real bargain IMO.

I have an iPhone XS Max 256Gb & love it. I needed a good second phone & almost went for an S9 Pro but missed out on a deal from another retailer when the same deal I was looking at was on HotUkDeals - just as I was buying it, I got a phone-call - by the time the call ended they’d sold out - I was annoyed then but am actually happy that happened now. I’m also getting £100 cash back for a Huawei deal that is ongoing as I type this. All around its a much better phone except for 2 things in my opinion: 1) The speakers are fairly good - stereo - but nowhere near as good as the iPhones and from what I read, the S9’s either, 2) Whilst its dual-SIM which is a plus - in lieu of the second SIm you can instead buy a NM memory card.So its not a MicroSD - it’s an NM and they’re not cheap. So there’s the 2 reasons. In contrast to those points, the speaker are more than adequate - built-in phone speakers (even the iPXsM) are never great anyway & on the memory card, well NM cards are technically much faster than MicroSD - so its understandable that they’re moe expensive - albeit, the main reason for their cost is probably because there are far fewer customers for the NM cards as they’re proprietary for Huawei. This next bit isn’t a number 3 (as the S9 doesn’t have this feature at all!) - but reverse changing (which for me will be occasionally useful) is exceptionally slow. So 5 mins charge from the Mate 20 Pro charging my iPXsMax = just 1%. So ok to get your phone going in an emergency but plan on at least an hour for perhaps 8-10%. Otherwise - it really is excellent, it is a gorgeous phone and so well made too. There we are happy to answer any Q’s :)

I've had Sony and Samsung phones historically, and then an iPhone 5 & 6 more recently. I have completely lost faith in the iPhone, as the battery life is appalling. I also found out after replacing the battery that the iPhone 6 was cobbled together from different phones and then sold as a factory sealed and unlocked unit.Anyway, the Huawei P10 Pro is everything I wanted in a phone. The major appeal being a keen photographer was having the dual Leica lenses, and boy do they rock! The screen is large, and is a joy to edit images in Lightroom on the fly.The finger print sensor is amazing. My old iPhone 6 sensor was sluggish and often I'd have to input my pin tomunlock it. The P10 Pro is instant. My finger barely has to brush the sensor and as if by magic, the screen unlocks. Having used the phone for a couple of weeks now, I'm finding it a joy to use. The interface is very intuitve, and isn't a million miles away from using iOS. The only difference to an iPhone is that I miss is imessage, but I can live without that. The battery life is superb. I charge in the evening once a day, and the battery sees me through until the next evening, even using a lot of demanding apps throughout the day. There's really nothing negative I can say about it. The rest of my family have seen it, and all want to make the jump from Apple to Huawei! A few friends have commented on the Chinese being party to my personal information, but as far as I can see, it's really no worse than the Americans or whoever having the same information via Apple or another brand.A great handset with loads of features and an amazing phone to boot!Love it!

I have been using the Huawei Mate 20 Lite for several weeks now and have been absolutely mesmerised by the look and feel of this phone. The 20 megapixel rear camera with AI technology has proven to be everything expected and promised by Huawei. Just to see the AI on the camera identify my cat or flowers, etc, shows the camera on the Mate 20 Lite is a cut above all competitors. The 6.3” displays images in beautiful, bright clarity. Whilst the outstanding camera is the main selling feature of this mid-range Huawei phone you can’t overlook the other features that makes this phone a rival for its major competitors. The battery on this phone deserves a mention. The super quick charge time, via usb type c,and the extended battery life means you can depend on this phone not needing a charge during a busy day. I have found I have only needed to fully charge every other day with normal daily smartphone use. The Mate 20 Lite offers excellent security features. The facial recognition ID is very responsive and identifies me nearly every time, even in very poor light. The rear finger scanner also offers additional security feature to the facial recognition ID. This phone actually comes with a headphone jack allowing the easy use of any style of headphones. One simple feature that I have found really helpful in learning to use the phone is the ‘tips’ app that was pre-installed on the phone. I have learnt a few new things about the abilities of the phone through the use of this app. Overall the phone is extremely impressive and will help make Huawei the true Android smartphone front runner.
