Hot wheels 2nd game on the PS2, Hot wheels higway 35 world raceis better than the first by a long shot. The first one had it but graphics and story lines made it not so good. But world race has got that good racing factor.If it had that little bit more it could be challenging the likes of Gran turisimo 4 & project gotham 2.The race play is really realistic, with your car taking knocks & bumps.And thedamage stay's there till you repair your car.Th storyline is quite good.when you start story mode you pick your team and car and then you race all round different places until at the end when you get to the end of highway 35.Their is also a joyride mode where you can go round collecting keys to unlock cars.

It is what it is. As long as you are not expecting an F1 simulator then you will not be disappointed. Great graphics that even now show off the PS2 capabilities and a wide variety of tracks and cars to keep you entertained for hours. A Challenge mode makes things interesting if you get bored of the standard racing game.I would recommend to anyone looking for a few hours entertainment and shop around as you will get it for a bargain price. There is still plenty of life left in the PS2 and games like this prove that.

i bought this game for my sons 5th birthday and he loves it and so do the grown ups!he's quickly learning how best to do the stunt jumps and loves collecting the rings to get the turbo boost. i was never into playstation etc games when i was younger so dont know a huge amount about them but i do know i love this game because my son loves it! lots of tracks/cars to unlock etc,Good fun

Got this for my six year old son. He loves playing it and says that it is quite a challenge.
