This was our second Hot Wheels set, though with hindsight this would have made a better ‘starter pack’ than the other one, as this one is a bit more of a classic intro to the idea of Hot Wheels. Ten feet of adaptable and standard track, and a box lid that makes the loop-making process nice and easy, is great for beginners like us. Already my kids have tried the loop stuff and started experimenting with building longer tracks as well- with just this set the “countless variations” aren’t really that countless- so I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before they start wanting to grow the collection into more and more ambitious arrangements. The fact the box lid doubles as part of the play is a greatidea on those occasions where it gets packed away- we saw the same thing on a Trackmaster track box set as well- and disassembling this set inbetween uses is fairly quick and easy as well, so even though it’s quite large and could easily take over a bedroom or living room, you can pack it away safe in the knowledge that if your child wants to play with it again tomorrow, it won’t take them long to put together again.Though strangely the product photos don’t show it, there *is* a car included in the box, so if this is your first or only set, you won’t need to get a vehicle separately. But of course if you’ve got more than one child, then being asked to get more vehicles is inevitable. On the picture on the side of the box, to my surprise it shows a lot of Lego pieces (or Lego-style pieces). On the box lid there are four square holes where are a good (but not tight) fit for standard 2x2 Lego bricks, so you can, if the ambition takes you, start integrating some Lego builds into your set-up. I haven’t yet thought of any grandiose over-the-top construction that would hybridise Lego and Hot Wheels in any really clever way, but I’m working on it… and I wonder if I can get the wooden track and the Trackmaster worked into it too…For the amount of plastic you get, it has to be said that it’s not a particularly outstanding value set, but as a beginner’s set and an introduction to the surprisingly broad (and not inexpensive) world of Hot Wheels, this is a pretty good and convenient place to start.

Well, like all small boys my grandson at 5 is into two things. Dinosaurs and cars. I also have a granddaughter - his twin - who has eschewed pink fluffy stuff and is just as mad for trucks, cars and dinosaurs as he is. I'm rather chuffed about that, if I'm honest. I'm no modern man at 51 - especially as an offshore contruction engineer who has worked in some of the worlds less wonderful places - but I really have an issue with girls toys being a bit rubbish. Why should a girl push a pram around or cuddle a useless doll? Boys have cool toys and honestly, I love the fact that my granddaughter who was given a dolly by her other grandparents looked at it like it was an alien to be dropped like a hot brick. No,she and her brother are comrades in arms with regard to toy cars and dinosaurs. And as such they have an epic amount of Hotwheels guff - mainly because I loved it when I was a small chap. When this came up for review I grabbed it to add to the collection and its a real hit. You can set up a loop and a jump - using the box as the support which I think is clever and then use a bit of skill to get the cars to work. This is a 'Good Thing.'The launch mechanism requires the child small or big - ahem - to hit the top plunger to shoot the car up the track. The thing is that too much and the car skids off but too little and well, its a fail to fly job. This means there's a bit of skill involved especially when trying to get the cars to hit the right spot.Honestly, me and The Bubs had a great time finding the best cars and fine tuning our launch technique. And when finished you can put it all back in the storage box to keep it neat and tidy. This is part of our ritual.51 going on 5. Seems good to me.

My wife hates Hotwheels simply because we’ve collected too much. She has a point. Our tracks and structures indeed tend to occupy the livingroom for days forcing all of us to take care not to break our necks by bananasliding on one of the many racing cars that lie around. However, the versatility, the affordability and modularity of the range cheapness makes it hard to resist the purchase of the occasional extension set.And so we also got ourselves this set that includes the ability to set up a mega-size looping and a powerful launcher. A single car is also included in the box so you can use this very well as an exciting starter set. That the set doubles as a storage box is a modest plus to our minds as we have enough Hotwheel track and parts to fill ten boxes. But what makes it interesting is that the lid and box can be integrated into your tracks, they have eight places to connect to track. Moreover the bin has two scoring compartments which adds a competitive element to the stunting. The only drawbacks are that i.) the cars rarely perform a double loop with the included push launcher, as suggested on the packaging (a gravity -driven long ramp from the table or kitchen top does the trick though)And ii.) as is common with many Hotwheel contraptions, it doesn’t take all cars, several are too wide and the higher bulkier ones never complete a loop - you better have some low nimble racers in your collection.Nevertheless the set is good fun at a decent price again. So recommended for starting, experienced and spoiled drivers alike.

There are two great features about this set. One is that racing cars is fun for any kid, particularly when you can send them racing around a multi-loop track, the other is that you can set up your own configurations and connect it with other tracks and features in other Hot Wheelsadd-on sets, so there's no danger of kids getting bored with it any time soon. Ok, three great features - it's not bad value for the price either. There's an educational side to this as well then, one that sparks imagination and creativity in a 6 - 10 year old. You don't even need to buy extra Hot Wheels sets, but you could incorporate the track with other toy sets or LEGO models. There are no limits here. Well, certain limits, since 10 feet of track is not a whole lot to play with at first, but it's a good starter kit and one that you can extend if you find it worthwhile. It's easy to set up and build - there's nothing complicated here. The set comes with a 'launcher' and one car. Extra cars are available but not all of them will fit the loop. The packaging is a good feature, acting as a good solid keep-tidy storage box as well as being something that you can incorporate into the kit. It's a good toy, but do be warned that it is just a starter kit, and will need other features to really make it as amazing as it looks in the pictures.

This fantastic Hot Wheels track set comes with 10 pieces of track, the necessary connectors and one well-made metal die cast Hotwheels car. It is part of the Track Builder System range with a recommended age of 6-12 years although I think slightly younger children will get enjoyment from it and it is pretty simple to put together. As a side note there is also the City range (3-8 years) and Action range (4-10 years) as alternatives within the Hotwheels products.Back to this particular set - when the track is laid out it measures a total of 10ft (3m) long with a 1ft (30cm) high loop-the-loop in its default layout. The track is very easy to set up in just a few minutes and has provided plenty of fun for my kids. What I especially like is how the storage box has two uses,in that it can cleverly form part of the track in a number of setups as well as providing secure and tidy storage container when the set is not in use (measuring approx. 35cm long x 20cm wide x 22cm deep). The track is expandable with additional parts that can be bought separately so your kids can use their imagination in trying out different track setups and layouts if they have additional track and items to use.Overall this is a great set for any children who like Hotwheels and comes recommended.

As well as being able to create your own loop and track set-up with this set it is also a brilliant add-on for other Hot Wheels sets and my Son has mainly used the track to expand his Hot Wheels city but we did try out the loop function before he used the track on other sets that he has.I love that not only can the track and pieces be stored away nicely in the box but that the lid and even the main box can be used to help make a track set-up.Included in the box is:-1 x Launcher1 x HW Car (ours was the same design as the one in the product photos)10 x Connectors1 x Grey Base for the Launcher2 x Blue Loop Connectors4 x Blue Tracks6 x Orange Tracks1 x Builder GuideThe Builders Guide is a nicetouch and it shows how to build 3 different tracks designs along with a short idea part of how your child could incorporate Lego, books, cups and even a bin into making different track features and designs. The sets are easy to make although if your child is in the younger end of the age range they will likely need a little help.A great set by itself but an even better add-on sets to expand other Hot Wheels sets and this would make a great starter set too.

3 year old absolutely loves it.Bought as a little gift to help relieve the boredom during this terrible time and the global lock down.My 3 year old lit up when he seen "Hotwheels City loops" and both Dad and lad had a great afternoon combining this along with some other Hotwheels tracks and playsets. At this price its also a bargain, the storage bucket lid doubles as a stand for several different types of loop or jumps as does the bucket itself and all the pieces and along with a dozen or so cars can be neatly stored away.Build quality seems good, the plastic track has a lot of flexibility and the storage box also seems solid, although with all the slots and notches built into it,it could be a weakness over time, but we will see.I'm also using it to teach the boy to assemble and disassemble the track and put it away after use so there's a bit of education to the toy as well. For the price paid (just over £20) its a bargain and a great addition to, or even aa a starter to Hotwheels playsets.

My sons own lots of Hot Wheels cars without actually owning any tracks for them, they just love collecting them so it was great to see them in action and trying out this loop play set with them. The track is easy to build and connects together well and you can use the box as part of it to enhance the experience. The box also doubles up as storage with plenty of room to add additional tracks if needed. The launcher is good but doesn't work well on bigger cars - the one provided and similar smaller cars works brilliantly and completes the looping OK. My sons aged between 6 and 10 have loved playing with this, they pieced it together themselves and like making their own versions of tracks too, with additional sets and tracks and loops it will definitely increase play time and keep them hooked for longer, i'll definitely be adding to this based on how much my kids are loving it. Recommended.

My 4 year old is into Hot Wheels like crazy at the moment so we have been building huge layouts across the lounge and right through into the kitchen. This ‘loopy loop’ as he calls it, is perfect for adding interest to a big layout, and the best bit is that it’s a double loop, that actually has several different set-up options, and it has plenty of vertical height, without using up too much floor space. There is a launcher unit, which you hit sharply, to propel the car along the straight, then round the loops. It’s easy to use, and very robust. Which is a good thing when a heavy handed 4 year old is using it.Some cars work better on the double loop than others. We found that the lighter, more streamlined racing style cars are better. The heavier, truck type cars tend to fall off the second loop due to their weight.5 stars

A nice addition to my son’s Hotwheels collection. Everything comes in a solid storage box, which makes it easy to transport the set and a few cars over to the grandparents on a Sunday afternoon. The storage box becomes part of the setup and there’s a launcher included to fire cars down the track – so you won’t need to attach a clamp to the back of a chair or table like we used to do in the old days. The instructions show you how to make three different set ups with the track and accessories supplied, but we’ve got loads of Hotwheels stuff and the boys were quickly borrowing bits from other sets and creating new and wonderful setups. One car is included but again we’ve got boxes full of cars. Some cars work better than others. We found that cars that are approx. 30mm wide (like the one supplied) run on the track best.

Large Track Builder for Hot Wheels Cars and a decent starter set. One car included and if you want to buy more then make sure they're compatible with this particular set. The track arrives in pieces packed inside a sturdy, plastic box. Assembly is fiddly but full instructions are included. Once up and running there's not a lot to do apart from shove the little car as hard as possible to get it to loop the loops. For more entertainment you certainly need one of the larger play sets as an add on. The whole construction is lightweight and a little wobbly but the overall quality is good. My grandson, 7 years, was soon bored because there are no light or sound effects and the track/car are manually operated rather than battery but; once we added a larger play set he was much more interested.

For the price, it is an excellent buy. Though, it's our boys birthday, so it was really appreciated when the seller got back to me, as I had started to panic in learning about the delay in delivery. They were amazing and very prompt in their answers with excellent customer service, in assuring us that it will be with us very soon.Regarding the product, the launcher is very fiddly, and will not always work. Luckily for us, we have another set of tracks which easily can be connected to this set and has a sturdy car launcher. Our boy was over the moon. The only car that came it was exactly the car he wanted, so he is very happy and is in bed holding it.So no complaints and a 4 and a half stars for the price

A terrific gift for any Hot Wheels fan. This set can be used by its self or added to one of the many other sets available to make a bigger track with multiple cars.In this set, there is 1 car, 4 pieces of blue track, 6 orange, 10 joiners, car ejector, 2 loop joiners and the box and lid are also used in the track. It was very easy to set up and take apart, there are instructions in the box, it offers several different ways of setting up the track so you get the most from the set. It’s very clever in that everything including the box and lid is used in the setup & track. My kids have spent hours trying to get the car to loop-da-loop and knock things down!

My 4year old loves it. I bought some cheap sets to start with for him which just have the hotwheels straight track and one with the bends but my son lost interest after playing a few times. The loop itself it so much fun, he plays with that one section over and over again. Don’t even need the other bits most of the time. But when we do add all the other tracks it’s even more fun. It’s also the easiest shooter for them as all they have to do is slam the lever.I thought it was a bit expensive at first but now watching how my son is playing with it I think it’s better value then the other cheaper sets.

Hot Wheels is always a big hit in our household. This set is a winner in the adult view as well as it comes with its own storage box so you don't have track all over the place or have to find a container for it.It is easily managed by all ages, younger ones with a bit of help and straight forward to connect together and build the track. You have a decent length of track to make multiple loops for your car to go through and make it more exciting. The kids were happy to spend hours playing with this making multiple versions of the layout and even the 'big kids' in the family were happily engrossed.
