The story is i always wanted an arcade stick since I was a kid, last year I finally got a chance as Street Fighter V came out on PC so I decide to buy the "best one", a madcatz TE2 edition stick, which costed me 380$ on amazon, the stick no longer functioning after a year, which really disappointed me consider the cost and its rather a "simple" product. My journey in street figher V continues so I decide to not buying anymore madcatz product, after some research I found out many pro players from Japan uses this excat stick, TBH the picture looks kind of cheap and almost stopped me from buying this product. Many of my favorite pro player include Sako, Alex Valle, Haitani,Kazunoko uses this stick lead to the ultimate decision for me buying this. I received the stick yesterday and tried immediately, this thing does not disappoint. Since I used the madcatz TE2 so much I can immediately feel the difference: the control knob on HORI V is more responsive and you can a subtle "click", the travel distance feels slightly longer. Buttons are more sensitive and less "clicky" than madcatz. It takes few minutes to get use to it, and I feel I cannot say which one is better - but both stick is designed for players to play at highest level.Build quality wise the actual stick looks a lot better than picture, actually better built and detailed than madcatz. For me price the difference between 200$ - 400$ isn't a factor I do expect this one to last longer. In short this is definitely is not a lesser stick than madcatz, potentially better depends on your preference. If you factor the price in then the choice is obvious. For me the only thing madcatz obviously stood out is the art, I only play SFV with arcade stick on PC it is obviously nice to have a stick with Street fighter art on it.. but given the poor quality control issue of madcatz (reputation is there, lots ppl had similar problem), I may stick with HORI in the future.

Sits nicely on your lap bigger than what I thought it would be. Watch videos for best techniques on using a stick. I let my mates loose on it and they just went into a stick smashing frenzy you do not need to do this and ultimately you won't get very far in games. So far stick and buttons have lasted a good few months of bashing no wear and tear showing.

Bought this as I wanted a bigger arcade stick compared to the Venom. The stock joysitck and buttons are good enough although I swapped them for Sanwa parts. Works great for fighting games and the classic platformers.

Very well made and has already lasted far longer than several X Box One controllers which simply don't hold up to fighting games such as Street Fighter 5 and Tekken 7.

This arcade stick is great. This is my first stick and it feels and looks strong and sturdy.
