Its a cheap build and thats the whole story... It had to be, to be low enough in Price but to still make a return the company can be bothered to go to market with....When no one else wants to risks going into the red with the investment in building a Single console unit supported device they need enough return on low selling units to be worth it... Companies learned this from the failures on PS3 extras that risk causing companies to be shut down as they never get the return the banks needed...PC only users do NOT need this item, they can get better more expensive builds.. Its for PS4 console owners who might play PC as well...Its not a DS4 remap clone its a 100% stand alone flight stick thatdoes not replace DS4 controller on every thing its an extra device...You can pair a DS4 and flight stick to the same PSN ID... every game must be coded for it...And you need Use DS4 too because USB devices can not wake PS4 from rest mode... so get up to turn the PS4 on or use a DS4 to wake it...No headset jack (its a cheapest build, the bear minimum chip set needed) you need USB headset... No rumble... (cheapest build again)It does look ugly when in the split mode...O and the warthunder offer expires this year 15/11/2017 (UK date) that how old this stock is...Got it for Elite dangerous not war thunder...Edit : After more usage text entry with controller on ED map search is just annoying so if you have A Keyboard available you may want to use that as an extra...Be aware if you buy under the Prime offer from Amazon.co.uk, the warehouse stock can be located in Amazon Germany not UK... they will not tell you that in the order... so expect Prime shipping not to be next day delivery... but later than that...

Reasonable joystick in all regards. Reasonable price and reasonable build quality - no complaints. But, it is designed for PS4 as well as PC, which is probably why you are interested (it was why I was interested). Specifically I bought this for use with Elite Dangerous on the PS4. Frontier confirmed they would be supporting this joystick, and it works perfectly. As soon as it is plugged in the Elite Dangerous recognises it and the controls are pre-mapped and tweaked, which is great. Everything is as you expect by default, there are plenty of buttons in the right place. Yaw is controlled by twisting the stick and side thruster movement by a paddle on the front of the throttle. The vertical thrusters are then on two small buttons on the throttle, these are probably the trickiest to find quickly. The control system works well, and is a vast improvement over a controller, especially in terms of immersion. One negative is that there are in total fewer buttons on the joystick compared to the controller, so bringing up some screens such as "contacts" requires pressing two buttons. It would be nice if a keyboard could be used alongside this stick to keep only core controls there, but Frontier have confirmed only typing - chat and planet searches etc. - is supported on keyboard.Overall it's a great joystick and makes Elite Dangerous a better and more immersive game.

As this is the only HOTAS for PS4 you really do not have a choice. However this is decent bit of kit for the money. Metal screws for future repairs, comes with its own Allen Key. Serious heft so stays on work surface. Elite Dangerous recognises it even with Dualshock in another USB port although you would have to tell the game which to use in that case. Upside is no unplugging for non-HOTAS games. I haven't found a headphone socket which is a pity. No Man's Sky does not yet recognise it after 1.38 update. Pity. I am not going to play War Thunder so freebies no advantage but this box is significantly cheaper then stand alone HOTAS.One downside is getting it all back in the box if you were testingit before giving it as a present. One big issue on ED websites was the shortness of the cable between Stick & Throttle. I cannot see why. I thought it was fine & I'm over 6' with proportional arms. But I wanted to have them either side of my laptop. No problem. Under the Throttle is loads of extra cable in a moulded channel. I haven't unravelled it all but it is way past my laptop requirement.Really if you want a HOTAS this is a goodie. Obviously I have a PS4 but PC & XBOX ones ore available.

I use the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas 4 to play Elite Dangerous on the PS4 and am pleased with it. I bought it for £59.99 at the Maplin Store in Ipswich in July 2017. Back then, it was on Amazon for about the same price, but here it is on Amazon today for £99.99 (and the one for Xbox One and PC is on here for £74.47). Maplin is currently in the process of closing down, so you might still bag one for less than this. (Incidentally, Maplin no longer has an online presence.)Why four stars and not five? The thruster part of the product has an internal notch at the halfway point, so you can feel it settle in the neutral position between forward and reverse. This notch meant it was necessary to apply a little force when accelerating or reversing from a stationary state, and that little force caused a jolt in the increase of speed when I needed it to increase slightly. To fix this, I dismantled the thruster, filed away the notch and assembled it again. The thruster now transitions smoothly.

Great size, nice feel to it (for the price) but setup is a pain.I mainly use a NI Traktor S4 mk2 controller but was looking for a cheap highly portable controller for traveling with. The standard mapping for Traktir with this device is hard to find (even on Hercules's own website) and I found that the mapping wasn't great - I will be doing a fair bit of tweaking to get this controller to do what I want. But that could well be down to my personal preference and DJing style. For the new SJ this could provide all you need to learn the basics, but of using Traktor be prepared to jump in the deep end with your own mapping...On the plus side, it feels extremely well made, and is very responsive.Hopefully once I've set the jog wheels to actually jog and the FX mode to be clearer I'll be a lot happier.Overhaul I'm happy with this device, for the money it is really, really good!

Nice solid feel to it but Warthunder will make you practice and fail, fail and practice before you feel how to use this thing effectively. Hope other games like Elite Dangerous will be less frustrating. After only 4 hours of play joystick seems to pull the cursor on the screen down even when untouched. This makes the planes in game constantly gaining altitude even if the joystick is not held. It is an obvious malfunction of one of the micro sticks. Asked for refund. Will buy again, perhaps unlucky with faulty model. UPDATE: I found a solution to the problem in forums : this joystick calibrated itself each time the console is powered on,it has to be standing on a flat surface otherwise it will correct and angle during self calibration and move cursor on the screen during game. I changed my 1 star to 5 stars now!

I brought this due to the increase of gigs I was doing and needed a proper mixer that would work well with Virtua DJ Pro 8.It comes in a box well packaged I guess, it works really well, I mean this device once configured works smoothly and plays tracks like a dream, for the price it is worthwhile. The only downfall is there is no headphone jack and this is a biggest sad point on this device, but I guess for the price it kinda makes sense but it is not a 5 star product for the way I want to use it.I have brought another Hercules product with the internal soundcard for a little higher price and it is worthwhile. The biggest advantage is the portability of this machine,it is great to pack away.It is also USB powered so no extra wires to drag around.

This product is a must have for fans of Flight Simulation games. The product is responsive, easy to set up and easy to use. Being a console player, I tried it out on Ace Combat 7, and it gave me the feeling of being in an actual fighter plane. The design is simple and yet very solid. With the product being designed how it was, it gave me two different ways to play. It's ideal for those people who want to have the throttle control on their left side and the stick on the other side. A solid buy.

The thrustmaster t flight 4 joystick is an excellent flight stick using for playing ace combat 7 on my PS4 pro and PlayStation vr it really makes a big difference to the game in virtual reality than using a normal controller making a more realistic experience as your fight stick movement is replicated in the game in vr on the ps4 vr and it also has a throttle control which can be fixed together with the flight stick on the left hand side. definitely would recommend to ps4 players ,excellent

I am using it with X-Plane 11 on Linux for a light aircraft, and find It has good joystick accuracy, and the buttons are positive. The limitation I find is that although you can separate the throttle from the joystick if you want them reversed, the throttle is still very 'handed'.TIP: if you are not using a PS4 and haven't got a Windows PC, to set the stick to be "NOT PS4" (which has less available configurable axes), hold down the 3 buttons on the base of the throttle whilst powering on.

This is awesome, completely transforms Elite: Dangerous. Can use the stick and throttle as a single unit together, or separate them by about a couple of feet. Some people complain the cable between the two parts is too short, but it's working perfectly fine for me across the arms of my chair. Has a twist function for yaw, and additional controls on the throttle for lateral thrust. Buttons and controls are well laid out, but is not designed for left hand use (not a problem for me).

I bought this purely to play the Ace Comat 7 VR mode but it has been such a joy to use I have now completed the main game and been coming first in multiplayer. Works well with Ultra Wings and Battle star Arena too. Sturdy and solid with a comfortable grip. Can be separated into thrust control and flight stick or locked together. Adjustable resistance but sadly no rumble feedback or headphone socket but you can plug into a regular controller for that. Great value for money.

I love this thing! Just got it and I'm loving it using it with Elite Dangerous and I do think it's a must have if you want to up your gaming experience with flying simulators. It's so comfortable and light on my lap and the buttons are all in the right places and it just feels really good to use. As I've said I'm using it with Elite Dangerous and it is literally plug and play as the game has an in built preset for the Hotas 4 which I'm very pleased with

The product is overall very good. I bought it on a discount at around 50% off and it is safe to say I am happy with the value I got however I would not of been at full price. There is just too few features and like the volume nobs are not what is usually standard so it can trick people if they move to a better controller. If it is on discount go for it because it is well made and fun but it is not on offer try get a better controller at a higher price.

15.5.2016

The product itself works really well and has a lot of functionality due to its mode button which lets the four pads control a lot more. The software that it comes with however, DJuiced is terrible. I would recommend using a different software such as traktor or virtual dj (Free). If you do invest in traktor you can get the mappings to make it work here - [...]I have not tried the mapping for virtual dj, but you can get them here - [...]
