I've been playing fighting games with arcade sticks for close to 12 years now. I've tried practically every part on the market and this is my first time using Hori stock parts and I am very impressed. In the past, Hori stock parts were not very good, in fact they were atrociously bad.I planned to upgrade this stick with sanwa parts upon receiving it, as I rate sanwa as the Holy grail of arcade parts and what I have always used/am most comfortable with. The Hayabusa has the same high quality microswitches as a sanwa but it feels more loose to play on due to the lesser tension. Some may like this and some may not but I definitely find it nicer to play on a sanwa jlf,but there is no denying the Hayabusa is still a quality lever. It's very close in feel albeit just a bit different so definitely a huge plus from me on quality/performance. As I said some may not like the leaser tension/restriction but it can't be denied that this is a responsive and high quality lever, I just much prefer the JLF microswitches and slightly higher tension.Onto the buttons: in the past hori buttons were abysmal. I've tried the kuro buttons that were a step up, but they still couldn't hold a candle to sanwa buttons. This stick has the new hayabusa buttons and again, I am very impressed with them. They have the same actuation force as sanwa buttons, and feel just as responsible and clean to play on. They also have a nicer clicly feedback is tactcile feedback is something you look for in a button (think of a mechanical keyboard switch). The only real difference I can see is that they have a matte finish and are much louder. I have now been converted to Hayabusa buttons from Sanwa which is really saying something, since I have been using sanwa parts for over a decade, and after trying every button on the market I have never since wanted to switch, until now. Very impressed! This version of the stick also has a new pcb compared to the old one which significantly reduces the input delay. Also, this stick is confirmed to be ps5 compatible out of the box, so that's a huge bonus!Overall I am very impressed with Hori's new line of parts. I've tried hori sticks before and their stock parts never impressed me, but now the hayabusa lever and buttons are extremely high quality. For the price, a current/next gen stick of this quality and performance is super impressive from Hori and I would highly recommend it.

Great, first fight stick, bought after much advisement and difficulty of accessibility in the UK. Played hundreds of hours of Tekken 7 using this now, not the slightest bit of wear on it, it looks almost perfect. I have seen complaints about the compartment on the back dropping off, I dont see how that is doable if you take care of your peripherals. The stick feels great, solid audible actuation, the bottons are quickly activated, and where initially they feel loose and cheap, after using for a few days they feel much better. The weight of the product is brilliant, I use it on my knee while say wherever, can sit there for hours without any discomfort, there are little pads where my knees naturally sit, which has the added benefit of the product not being cold when your sat around playing video games with no pants on.There are aspects to the product I am yet to explore such as the customization, I have yet to take mine apart, however may buy some different Sanwa buttons on the futurue to swap out. As far I am aware from Reddit, this product is easy to swap out parts for making it good for beginnersAfter hitting up a recent arcade and trying the various Tekken arcade machines on offer, the buttons feel less responsive on comparison to the Hori, and the stick on the Hori is much more satisfying to use. The only thing I would say to bare in mind when purchasing, if your playing on console, you may need to think of alternate ways to use a headset/mic to trash talk your friends as I do not believe there is a way to plugin to the arcade stick. I have also had the chance to use one of the mini fight sticks which is a go to easy option for somebody getting into fight sticks, don't do it, the shrunk space between nthe buttons and the stick make difficult actions like Electrics in Tekken due to your hands banging together and no stable center. This fight stick allows for bashing the fightstick and buttons to the extreme without any fear of damage, I wouldn't throw it admittedly.

Coming from a HRAP4 (the original version, not Kai) this is fantastic. The addition of Haybusa buttons rather than the Kuro’s of previous revisions is a big step up. I was never happy with the lack of resistance on button presses on the older model, but these provide good feedback with a thicker press, and solid feel and sound feedback. As always with a new stick, you have to loosen it a bit through use, and I did have a week or two where my directional jump presses came out as neutral, but that’s gone now after a bit of use.The compartment holding the cable does feel a little more flimsy than the last revision, but it’s still solid when connected, and probably would take a bit of force to remove or break. The addition of padding to the base, rather than corner legs are great for lap players as well as table users.I’ve certainly noticed lap play feels more “solid” with less movement of the stick on my lap during heated movements. The button placement being in the side is really helpful, not accidentally pressing the top row is very helpful- and the touch pad is at the back of the unit so it’s not easily presses without meaning too also.Overall, I’m very happy. Easily worth £100 and over. Build quality is good and buttons etc are better than the last revision.

Good stick especially for the price.Everything is fine except for 4 things.1. The spring for the stick isn't strong enough, if you hold a direction and let it spring back to neutral it will in fact push slightly in the opposite dirction to what you were holding before resting at neutral. Used a few sticks over the years and none had this issue. Having unwanted inputs in fighting games it never good. The spring is cheap and easy to replace with a stronger one, but opening the stick to replace it will void your warranty.2. Not much room at front of stick for palms to rest on. Is a slight corner slope and my bottom of palm tends to rest directly on the corner, would be better if my hand could rest on the slope or on the flat top.Not comfortable after a while playing. Guess this issue depends on hand size, my hands are average size.3. The cable holder door is flimsy and easily comes off. Not much more to say about this.4. Cannot use a mic, or rather, cannot plug one into the stick. Will need use a wired usb or wireless mic while using the stick, or have another PS4 controller near you (some games make you sign in as another user if doing this which is annoying).

I needed a stick that could work on PS3 and PS4 and this fit the bill very nicely. I use a madcatz TE as well and this stick compares very well to madcatzs own offerings. The stick and buttons feel responsive and while I prefer the parts used in the madcatz TE at no point did I feel like the hori parts were inadequate and that I wanted to change anything. You can tell the stick is well designed. The cable compartment is spacious and the door seems sturdy. It's easy to carry around and feels just heavy and sturdy enough that its comfortable playing with it on your legs. I bought it at full price and I don't regret the purchase so the fact you can get it for sub £100 (at time of writing)it is definitely worthwhile getting this stick if you need something to work on your PS3/4 or you want to get your first arcade stick.+ Sturdy build+ Well thought out design (carry handle/cable compartment/button placement)+ Good quality parts+ The price+ Works for PS3, PS4 and PC- Plain black design- Lacks the easy open design of the newer Madcatz sticks and seems harder to customize if you into that sort of thing.

Great Arcade Stick for the PC. Works flawlessly with the PC. The pictures don't do it justice, also there is an additional switch for the PC that isn't shown on the images here. Loses one star as it's not quite as solid as I thought it would be. Now don't get me wrong this joystick is pro grade but I thought it weightier than it is. But it is made out of plastic. I think a better price would be £80 then it would definitely be 5 stars.I also found it extremely simple to adjust from a pad. Tooke me about 2 hours and I can pull off all kinds of combos and special moves I never could with a pad. Also fighting games are so much more fun with a fight stick. If you are serious about fighting games/mame or intend to play them for the forseeable future then this is 100% recommended.I can't comment about the parts not being better or wose than sanwa as I have never used real sanwa parts but the hori switches should be more than adequate for 99.9% of people.

Been wanting to get a Fight stick for some time now. The dilema being I didnt fancy paying £250 + for a mad catz TE that's only compatible with a ps3 as I now own a ps4 and USF4 seems to be the only game left on the old console which hasn't yet been ported over or had a next gen sequal (ps4 usf4 isn't coming out till spring and sf5 till the year after I beleive). This stick is the solution. Not only is it significantly cheaper, but quality wise literally just as good as it's pricier mad catz counterpart (Lets face it you're paying an extra £150 for a picture of ryu and the words "street fighter" printed your fight stick). Highly recommended. Both stick and buttons are ultra (see what I did there :-)) responsive. You'll be pulling off combos left right and centre with this.

I picked this stick up when it was £85, and just as it was coming back into stock the price shot up to £135. Great steal for the price I paid, the build quality is fantastic and the hardware is a real pleasure to use. I'd maybe prefer if the stick had just a slightly smaller neutral zone but that's probably because I'm still getting used to it after converting from a pad. I'd probably pay 135 for this if I had to, though at that price the Madcatz option would start to look more tempting.Works flawlessly on PC for everything I've thrown at it so far - MKX, SFIV, DOA5LR, Skullgirls, and most importantly Duck Game (I'm loving the ability to double tap my Dedicated Quack Button).Only downside is it took bloody ages to arrive (around a month), but it was worth the wait.

Its Hayabusa stick is fantastic. The buttons slightly less so, only because they CAN squeak a little if you push them a certain way. The cable door can easily come off if you use unnecessary force. Aside from that, build quality seems great, feels great. Works for me on Windows 8.1 without any hassle. No fuss with having to find drivers or anything. If you are a Sanwa enthusiast the buttons may be a minor downside, if you want custom art on the stick are other arcade sticks that make that easier, and if you want a stick that is easy to open up without voiding the warranty there are arcade sticks for that too. However, they probably don't use a Hayabusa stick, and they probably aren't this cool.(Well, then they are twice as expensive.)

Great joystick. Took a couple of hours only to bed in (or me to get used to the throw, since change from seimitsu). If you get the hyabusa buttons not kuro bonus! but in all honesty I would be happy with either.Would say this joystick is a good size with plenty of room for your wrists with out being too heavy of oversized.Pads on the bottom create a good 'stick' to any surface. Including your lap (as I play).Felt about slappy at first but bedded in quickly, but would say the buttons are noisy still. However they are smooth and very responsive. The noise might be be more to do with the box size and accoustics.Joystick is very smooth, responsive and quick to return to neutral. Good quality.Very happy

Fantastic stick after returning the Hori mini 3. This is a much better fit for my hands and lap. The matte Hayabusa buttons feel so much more responsive than the glossy kuro ones on the mini. Of course, this is about 3x the price of the mini, so it is obviously a major step up. I just finished Streets of Rage 1-4 using it, whereas before I kept shuffling the mini in my lap and getting hand cramps. If you are unsure about size and have fairly large hands, I highly recommend splurging a bit for the Kai or comparable sticks. I am tempted to mod it with some Sanwa buttons someday, but I am hesitant to take apart such a well-made bit of kit.

It has a Touch pad fully functional same as the pad you'll find on your ps4 controller, hayabusa stick and kuro buttons made by hori you can replace with sanwas if you like ( they work similar ) , it's has all buttons you'll find on a ps4 controller on the side including the home button and r3 and l3 and turbo settings, it has plexiglass as the main surface so no problems being scratch resistant, it has 1.5meter wires and compartment and great value compared to TE2 . As for the durability of the buttons I cannot say you'll have to wait 12 months when I update the review.Better than my last stick which was a Madcatz SFxT VS edition.

The Hayabusa lever and Kuro buttons that this stick come with are the same parts used in the Japanese Vewlix arcade cabinets. The Hayabusa lever feels gorgeous. Many fighting game fans say that it is the new standard for fighting game levers. I can't argue with that.I'm not a big fan of the Kuro buttons. They tend to squeak when pushed. But it's easy to replace the buttons with your favourites. I replaced them with Sanwa buttons.Other than that, the stick is very well built and sturdy. There are pads on the underside to rest on your legs, which is nice.Overall, a great stick with a nice price for the UK.

PS4 Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai: Absolutely fantastic value for the price, it works with MAME on Windows beautifully. It's nicely laid out, and very, very easy to mod. I changed the joystick and buttons for Sanwa branded ones, and it was simple; 30 min max to do this job, with it just requiring you to pull plugs out of the existing components, replace the components with your new ones and push the plugs back into them. But even the standard joystick and buttons it comes with are good enough. Brilliant product.

Bought this arcade stick as a birthday present for my partner and he loves it. Nice, good quality finish and just the right size. It has some room to place your hands on it whilst playing. We found it easier to play with the stick than a controller and it works on a PC and both PS3 and PS4. It is possible to change the stick and buttons to different ones so that’s definitely a big plus as well. Great purchase. Really pleased with it and would recommend for anyone who’s a retro game fan.
