Managed to secure one these from a friend who handles Asia imports etc.The controller is very comfortable to hold – it's very similar to the Classic Controller Pro that came out around the same time as Monster Hunter in America. The buttons are large and easy to use. The d-pad has a nice sunken feel to it which makes it very useful for quick dashes in Pokkén Tournament.The L and R trigger buttons, which get a fair workout in Pokkén, are large, easy to press and give a satisfying clunk sound when pressed. These buttons are used a lot in Pokken, so it's reassuring thay they appear to be sturdy.The USB cable is pretty long. Approx 2m long, so it's suitable for larger living rooms.However,it's not all good. There's no Circle Pad or Home button. Yikes. You have to use a GamePad or a seperate controller to quit out of Pokkén when you're done playing.The ZL and ZR buttons, as-well as the Start and Select buttons, are all next to each other in a row along the front.It's a shame that it only works with pokken, and not the virtual console games on the SNES, NES, GBA etc platforms. Would be ideal for that I would've thought. Hopefully the homebrew/hack scene will sort that soon-ish.Chances are if you're buying this controller, you have a very specific reason for doing so – you're either taking Pokkén Tournament very seriously, or Pokkén is why you bought the system. In my opinion, this controller is perfect for that and should aid you well. You won't be disappointed, shortcomings aside.Pros+ Good button layout and comfort+ Long cord but no noticeable lag+ virtually identical to the arcade controller, z buttons aside.Cons-Doesn't work with anything but Pokkén, but then, it's not really supposed to.-Missing major system functions.Apart from anything else, it's made by Hori. Who are renowned for making some of the best 3rd part peripherals out there.If you're a pokken tournament fan, buy this. You won't regret it.

I got this from another retailer for a very relatively cheap price so how could I refuse such a deal! I've been using it for retro gaming on PC and it is wonderful, connect the USB to the computer, configure the controller's input and play with it!In terms of design, it's pretty bland but aside that, the controller's super comfortable to hold for long gaming sessions. All buttons and its D-PAD are very high quality, something in fact you'd expect from a Nintendo controller. However, the sad part is that the red-bit at the bottom was supposed to have red leds to make it look cool but Hori ditched that (possibly because the Wii U would require two USB ports since one USB is not strong enough -- GameCube adapter requires 2 USB ports,1 for the main controller functions and 2, for the rumble feature).An odd thing about the controller is that the ZL and ZR are mere buttons rather than being shoulder button at the tops where the digital triggers are.So anyway, it's an excellent controller all in all.

The gamepad looks amazing, the button have a good feel to them and it feels comfortable in the hand. It's disappointing that it only works with Pokken tournament on the Wii U, but it excels as a USB gamepad for the PC. I use it exclusively on my PC, it's amazing for SNES/NES emulators and Undertale. I highly recommend for these reasons alone.

For what it is this controller works perfectly with pokken tournament, but it only works with that game, so don't expect to use it in competitive super smash competitions with your friends, and luckily for this product, that is the only complaint I have about it.

Absolutely spot on for playing Pokken with. It makes the game much more comfortable to play than with the game pad.Absolutely zero use for anything else.Maybe Nintendo will just give us a normal controller to begin with when they finally launch the NX?!

If you're looking for the full arcade experience then this is it, I've seen people complain that it only works for pokken but for the price I don't see the issue and as an added bonus it does work with a pc so it's an excellent emulator pad too

Strangely enough I haven't yet used this for Pokken tournament, but I found that it'd compatible with retropie and it's serving as a controller for my emulators! Brilliant controller, happy to know I can use it outside of wii u

Really good controller for Pokkén. But that's all you can use it with, you can not use it to play mario kart or any other Wii u game, so bare in mind you will only be able to use it for one game and one game only

Decent pad and 19.99 is quite cheap i think. My only problem is the plastic makes your hands stink. I don't understand why or if it will ever lose it's odour but it's really annoying

Extremely comfortable pad. I be got fairly big hands, so I've no idea how well it fits small hands. Ended up hacking it for ps4 and love it.
