I was a little concerned since the box it came in had a whacking great hole in it, but fortunately the contents were fine, whatever or however the box had been pierced, hadn't gone deep enough to affect anything inside. Not that I think any damage would have been anything other than cosmetic, this thing is a TANK.I'm going to start with how GOOD this thing looks, like MUCH nicer in the flesh than any of the photos convey. The red has a metallic look with a very deep shine, and the plastic, whilst looking grey in the pictures is very definitely black. It's also MASSIVE, and it weighs a lot too. This isn't a few arcade parts stuffed in a plastic box, this is a few arcade parts stuffed in a repurposed tank and then adorned with some plastic. If you flip it over it's metal, and judging by the zero flex on the top panel where the stick and buttons are, I'd say that's all metal too.The stick is easy to move, you can get your SFV moves off very fluidly with some practice. The biggest hurdle to overcome is the buttons. If you're used to a pad and how close the buttons are, getting the muscle memory to hit the right buttons when they're so massive definitely takes time, and whilst the stick takes practice, you'll find your accuracy, after initially being zero, improves far quicker than your idiot right hand's button smashing abilities.Another thing to note, is the very short travel on the buttons, and more important, the sensitivity. Do not rest your fingers on them, the slightest depression will have them activate. This does mean that you don't need to slam them and can actually operate it fairly quietly, or at least as quietly as anything with 80s style microswitches can be operated.I love the angled front, this makes it so good for your palms if you're using it on your lap, though I don't use it on mine for a super long time, it's SO heavy. I tend to sit on my bed and angle it toward my monitor and sit cross legged behind it. The cable is plenty long enough for me, and stows away neatly in the provided stash space, and the whole unit super easy to clean.I'm super pleased with it. I 100% suck with it, but I have a lot of fun nonetheless. It's nothing to do with the stick, I just need to put the time in to get used to it more, having used it only an hour or two so far. I wish I had more time to mess with it.Looks great, feels great.

The Nintendo Switch is quickly becoming the home of fighting games with the onslaught of NeoGeo Games and Ultra Street Fighter II. Soon to be released Pokken Tournament DX is on its way too. These games demand a good arcade fightstick. This is hands down the best arcade fightstick that you can buy, especially for the Nintendo Switch. It has a premium feel and quality and is a must have for any dedicated fighting game fan. The design is streamlined and the deep crimson red has a certain royalty to it.The HAYABUSA stick is looser than the Sawna for a reason - it extremely fluid once you get used to it and the buttons are more responsive too. The gate is 4-way (square),which is traditional Japanese Arcade Tournament style. You can swap out the Haybusa Stick and buttons for the Sawna variety by unscrewing the base. The connectors are clips so there's no soldering necessary. I would recommend watching some YouTube tutorials before attempting this and note it VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY!!The base of the HAYABUSA stick has less friction than other sticks, so it's more durable in the long run, while the weight of the stick is nice and heavy with pads underneath to comfort your lap. This stick won't slip. There are buttons on the side including L3 + R3 stick buttons, home and capture. The USB cable is long and tucks away inside the stick chassis. You can use a USB to USB-C converter for tabletop mode on the Switch.NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE DIP SWITCH ON DP (digital pad) or LS (left stick) for directional controls to work. This is the only stick you need and it has a beautiful reflective finish. It's also compatible with PC too - just hit a switch on the side. There's Turbo mode too, as well as the ability to reassign buttons.Join the pros and buy it now before it's gone. This is a treat worth investing in.

Initial review was 2 stars and now I'd like to amend to 5 stars. The first one had usb cable issues which they have now addressed, so one year on Nov 2018 I thought I'd give it another go seeing as the cable issue has been resolved ( just a small batch didn't have the cable clip in place so free to move about causing loose connections ). All good now and essential for shumps and fighters and the retro stuff out now on the switch also good on Donkey Kong and Mario Kart and most not needing the right thumb stick.Only thing that needs changing imo is the buttons to sanwa and adding a octogate to the stick and a 2lb spring and you've got a excellent piece of kit, these aren't needed if your just a casual player but if you want that bit extra from it then it's a good investment.Did the upgrades today and now it's a excellent professional stickNew sanwa silent buttons, octagonal gate on the stick plus a 4lb spring and finished off with a new mesh ball top took an hour and all push fit and the odd screw or two....Jobs a good one !

Can't comment on how this is compared to other home arcade sticks cause it's the first I've owned, but, wow, I love this so much!I use it mainly to play shmups and it's just fantastic. Really changed the experience for me and I play them now more than ever. It's big and solid with a good amount of space to rest your hand. Buttons are super responsive and it has an array of extra buttons down the side mapped to functions like home or screenshot etc.Cable's a good length and stores away easily in a little compartment in the back and the whole thing feels sturdy and solidly made.Even though this is my first home arcade stick, I have played quite a lot in actual arcades in Japan and this feels really good to me.At over £100, I was apprehensive about whether it would feel worth the money, but it absolutely is. Especially when you consider the price of regular controllers these days.Highly recommended!

Brilliant - a great addition to the Switch. Ignore the 8bit do one, like others said, this is worth 5 x the money of that. We're truly lucky to get something like this in the UK so make sure you buy one and support HORI for doing so. The last good arcade stick maker for consoles. I'm playing the POKKEN demo and it works WONDERFULLY with this! As with all the NEO GEO library on the switch and SF2 - really changes the experience. If you want to get SUPER COOL, play this in the cardboard arcade stand that is available on amazon for £15 and with a USB adaptor you can plug this into the bottom of the switch when in docked mode and there you have it, a mobile arcade machine with neo geo games and new games like POKKEN!AMAZING!! 5/5 must buy!

If anyone who is struggling with the god awful Pro controllers D-Pad is reading this, then know one thing; your skill level is about to shoot up if you buy this stick! The quality and accuracy is incredible, and after struggling for 3 weeks playing Ultra Street 2, and hovering around 1200PP, In 1 evening I've shot up to 2600! You do not miss moves with this thing, and you can easily use it just on your lap. I'm so glad I bought it.

Well, what can I say about this thing! Its pretty much what it says on the box, a pro level arcade fight/gaming stick setup that allows you to literally enjoy the good old Arcade days once again. be it Space Invaders or Double Dragon, you'll be back there after all those years immediately :)Im 44 and was transported back to 1986 with a whole host of classics on my Switch console :)A must buy for any Arcade gamer!!

Great sturdy fight-sick which I have been using both on my Nintendo Switch and PC for fighting games. The buttons are responsive and the stick feels great and has a nice click to it which is very satisfying and responsive. Easy to set up just plug in and go. I would recommend this to anyone thinking of getting one for their Switch and or PC.

Great arcade stick. I own a few different sticks, qanba, madcatz...and this is very good. I prefer the sanwa buttons but the hayabusa ones feel good too. Connects via a 10ft wired connection. Theres not a lot of games that use it at the moment but should prove to be a vital purchase in time. I'm happy

The box itself is great but I ended up swapping out the components for sanwa joystick and buttons. The Joystick which comes with it is very loose and the buttons don’t have a great feel. I was aware of this before the purchase so all in all, I knew what I was getting and it works well!!

You get what you pay for. Very high quality stick. I hope to use it with plenty of games and because it works on Pc I should have no trouble getting use out of it in time aswell as the Switch. I did a review of it on my Super 8-Bit Ben Youtube Channel.

Bought this as a gift for my collector husbands 40th birthday gift, not been played as he wanted as part of his collection

Expensive but nice bit of kit. If you like all those retro games in the eshop then I'd strongly recommend this.

26.9.2019

I bought this for my Switch but found out it works with my old MACBOOK so I play retro games, PS3 and PC

it’s the clicks that make me happy playing Dragon Ball.
