I bought this backpack since my only one was starting to fall apart. It is a little big if you don't plan to put a lot of things in but I love it since it carries all my books really well. I've had this backpack since the middle of March and it has endured quite lot.I find the very small pocket before the large one very useful as I could put my phone and keys in there and not have to worry about looking for it in the other pockets. I do wish this had a pocket to carry a water bottle at the side, but it's not a problem putting it in the bag.The pencil pocket is big enough to carry my pencil case so it won't have to be taking up room in the large pocket.I will be taking this backpack when I go

After 5 years of having this backpack, it is still in such good condition although there are a few things that I dislike but nothing too major!But first, I'll mention that this backpack can fit so many things and has a place for your laptop which is a great pro to protect my MacBook. I like the other compartments that make it very organized as well such as for my pens and pencils and extra stuff that I would keep in it.Some of the cons: Honestly, the straps are padded however, there's a mesh pattern that tends to dig into my skin which is kind of uncomfortable for me...But that's quite okay, again, nothing that is too major. And personally, I wish it had the side pockets so I could hold my water bottle because that is always useful!

I bought this backpack as a gift for my boyfriend after seeing a Herschel backpack on someone in the airport. Was very excited to find it on Amazon, with Prime shipping, for significantly less than other retailers. I really like the woodland camo print (something different), and so did he! It's not huge, but I think it meets his day to day needs. For this reason, I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars. Overall, sturdy in construction and attractive. It even has some cool features like the laptop sleeve and sunglasses storage pouch.

I use this everyday. It’s my work backpack. I have a 15” laptop in it and it fits. It’s a thinkpad it’s thick and durable and it still fits. Comfortable and looks great. And durable. I’ve spilled hot coffee on this and I sling it over my shoulder roughly sometimes. I’ve crammed too much crap into it and loaded it with tools. I packed in it once for an emergency trip out of state and it tends to spend it’s time in dust filled construction sites so I’d say it’s pretty dam durable. I love it def worth the money.

This backpack was everything I was looking for. It is very sturdy and is able to hold my 13' laptop, several notebooks, and a textbook or two (though I don't consistently use it for that much very often). I love the soft-lined laptop sleeve and sunglasses holder, and the two pockets in the front are perfect for holding a calculator and a whole bunch of pens and pencils. I got it in a burgundy damask color and have used it for about 6 months now and the color has not shown any dirt or stains on it.

This bag has held up very well over the 6 or so months I've owned it. The inside of the bag is very high quality. There is a pocket flap where you can fit a laptop, probably up to a 13 inch. The small pocket in the front is pretty big and has another pocket in the back. The straps are comfortable. Even with a laptop and a few books the bag is comfortable to wear. I love how compact the bag seems but can fit more than I need. I have used it for college and short trips. Will definitely recommend

I love Herschel backpacks! I've never used better ones so far. I had to toss my other Herschel backpack-- the one with the waterproof cap and draw strings, because the strings are getting really worn and ugly within a few years of use. But since everything else lasted really well on that bag, I bought this one.I really love the lined section for Macbooks or iPads. It kept me from scratching my electronics. I also love the compartments-- I love everything about this bag.

A classic style on a bag that is built to last.The bag definitely has a steep price tag for someone like a college student, such as myself. But, I can tell after about a month of ownership that this bag is ready for the long haul every piece of the bag is sturdy and feels amazingly tough. The zippers are quality as well as every pocket. There is a small, cushiony pocket made for a phone or sunglasses, and it does its job superbly. Everything about this bad is fantastic.

Bought for my 14 yr old nephew who is incredibly pleased with it.Quality of the bag seems really good with strong stitching around the tops of the shoulder straps.Lots of nice detailing inside including a pocket for an iPod/iPhone etc with a rubber grommeted whole in the top to pass the earphone cable through.Plenty of padding for a laptop with soft material to prevent scratching.All in all a quality product well thought out for storing and carrying things.

This backpack looks and feels great! It’s a stylish, semi-professional style and has enough room for everything I need (laptop, files, power cords, my lunch, etc). My only complaint is the zippers— it is very hard to zip and unzip all of the zippers. There is a thick flap of material that covers the zipper and zipper line and in order to unzip you have to fold this completely back. Not a huge deal, but kind of annoying.

I use this bag for college. It has a pocket specifically for my computer that is fleece lined to keep it safe. It also has a fleece lined pocket for my sunglasses that I really like. The color is exactly what I wanted and the overall quality is great. I wish they had lifetime warranties since the bag is pretty expensive but it seems like it's going to hold up so I'm not too worried about it. Great bag and great brand!

i LOVE this backpack. after ..many.. years of college I finally bought myself a nice, well deserved back pack. I was irked to spend 45+ on a backpack, but I read reviews on this and even saw it from urban outfitters for 69+$!! So I bought this one, and it arrived in perfect condition, minty fresh. Good quality, love that it has a padded laptop pocket AND the pocket for my glasses is awesome.

I wanted to wait a while to write a review...I have used this bag for two semesters and it is holding up well. The only downside is a dirty bottom from setting it down on the floor in class. It holds EVERYTHING. I am a PhD candidate and carry a lot of books, a laptop, and notebooks and I still have room to cram more in there. I love this bag and highly recommend it for any student.

I wish the padded laptop section was removable, because I usually don't travel with a laptop anymore, and I bet a lot of people don't now (with tablets and blue tooth keyboards). Also the fabric zippers are VERY stiff, but I suppose that will work itself out with time. Very cute though, and the front pouch has some good little pockets for organizing stuff. Overall I'm satisfied.

Not only the quality of this bag is amazing, but is very resistent.I use it to transport my Macbook Pro of 13'', my nintendo 3DS and some books times to times when i go work outside my home. Even if i wanted to take my laptop of 15'', i will not have any problems.The exterior looks amazing, but inside is very premium too. I totally recomend it, especially this color! :D
