Having two Bengals indoors for the last 9 years we need a LOT of cat grass. Over the years I've tried all different kinds but I now regularly rebuy this one in bulk as it's the best one I've found. I love the fact that the review tool here asks me to give stars for "flavour". It's not something I can really comment on but the cats seem happy! Now this stuff is "odd" in that there is a kind of "jelly" in with the hydroponic mix and seeds. You fill the container right up to the top and this jelly kind of expands and holds all the water for weeks while the grass grows (comes up in 5-7 days is fully grown and available after about 2 weeks). The great thing is that unlike many that wilt after a few days this keeps the grass fresh and vibrant for weeks and then you can just re-water it.The grass remains "active" for a few weeks then it's time to start the next one (but obviously you actually "stagger" this so there's always one fully grown and fresh).

Really good. The package of the seeds was sealed in the container it grows in with the instructions on the top so all very handy for no spillage. You take the lid off, fill with lukewarm water and leave on the windowsill. The beads absorb the water and the grass grows. You don’t have to do anything else! It’s brilliant. Some of the others I’ve tried before are a bit fiddly, you have to mix the seeds in and what not, but this one is brilliant as it’s already done. You literally just put the water in and away you go. I’ve given a 5 star for the flavour but I didn’t eat it myself!! The cat seems to be very happy with it so I’ve given it 5 stars on her behalf!Decent sized container so plenty of grass and you can stand it on the lid for extra security. I ordered three packs for under £8 which is an absolute bargain for a much better product than I used to get from the pet store. All in all, will definitely recommend, very happy with it.

I must say that we are so impressed with this Hydro-Grass and so are our two British Shorthair kittens. After much research, I thought that the price is excellent value for money and ordered four trays. The growing process could not have been easier-in fact I did take several photos of the stages, but thought that was a bit much to post! As promised, after about 7 days the grass had grown to a lush patch and it was fun to check in and watch how it grew. We decided to grow two trays at intervals in the first instance and this worked well; however, my husband decided to try smaller pots using recycled candle containers because of the abundance of the grass. A definate plus! This is working well and it was easy to transfer and watch them grow. All of our indoor plants are cat friendly-but, we felt that it was important to find a suitable grass for indoors and our two are pleased we did. We highly recommend GimCat.

I bought this because my cat kept eating my pink kisses flowers and essentially killing them :( usually I will take her outside on a leash to eat grass but on busier days I don’t have the time so she snacks on my sisters lettuce plant and my flowers so I finally bought this to satisfy her unstoppable urge to eat plants. This was really fun to grow- I think I enjoy it more than my cat does because it looks quite nice on my window sill! Watching it grow was amazing as it seemed to grow by the second! I would wake up to a lot more length every morning which was interesting to watch. I grew mine in an old m&s wooden wine box as I didn’t like the plastic container given and it grew just fine :)My cat will eat this grass, but the strange thing is that I need to break off the grass and place it in front of her for her to eat it. Maybe she’s just lazy!

The grass grew quickly, nice and thick, looked a bit like normal grass on steroids by the end but there was one issue..basically I don't think it tasted too good..I have a fussy cat anyway but she does love a little bit of outside grass but after keeping her as an indoor cat we decided to get one of these..She ended up eating 1 strand a day..this caused the grass to grow to the length of my hair..that isn't a good thing simply because my hair is so long it leaves a clean trail on the floor behind me..(maybe slight over exaggeration but it's long).Overall, the grass was great at doing it's job, grew nicely and was thick but unfortunately,my cat wasn't good at doing her job by eating it and showing me it's a good product..because of this I have to knock a star off..nothing personal to the grass..

My cats weren't too bothered about this but they did chew on it every now and then and it was cheap and kinda fun to watch it grow so it's fine. If you add the amount of water it tells you to chances are it will overflow, just add a small amount of water at a time and give it a few minutes to expand and keep doing so until it has reached maximum capacity and then hopefully it won't overflow. It says you only need to water it once but top it up with a little bit of water every few days to stop it drying out. For the first few days it will probably look like it isn't doing anything but within ten days, probably less you will see little shoots and then after that it will probably grow about 3-6 centimetres a day.,Once it starts growing it grows really fast!

This makes growing cat grass so easy. No more buying seeds and messing around finding something to put soil and seeds into.. this is perfect. One of our indoor cats isn't into cat grass at all, but our other indoor cat loves the stuff. He gives this cat grass a paws up! He gets super excited when you bring it down off the window sill for him to munch on. He loves it.Fast growing and so easy to prepare. The only teeny tiny downside would be that as it grows the stuff that it grows in tends to get pushed out a bit around the tray. It's not too bad, but its worth noting. It won't stop us from buying it though.Have now bought 5 of these for him and hope I can continue to buy them for a while,as he will be a sad boy if he can't munch on it any more.

Grew slower than packet suggested for us, but we live in a cold Edinburgh flat so not really surprised or upset by this.Agree with other reviewers about excess gel, but once it has a chance to get nice and full this is less of an issue. My kitty prefers to uproot the grass and play with the roots/seed even if the grass is fully grown - not so much nibbling on the ends! He picks at it a couple times a day.Overall happy with it - he seems to enjoy it every now and then and it's nice to have the peace of mind that it's safe and even beneficial for him to do so!

Think I love this more than my cat lol. He has allergies and over grooms a lot, so is constantly chewing on grass outside to help him digest or upchuck. Thought this might give him an easy access supply in the house but doesn't want to know ?‍♀️Pity, as it's really easy to grow and looks OK even if it is just grass in a tub! Might put it outside and see if that makes him take a nibble . ?The review asked for a rating on the flavour but things haven't got that bad yet that I have to start eating a portable lawn so I'll skip by that one?☘

The grass survived so surprising well! I actually accidentally messed it up at the first stage as I was trying to plant it somewhere else (turned out as a failure). I didn’t have much hope about it, pretty much expecting it to never grow. A week or two later I found some grass in my cat’s puke and came to realisation the grass was more than ready to eat!The base was deep enough to give its stability so my cat can’t easily flip it over like he had done before.Very beautiful results! 5/5 given the affordable price, especially!

Easy instructions. Took about 5 days to grow... after about a week or so it started drying out...My kittens didn’t like eating the grass at the start when it was fresh. All they would do is pluck it out and leave a mess for me to clean. When it started drying they began nibbling on it, and also plucking it out.One of mine also enjoyed nibbling on the ‘soil replacement’... not sure if it’s actually safe for them to eat or not?!It definitely kept the cats busy will definitely consider buying again in the future.

The cats weren't sure with the first one I got. But near the end of its life we started noticing them chewing it more and more. The second one oi bought. Well it looks like a goat has taken a bite. Both of them love the cat grass. It grows well and fast even with the little light you get in the north of England in November. It's great for indoor cats as they need a bit of leafage to aid digestion. And it isn't just one that uses it. It's both which is pretty odd with these two.

Very easy to use, grows fast, around 5-7 days roughly. The gel does settle as the grass gets longer. Next time I will save half of the mixture as there is quite a lot for a small tray. Also it might be an idea to transfer all the mixture into a more sturdy dish ie: large dog dish. Dont be tempted to over fill the tray with water as it absorbs very quickly and mine over spilled a bit. Cat loved it although very curious to begin with. I will be buying more.

I was unsure when I first saw this but I am so glad I bought it!I have two indoor cats and they've never had grass before. One is a really anxious boy and we were recommended cat grass to relieve his stress, he's a lot calmer and the pair of them love their grass!I cannot recommend this enough! We're ordering more this month, enough that one can grow whilst the other is being eaten! I'm so glad it's helping my little boy come out of his shell!

Our cat loves this! As you can see she's fluffy and this grass is very helpful in preventing furballs from injested fur making her sick. The grass is really simple to germinate, just be certain to pour the first watering evenly. The grass has a nice smell, not too tough, I haven't trimmed this tub yet. She likes to chew it down. Would recommend, especially for indoor cats or during the winter months.
