If you're as clumsy as me, so far one ipad, several broken thumb drives, one Samsung laptop screen and a mac book pro screen the poorer, then robust IT equipment is a boon.First impressions are good with a solid bumper around the edge of the drive unit and overall it looks pretty attractive, which is nice. The connection is USB3.1 to USB3.0 but you can buy cables to suit if you have USB3.1 ports on your devices. Being a bit of a Mac Fan I should have really left this formatted in vfat but I have software that allows my macs to read NTFS drives so I plumped for the more robust system in which to format the drive.Besides NTFS is compatible with just about everything I own with a USB3 port that I could plug this disc into and that includes my 4K TV.So far the external drive has worked well and speeds are ht you'd expect from 2.5" drive over USB3. I've had it connected to two different Mac Book Pro's, a projector and the aforementioned TV (effectively acting as a PVR.Overall a nice product with a robust casing and decent speeds along with more than adequate capacity for home needs.

I use a lot of portable disc drives both for work and for personal reasons, this one is by far the most HEAVY DUTY I have ever had. The drive is smark looking, with a metallic blue finish, it comes protected by a super thick and durable rubber edging. There is also a chunky rubber BUNG in the bottom of the drive to prevent water/dirt getting inside the USB C port.Inside the box, you receive the Drive (13cm x 8.71cm x 2.1cm), a (USB C > USB C) Cable, and a (USBC > USB) adapter allowing you to use it on most devices. The Drive Features:Rain / Dust Resistance1.2m Drop Tested1000lb Crush ResistanceThis drive is NOT cheap, BUT its super well made and appears to be very heavy duty.So if you want the ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER of portable Drivers, this one is probably for you ;)

Armour. All-Terrain. Triple-layer. Shock mounts.Let no-one be in doubt that is a rugged external HDD, with a spec from a Marvel movie. It isn't solid state of course, that would cost a mint for 2Tb, but it has enough protection that it doesn't need to be.The transfer rates are average (I tested it with Windows 10), and then dropped it from shoulder height a few times just for fun. Based on that, I don't think there are any normal accidents that are going to kill your data. The non-slip coating is a really winner - it sticks to my desk like a gecko, and every other physical aspect of it oozes strength and confidence. It is expensive, but for a good reason. And if you need this level of protection, well worth considering.

The connection cable for this hard drive is a usb c rather than the usual usb cables. You'll be familiar to this cable if you have a samsung s9+ phone. It comes with an adaptor so you can use it with your phone or connect to a computer. The casing is rugged and seems hard wearing. It is a comfort to know it can withstand an accidental drop. I haven't tested that element of it, I dont know anyone who would want to deliberately put their data through rough handling but as a regular hard drive can be fragile, the ruggidness is good for clumsy oafs like me.Set up was a doddle, it really is plug and play.

Good, solid hard-drive that looks much better in real life than the photo. The rubbery casing is neat, grippy and can be removed. The casing helps anchor the drive to my desk—it doesn’t slip around. It took around 2½ hours to back up a mostly-full 250GB SSD MacBook Pro with Time Machine—not bad, and better than any spinny-disk hard drive I’ve used. Rock solid and recommended for local backup.

I was worried about the speed of this hard drive compared to my SSD. Yes, it isn’t as fast but it is no slouch. I transferred 50GB in less than an hour.It comes with a handy usbc to usba adaptor.I’m yet to test it’s durability but I plan to soon. Stay tuned for the results

Seems great, use it with a Mac, no problems so far and it’s USB 3. Feels very robust, we will see but no reason to doubt the manufacturers claims.Well made with a nice protective rubber bumper, comes with usb cable and in structure booklet. Not too heavy either.
