We (hubby and I) have been trying to toilet train our son for a fair bit of time now and have tried numerous methods, potty's and toilet seats, all without luck. This is the first potty our son has been comfortable doing a number 2 on and I think it is because of the seat design. The potty comes in a biggish box and couldn't be easier to set up as all you need to do is click the seat back into place and insert the bucket into the seat. You then just need to set the appropriate seat height for your little one and there are two different height settings which to adjust you push the grey button in on either side and then click into whichever height slot you want it set at.The buttons are very stiff and so I push one side in and move the potty slightly so it doesn't click back into place and then do the opposite side the same and then finally pull both sides into their proper position. The seat (seat itself and not the full height of the potty) height is 18cm from the ground on it's highest setting and 14cm from the ground on it's lowest setting. The seat back can be folded back down for if you ever need to transport the potty which I think is a really useful feature. The potty has gripper front feet to help stop it slipping and the arms are really handy to help you little one stand and sit on the potty. The green version we have also has a boy's splashguard at the front and although this is obviously meant for little boys our baby daughter has also been practicing sitting on the potty and this doesn't seem to hinder her at all. The pink version doesn't have the splashguard but is identical to the green version other than that. The bucket is removable so you can empty it down the toilet and really easy to get in and out with it having clearance underneath. My son seems really comfy when sitting on the potty and again I think it is because of the chair design which he positions right in front of the television so her can watch his shows in comfort!A really good design and we have tried out quite a few different versions now and I can say this is by far our favourite and our sons favourite too. If you look at my review for the green version you will see against it that it is a verified Amazon purchase and I have duplicated the review over to the pink version with the potty's being identical other than the splashguard.

We chose this potty for our daughter who has just turned 3 but is very tall & generally big for her age & has consistently resisted potty training. She's now getting too big for most nappies so we can't wait for her to "get it in her own time" as so many people keep telling us.The potty is much more sturdy than a normal cheap potty from the supermarket or children's goods shop. Our daughter definitely finds this reassuring, as she used to look down as the previous one which used to wiggle under her. She also likes the backrest & arms, it's definitely more comfortable. She's about 104cm tall at present & we have it on the lower height setting at present. The potty is pretty easy to clean,& light enough/packs back up so it could be taken away on holiday etc, as the backrest folds down. Our only real criticisms are:1) that when a child does a wee on it without pulling down their pants (as all kids are apt to do when training) it splashes quite a lot in the gap between the middle insert, & the body of the potty. But, we sorted this by placing an absorbent cloth under the potty, to catch the drips, and getting a fresh one each time.2) Much more annoying, the middle insert often sticks to our daughter's bare legs if she's been sitting for more than a couple of seconds. You can imagine how helpful this is when it's full... It would have been much better if there had been some kind of clip on the underside to ensure the middle part stayed in place. But overall this is a great potty, especially for slightly older or larger children. Would definitely recommend it. Just watch out when they stand up!

fantastic item. we had been trying to toilet train our son for a few weeks using a basic potty but due to him being quite tall for his age he was clearly uncomfortable on the basic potties. As soon as this was out of the box our boy was on it and has rarely had an accident since. as you can adjust it's height it meant that he was comfortable and could sit on it like you would with a larger toilet without his knees and legs being placed at awkward angles. The potty insert comes out easily for cleaning so you don't need to take the whole seat - this is particularly hand with an inquisitive crawler about as you can dispose of the cpntents quickly - my son often proudly brings it through to show us what he's done.- we have yet to have the splashback issues that some others have mentioned.it's also quite robust and I can see our youngest using it when the time comes. husband was initially not keen on the cost but now agrees that it is well worth the money especially as it not overly decorated.

My son is 2 and we've been trying to get him out of nappies for a few months now. He's always been a tall child for his age, and he wasn't comfortable on the traditional potty as it was too low down for him. I looked around at the various different pottys available, some are ridiculous prices that I couldn't justify spending that much money on.I found the Fisher-Price 'Custom Comfort' and although it was still rather expensive, it was adjustable in height which most others aren't.Since this has arrived my son has been out of nappies and will happily sit on this pot without any encouragement. It's frankly amazing how quickly he transitioned from nappies to this potty.Well worth every penny spent (pun intended).

My little boy wasn't very happy using his previous potty so we bought him this and withing a few days he was using it regularly. Its fairly light, sturdy, stable and not too big that you can't find room for it in the boot of the car if you go away on holiday. I've read here that boys have had problems with their pee splashing up but in our experience that hasn't been an issue. If you point them in the right direction this should not be a problem. The insert is easy to remove and clean.

Seems expensive but a great product, my 2 year old wasn't keen on sitting on a hard narrow rimmed conventional potty so I tried this. The handles make it easy for little ones to hold onto while sitting down and the wide seat means they are happy to sit and have a story read out while waiting for the event! its a great success and there are now no problems associated with the phrase 'do you need to try and sit on the potty'

best thing iv brought, its easy to use as it has handles and sides so no toddler and wee landing on the carpet! its like a seat so comfortable and doesn't have the lip at the front which can be quite painful when sat at on the wrong angle, easy to clean as the tray comes apart so isn't a fath like older styled pottys. definatly worth spending the money on something like this for your child it will be used

My little boy loves this,it's made potty training so much easier. My son enjoys emptying the potty into the toilet after he's done,he looked very comfortable everything he went on it as it is designed like a chair and has 2 height positions.Only issue I have is that the bowl is not deep enough for a poo,but then again my little one found it more comfortable doing his big business in the grown ups loo.

Brilliant! I like the design of this with the armrests as my little boy can be quite excitable and jump around, it stops him falling off, and the raised front bit of the potty prevents little boys from peeing on the floor. The adjustable height is a great feature too. Nice little potty and we'll worth the money

Good size and love the handles but think my little boy found the ledge at the back got in the way of his poos, we ended up switching to an IKEA Lockig instead and although it lacks the handles it's a better shape potty! This one now lives upstairs for any overnight wee stops instead of being our main potty.

Very comfortable and stable potty. It looks like baby feels very safe and happy. Good you can change the height. It would be good if it had a lid, because the child tends to throw in a variety of towels that can turn out to be a very unpleasant surprise if the pot is not cleaned right away.

Love this potty! It was a godsend for our very very tall 2 year old, especially whilst I had a very small baby to care for. He could independently use it, and has transitioned to using the toilet without issue. Especially relevant for number twos because it's comfy! Easy to clean.

Absolute god send my daughter can sit at a decent hight to go toilet without pain and its alot easier to tip down loo and clean than one of the big bulky potty's had this roughly a year now and its been everywhere with her even to nursery helped with potty training imensly

Amazing! My son loves this potty! It really nailed the potty training for us. He is very tall for his age and due to the height of the potty and the sides he is able to get on and off it very easily by himself. Easy to empty and easy to adjust the height. All round winner!
