I first bought this potty when I was beginning to potty train my 2 1/2 year-old daughter. I wanted to be equipped with all the right things to get it right. I must admit that using this potty had a shaky start, mostly due to our lack of confidence. I would suggest practice locking and unlocking it plenty of times before actually beginning potty training. This has been the single most important investment towards staying mobile during and after training our toddler. It turns into a baby toilet seat in a flash -- something which it has been mostly used for -- and then folds back up again very easily too. And when we were travelling in countries like Turkey or Spain ... or even when being out at the park or the beach, the convertible potty version has been a life saver. Some public toilets were too dirty for me to feel comfortable setting the seat on them, so I would just convert it into a lined potty and use it. No problems. On long-haul flights and in malls as well, it has been invaluable. And over time, my daughter's confidence with the product has grown to the point that she is very comfortable using it when out and about.I have given 4 stars for two reasons:1. Unlocking the legs from the potty position can be fiddly and sometimes a pain. You see each leg has two clicking positions on either end. You unclick one side and then turn it around to unclick the other side. But when you do this, the first lock almost ALWAYS clicks back because the plastic is rigid. So you are back to where you started and you have to do it a couple of times over and over until the legs are unlocked on both sides. This can be time consuming, frustrating and (more often than not), if the potty has been placed in a not-so-clean place, you risk dirtying your own hands.2. The potty comes with very few liners. But instead of spending on the original ones, I simply keep a long chain of 15-liter bin liners and a wad of kitchen papers inside the potty bag. So we are just as good to go. (Just make sure that the bin liners don't have any holes in them!)I would highly recommend this product to all parents of little ones. Potty training is a tough job and anything that makes it remotely easier is a Godsend. The Potette is now a permanent part of our baby travel bag. Go buy one!

I absolutely would not be without this portable pottete! You can use it in two ways, either as a potty with a bag over it and also as a portable toilet seat. When using it as a potty you need to make sure that the legs are clicked in to place otherwise the legs are not stable. You then put one of the bags supplied on the potty then the business is done, them you dispose of the bag only. The pottete comes with a couple of bags but I did not purchase any extras - I did what my Sister-in-law advised that she had done with her daughter and that was to use normal plastic bags with a night time sanitary towel placed in the middle.I found this a cheaper and more absorbent option. To use as a toilet seat all you need to do is open out the potty flat and place on top of the toilet seat. I find this aspect extremely useful now that my daughter is potty trained yet her little bottom is too big for the toilet! The potette comes with a little drawstring bag so you can carry it in your bag hygenically. My only issue with this pottete is that it can be tricky clicking and unlocking to/from the potty mode. I have mum friends whose pottetes are not as stiff as ours so maybe I have been unlucky - but it is well worth the agro for the peace of mind whilst out and about, you cannot put a price on that!

FANTASTIC!My two year old is too little and skinny bummed to use the booster seat on toilets so needs a potty when out and about, this was the ideal solution as it is so handy in that it folds down for more compact storage and the adaptability means when she's a bit older she can use it as a booster and if we are caught short she still has a potty to go in.The potette comes with its own travel bag which I like because the potty is kept away from other bits in your main bag. I also like that it can be preloaded with disposable bags so you just 'click, sit and go'.My only gripe with it is the first few times I thought I was going to break my thumbs or the potty trying to click the handles back down to fold, they were super stiff, but now after a few uses it has got much easier to assemble/disassemble.The biggest test is whether my toddler would wee on it as we have had a few issues with what she will and won't use and she loves it and happily wees on it despite it not resembling her home potty.Overall a brilliant purchase, and you aren't necessarily tied in to purchasing the branded bags, we have substituted small pedal bin bags with cheap sanitary towels at the bottom which work great and worked out at a 1/4 of the price of the same number of branded bags.

I was slightly sceptical about buying this - the cost plus the liners initially made me hesitate but what a great thing it's proved to be. My 2 year old was throwing hissy fits about using any public toilet and we were just about to go on holiday. Cue a search for travel potties and after a bit of deliberation I plumped for this and it's been fab. My wee girl is happy to use either the training seat or the potty - on holiday it was fab - just set up the potty in the garden area and when the need arose just popped along from the pool to use it and popped another lining in. It then went in the bag for being out and about and it's been absolutely great.Yes the first few times you use it the mechanisms are slightly stiff but after that it's fine. The liners are not cheap admittedly but fine for more occasional use out from the house. The carry bag has split (after about a week!) but I'm just using one of my older kids' gym bags instead so it's fine. All in all I would absolutely recommend this to anyone! At home we're just using the strata little star potty chair which is much more comfy than some basic models but got that from Argos!

This has, without doubt, been one of the best products I've bought as a parent. My daughter (3) finally mastered using the toilet. She is happy using her training seat on the toilet at home but when we are out and about, she will pointblank refuse to go into a public toilet - never mind into the cubicle! She is afraid of falling into the toilet! She won't even use the training seat her nana got for her for their house - only uses her potty there. I bought this for her and first had the chance to use it at a family party in a social club last weekend. She was more than happy to use it (as the potty) ... in the ladies .... I think she knew she didn't have to worry about sitting on the big toilet. She went twice. Delighted. Brilliant product. It's study, the legs click into place although it's a bit stiff to un-click to fold it back up but that's not a problem; I'm just glad she was happy to use it :) Will be used for number 2 daughter when her time comes too if she has the same fear.

I think this product is great, my daughter calls it her magic potty and I think she's right, it is magic. I can fit it in my changing bag and I have a potty/ toilet seat with us when we go out. It folds up and goes in my bag so it's very discreet, no one knows we have a potty with us, much better than having to take a potty or chunky toddler seat. She didn't like sitting on big toilets, she was always worried she would fall in, now she can use big toilets with confidence when using this product. My daughter is big for her age and being a more chunky toddler I was worried that it wouldn't take her weight. However it's great, its made of a thick plastic and is sturdy enough for her even when it's folded out on a big toilet. It is a bit low to the ground but that's the nature of its design, you can't have big legs and still fold up small. The only negative thing is it only comes with 3 liners so you have to buy a pack separately.

brilliant. we had a "my carry potty" for initially potty training but it took quite a battering and developed a leak at the edge. Plus as our children are a bit older now, we only need a potty in real emergencies (car!). Volume was becoming an issue if they both needed a wee!So we got this on a friend's recommendation. Its great. folds up flat although quite stiff so can go into a bag. or as suggested on here, if you're in the country with little girls and they need a wee, you can dispense with the bag and just prop it up on the grass. we don't use it as a toilet seat as our kids have learned to balance on an adult one easily enough, but i'd imagine if you were away and newly potty training it would be reassurring to use.the bags are just glorified carriers with a pad in, and i'm sure you can make a whole host of homemade versions, but for us and for occasional use, it works perfectly.

Potty training is more stressful on parents than toddlers. So you want all the help you can get.Preparing for that first car ride post training is just as bad. So you want to be prepared with a travel potty. What to get? The advice is plentiful. All I can say is we are very pleased with this.- It packs flat into a nice little draw string bag that sits under the car seat.- The inserts have a nice absorbant pad that pretty much soaks up all liquid.- Number two is a bit tricky at times if the child is unsure of the surroundings.- Once done, you just pull up the handles of the bag and bin it.- Put a new bag on top and flat pack it.Concerning reviews that complain of the difficulty in opening and closing - its just a lift/move action that makes sense if you look at the hinge.Once done right the potty is stable.Highly recommended for stressed parents!

After extensive research I decided on the potette over other portable potties. So glad I did. It has been an absolute essential for potty training while out and about. First impressions are that it is quite low, but this didn't seem to be a problem to my daughter. You have to fold out the legs and make sure they click into place, they are stiff at first but they do get easier. Then you add the bag in and off you go, then remove bag and chuck away. It comes with a couple of disposable bags and a plastic bag for storage. I also love the fact you can use as a toilet seat as often while you are out the toilets are massive for little ones and whilst you can hold them I think the toilet seat gives them extra confidence and security. You just fold the legs out and sit on top of normal seat to use this way. As I say an absolute essential for toddlers. Pick this one!

We do a lot of travel (C19 restrictions permitting) as we have family a long drive away plus we like to get out in the outdoors a lot. Our daughter is now 4 and potty trained for over a year but is still needing to get to a toilet quickly for number 2s. The pottete is compact and the mess is contained within the liner. Tie a knot in it and find a handy bin. Very little cleaning required. With the current pandemic it has been a godsend as she does what she needs to do in the car and no where near all the surfaces you don't want her to touch in service station loos (not to mention the battle with a stubborn child not wanting to wash hands as much as you would like because she wants to get away from the noisy hand dryers).I couldn't recommend this enough!

This little travel potty is a godsend for any parents who are potty training and still want to leave the house! It's well made and compact and fits into a shoulder bag or rucksack easily. It folds flat while not in use and when you do want to use it, you pull the legs out and snap them into position for a sturdy potty. What's great about this seat is that you can also splay the legs and use the potty over a standard-sized toilet. Great for little people who feel a bit unsure sat on an adult toilet. We took this on holiday with us and our 2.5 year old ended up using it on the plane as we were stuck on the runway for 1 hour unable to use the toilet - lifesaver!(We bought extra potty liners as itonly comes with a few)

This is a must-buy for the potty training phase. I love how simple it is. My 2.5yr old daughter knew how to use it at once, even though it doesn't look much like her normal potty due to the liners, but all is good, she goes on it when we're out and about, in the park, on long journeys, anywhere when we can't get to a public toilet! No fuss! Easy to dispose of the liner-bag like a nappy when finished. Beats carrying round a potty full of wee/poo....why carry a normal potty round with you, because where are you going to empty it, after all?! I feel very relaxed knowing we have this stashed under the buggy :) such a relief!

Got this potette for when we went away. I was surprised how well it worked for us, daughter used straight away no issue. The potty itself was easy to use, and loved that fits in a back pack/change bag. No blucky potty to carry round. Saw others with the cases that were the potty or a potty clipped to pram/ back packs.Thought there would be due to the plastic bag she would be sat on. Worked well since holiday as emergency potty downstairs when poohs happen. We didn't get the potette liners due to the expense, instead used the cheaper bags and put folded up kitchen paper in to absorb the wee. No complaints.

We use this for day trip and holidays, it's very handy as both a travel potty and a portable toilet seat. We bought additional potty bags as not a huge supply comes with the potette. One friend found her daughter was reluctant to wee on the frogs so you might want to make this part of the game from the outset! Others have said the use carrier bags with kitchen towels or sanitary towels in the base, but now that the bags are 5p each it might not be as cost effective as before! The little travel bag it comes with is nice and sturdy, and makes travelling with it a bit easier too.

Fairly straightforward and simple to use.The opening is a little wide for slimmer built children, but my toddler manages well as it's quite low and she's able to sort of squat. It folds pretty flat so slots into our changing bag.The legs need quite a shove to click them into place to stand up. The other side of this is that they don't collapse easily, good in one way but I have then pulled one leg off when trying to find it down. It slotted back in fine as it's all just plastic push fit but wondering whether I might break it one day.
