I had a very reluctant almost 4 year old who was completely against potty training. I tried everything to encourage him, all the usual tricks. This potty was the one thing that made him not only begin to use the potty but he was actually excited about it. He was fully potty trained in 6 days using this. He LOVES the stickers (you turn the knob for the stickers to come out but if you wind too many out they don't wind back in unless you unscrew the back panel and wind them back that way). It comes with 2 lovely very good quality stickers charts which double up as a certificate on the back once they have completed the whole chart. Also comes with a spare roll of stickers. You can purchase more but I haven't needed to.When you switch it on the stars light up and the voice sings. When they are sat on the potty the music plays and once they have done something it does a drum roll and cheers then they get to pull the flush. This is the best bit as it makes a proper flushing sound and my son is convinced some of it actually gets flushed away. Its easy to clean as the bowl bit comes off to tip everything away in the toilet. The fact is looks like a miniature toilet is great too and size wise its fine for a 3 yr+9month old (my son is tall for his age and it fits him fine). The seat bit comes off to fit onto the proper toilet so you don't have to buy a separate one of these. The shield bit for boys provides good protection but it keeps falling off so as long as they don't knock it its ok. My son knows how to put it back on now but was a bit annoying at first. I would fully recommend buying this for the price, well worth it. I actually don't know what else would have worked for my little boy!

We tried so many ways but potty-training just wasn't happening. My daughter was perfectly capable but just wasn't interested. I was fed up because a) she's almost 3 and outgrown the largest nappies, and b) we have a 1-yr-old: 2 sets of nappies is expensive and I spent all day changing nappies. No more! She overheard a salesperson describe it, and would not be dissuaded by me who gulped at the £25.99 price tag for a potty. Still, I bought it, thinking if she is excited about it, it might work.Once home, she was desperate to sit on her singing potty. 1 week on, I can count her accidents on one hand, she just goes and sits down without telling me she needs to.The sound effects mean I don't have to follow her until I hear "you did it!" or "Good job!" - meaning I can keep my curious and determined 1-yr-old away from the toilet, and no more 'phantom pees'. She smiles every time she sits on it and it greets her, she loves the flush, and enjoys rewarding herself with a sticker. Yes it's got an American voice, but who cares?? My daughter doesn't, and it does the job, it's comfy, easy to clean, well-built, and I don't find that the music goes on and on. Once she gets up, it says Nice Try, then shuts up, or "don't forget to flush", and after flushing, reminds her to get a sticker, then shuts up. Most films have American voices, so I have no problem with a toddler being encouraged by an American to use the potty. Comes with an extra chart, and extra roll of stars, so I look forward to using it for Child no.2.Best £25.99 I ever spent.

I'd tried to potty train my 2year old boy on a traditional pot to no avail. He hated the thing and they look so uncomfortable for the little one to use so I ordered this. It's now been 6 days and aided with this and a tin of "reward treats" my little fella is now clean day and night, he loves it.. He asks to and/or goes and uses it himself and loves the "flush"It recognises when he sits on it and when he has been so no peering between the legs to see and plays a tune until they've been or got off to keep them occupied. He loves the reward stars although they were all "pulled out" within seconds and for me, it looks cute too and is easy to clean. Plus, because it looks like a real toilet,my son will happily use a "big potty" when out and about so no accidents there or need to take potty along. My only down point is that the deflector doesn't clip in very well and is easily knocked into the potty. As a mum of four who were all clean within days, my tip for first time/failing potty trainers is to just banish the nappies full stop and let them go bare bum so that they can feel there is nothing there until they get the hang off it. Don't waste your money and time confusing them with pull ups and night time nappies, just buy a water protective sheet for their mattress, limit drinking before bedtime, use potty before going to bed and get up earlier than them, wake them up and lift them straight on to potty, they are most likely to pee when just awakening and are nice and warm. Good luck ☺

One day last year, my 5 year old grandson rushed into the room as I sat working on my laptop. Emergency, emergency, he announced loudly as a danced his old familiar gotta-go-potty dance. I calmly told him to go potty, meaning go to the bathroom like we always do. He informed me that he couldn’t, someone was in both bathrooms.I hurriedly got the potty chair from our spare room and put it down for him to use. Wheew, that was close. Thank goodness we had not put the potty chair in storage like we intended to do many times. The potty chair saved the day.I bought this potty chair when he was 2 years old to help with his potty training. It did a great job then and, now it serves us well in case both bathrooms are occupied.Grandson has a place to go without having to try to wait until the bathrooms are available. This potty chair makes a handy back-up for older kids in case of emergency.I highly recommend it.

I recently purchased this potty for my 3 1/2 year-old grandson. Because of his PDD (mild autism)he has been very uninterested in potty training & resisted even trying to use the other potty chairs his parents tried - and absolutely hated sitting on the padded potty seat that sits on the big toilet! After he was introduced to his new "Smart Rewards Potty" - suddenly all the "dry runs" turned into actual success! It was so good to see him make the connection with the music & "You Did It" !!! Letting him help dump the removable reservoir, hear the music, pretend to flush and place the sticker on the chart - finally is working! While he is still not totally trained yet - we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. This is a good choice for any child - especially those with a developmental delay who haven't caught on to other methods!

Sings when your child sits on the potty, says 'never mind - try again next time' if your child doesn't go but flashed and sings if they do. Stickers can then be dispensed and put on the chart provided so your child can see their progress.Bowl lifts out for easy cleaning. Has a good flush sound so teaches good habits of flushing after use.Only slight downs are the boys splash guard at the front is easily knocked but I found my son soon got used to it. Also it sings about put a sticker on your chart straightaway so doesn't give you a chance to wash hands first. But we soon got our son to wait until after that and for every 10 stickers he got a treat, it worked very quickly.Well made, sturdy and smart potty that teaches good habits and makes your child want to try. Recommended.Read full review...

We bought this because our son wasn't enjoying potty training too much. With this toliet we placed it in his room, so he would feel like it was his own. It has caught on and the potty training has improved greatly. The songs the toliet sings are now all sung along with and he gets so excited when he completes the task and gets a sticker for his chart. We did take the stickers out of the toliet and give them to him ourselves. He quickly learned he could just pull the stickers out from the toliet. When cleaning the bowl out you have to make sure that you completely dry it or the sensor may not work the next time your child uses the toliet.Overall we are very satisfied with this toliet.

Ive had this item approx 3 weeks, when it arrived and came out of the box my son sent me out of the room so he could use it and bingo we were there! Kept it downstairs for first week or so, now it's in his room and he runs up to use it whenever he needs to. Before this he had been having a few accidents at nursery but none since this arrived, also after 2 nights he is dry through the night aswell as he wakes up to use it. The one thing i will say is the little shield meant for boys is a bit of a nuisance, we don't use it anymore as it just kep falling off and into the potty when he sat down, doesn't seem to cause any problems and he hasn't made a mess or anything.

This potty was awesome. I did my research and this was the one to get. My son actually didn't use it as much as I thought he would. We switched to those padded toilet covers for him to sit on and they actually prompted him to use the big toilet more than this. So looking back I probably could have saved a lot of money!But- If you are looking for a good learning potty - this is the one! Great reward system! Great Music! My only vice is keep it clean and dry. If any wetness exists under the "bowl" it will get those metal pieces wet underneath and cause them to rust. It didn't affect the workings of the potty, but I don't like rust!

The potty's main complaint in many other feed backs we'd seen was its small size but for months now we have struggled to find a potty that was small enough for my wee girl that her tiny bum didn't fall into the pot. She loves the lights and flush function and the independence it gives her. I recommend removing the reward sticker reel in the back as my daughter was sticking them round the house but the reward charts have been a good feature and I allowed my daughter to decorate the potty with stickers too to allow her to make it personal to her.

Brilliant training aid. Bought this for my granddaughter when she turned 2, but left the music off at first so she got used to it, in case it scared her off. However, she loved it. She is greeted with a little welcome song on sitting down, praised for performing, reminded to flush, which brings on more praise. You can then extract a sticker from the side as a reward for her chart. Well thought through, and makes training fun and different. Will definitely be passing through all the grandchildren. Just be prepared to hear the welcome song alot.

Would have been 5 stars but when I phoned the number in the instruction booklet to order more stickers and reward charts they said they didn't do them separately. Even though the booklet states they do, and gives you a number to ring! Such a shame as my lg loves the toilet. I have since bought alternative stickers but it's not the same. As far as potty training goes it's been amazing, I've used it for potty training 2 of my children and it's made the job much easier, and for that I couldn't recommend it highly enough!

Putting this together was super easy, it just clicked into place. My little girl was a little spooked out at first when she sat on it and it sung to her but after a while she sang along which was cute. It reminds the little one to flush and wash her hands afterwards which is a great big bonus. It comes with a sticker chart which is really cool. It does seem more like a toy then a developmental learning 'thing' but I suppose thats what is really great about it, the little ones like to use it more.

This potty has already encouraged my 15 month old to use it successfully through brillent songs and encouraging music. It comes with star charts and at the appropriate age this is clearly a benefit to assist with encouragement. There is a parent activated switch to produce a sticker. The potty has mutiple sensors to pick up when the child sits, follows through with pee or poop and flushes the chain with each having its own reward song. Sensor 2 can't be activated before sitting for example.
