The box is not indestructable, but it of a far better quality than most alumnium flight case type boxes I have seen; particularly the big plastic corner protectors which protect it and give it more strength. I would have prefered something made of indestructable plastic.The tools are very high quality. For example, there is a nice textured finish on the spanners that makes them very pleasant to handle. Everything seems solidly made and high quality. I am very pleased with these tools and I spent a long time looking before buying this kit.There are actually 2 sets of spanners covering a similar range, one that fits in the cards, and one that fits in the socket set box. Not sure why this is,but it means you can just take the smaller socket set for a job sometimes.This 'kit' is a little bizarre in some ways. Not all of the tools fit in the main box at the same time. There is actually a separate box for the sockets. Also the insert cards in the main box are not attached to it in any way. So you have a nice range of tools, but you have to pick and mix what you want in the main box. You can fit all of the tools and keep the socket set box separate. Or you can put the socket set in, and miss out a card. Also there are some spacers to make a tray of loose bits and pieces in the bottom of the main case, but you can't do that with all 3 cards in.The cards are completely generic, not shaped to fit the tools in any way, just a series of elastic strips that you fit the tools underneath. This means it is up to you to decide how you want to lay out the tools, but has the disadvantage of a specific layout that lets you know easily if something is missing. It does have the advantage that you can easily add new tools to the kit. I need some simple electricians tools like a wire cutter/stripper for car work, so I think this actually works out very well.I had to knock off a point for the bizareness although I don't really want to because this is still an excellent tool kit that I am very happy with.
