First time I tried Falke Walkies was 3 years ago in Amsterdam. I was wearing boots that gave me blisters while walking from Leidseplein back to the city center. Saw a sock store en route and bought their thickest socks available. The Walkies feel amazing. The next year we were in Amsterdam I looked for the same sock shop to buy more. I totally forgot the name of the store but knew where it was. I bought two more and convinced my husband to get one. Now the only socks he wants are Falke Walkies. Three years later my first Walkie pair still feels like brand new. These are really great for the cold weather. Keeps the feet warm and toasty.

This pair of Merino wool fabric socks do not have normal but extra cushioning. These are indeed very thick socks. I have purchased hiking socks before but nothing like these, as they are super comfy when walking.But if your walking shoes/boots are fitted then these socks may not be as comfortable because of the thickness. At the same time these provide cushioning like insoles do, which is a plus.The fabric is soft, with a feel of wool. Ideal winter season walking. These are made from 63% Virgin wool, 35% Polyamide and 2% Elastane.Good fitting for UK size 10.The price is high for these socks but the quality is really good. I would recommend these.

These socks are really nice and thick without being cumbersome.They come up really high with enough length of fold over the tops, which is great for my walking boots.They are nice and warm thanks to the merino wool.The thick sole allows for comfort while out on long walks and there was no slipping or rubbing of the sock.They've washed nicely and the quality is brilliant.

My husband discovered these socks when we lived in Germany and now they are the only ones he will wear. They last for years; the elastic may wear over time but the socks just go on and on. I've never thrown a pair out because of a hole.

Really fabulous socks. They are comfortable and so warm A bit expensive but they look as if they will wear well, and so last, but only time will tell. My son likes them so much that he has bought himself three more pairs.

I've been wearing these socks for many years now. Sole thickness is greater, and soft. I like the left-right design. They are great!
