I just got these. They seem awesome and Im excited to try them out. They are kinda thick and my shoe is tight over these but I expected that. My winter boots have enough room for layers. These are going on all my backpacking trips from now on. I don't use waterproof shoes. I prefer breathable shoes that I can just walk through water and then will dry out quickly. I have found that gore tex shoes typically will still eventually soak through even in light rain and once wet will take a long long time to dry. On multi day backpacking trips one day of rain may mean several days of wet boots. I don't mind my feet being wet for a day or so but any longer and your skin will begin to rot.So I will only put these on on multi day backpacking trips with more than a day or two or rain. It will be nice to know that I have these. I will update later if I have any problems with them. I will probably get another pair or two.

I got these based in a recommendation that they will keep me dry and warm. But mainly dry!!I'm going to Wales for a mtb session and these will keep me going if it's bad weather!I'm typically a size 10-10.5 so large fitted the bill and they do fit very well. Not to right and not to loose. You may notice a little excess on the sock. So could easily accommodate a larger foot! They were little thicker than I thought they would be but when I tried my shoes in they were still comfortable. These compress a little so they are not actually that much thicker in reality.Pretty pleased so far. Most money I've spent of socks!! £21 but much cheaper than in the shops at £28!Check out the photographs. Can recommend.

I've worn Sealskinz for many years and I currently own 4 or 5 pairs of various length socks - all have performed flawlessly. Sometimes I forget I have them on and wear them day after day so they get worn away on the soles but for general outdoor use they are perfect (they're not really for every day use). When heading out into the woods, fishing or mountain biking Sealskins are my first choice due to the comfort waterproof qualities and breathability. No chance of trench foot when wearing these and when combined with quality footwear (I currently wear Harkila Pro-Hunter GTX boots) it is a match made in heaven.

These, are a quality item. I have been using these for a couple of months now, mainly for off road motorcyling. I wear these, as was fed up of my boots leaking and water comming over the top when going through streams. These keep my feet nice and dry when my boots start to leak ( you wont get totally waterproof motocross/enduro boots ). I have also worn these whilst skiing, and they have been more than adequate to keep my feet dry, The breathability is good, although if used in a ski boot they would of been better if slightly longer. Im sure there are other lengths available.

Exceeded expectations. My first pair of waterproof socks and I confess, I was sceptical. They really are waterproof. As long as you don't let the water go over the top, you can paddle around in a stream/pond/puddle for quite some time and your feet do stay dry!! Yet somehow they also manage to be comforable and not leave your feet sweaty, smelly and boiling in the bag. The only thing I would say is buy two pairs, because you'll want to wear them all the time but it does take a while to air-dry them properly after a wash. If you're careful, they wash well though.

Got their first real workout at the weekend walking up Scafell Pike. My right leg sunk into an unexpected bog (past the top of the sock) and then I made a small point of wading through a river (below the top of the sock) to really try them out in my boggy not very good leaky walking boots.Feet totally dry at the end of it and not at all hot! So not only 100pc waterproof, but breathable also.Highly recommended, especially when your boots aren't up to it...... Sod spending £200 on a new pair of fancy German waterproof boots, just get a pair of these! : D

These are great for mtbing I use them under my Gortex cycling boots and my feet have been great all through the winter. Last winter I just used thick socks and cycle shoes with outer neoprene over shoes and to be honest that's just painful and not great for unclipping from the pedals quickly. This is my second pair of these (other pair still in perfect order) and I will continue using them. I think that Sealskinz make a mtb specific sock but these have been great. Also they are made in Britain which is nice to see.

I work on a construction site, my job involves me walking in mud, concrete, water, contaminated soil and basically anything that soaks your feet for 10 hours a day, 6 days a week.Every time I finish work I take these socks off and my feet are bone dry.I've had these socks for 5 weeks now, however I do recommend you purchase the SealSkinz Thermal Liner Socks also for best results and keeping your feet nice and warm throughout the day.Highly recommended and I'm about to purchase another pair

If you've ever rowed in winter and had to endure wet feet in the boat for 2+ hours, this will change your life! They have also improved the fit of my (not so expensive) wellies which are slightly too big - helping to keep my foot in place within the boots so they don't rub and cause blisters when I wear them dog walking. So pleased a friend recommended these. All boxes tick tick ticked - LOVE these! No more cold feet ever again!

Large size is a good fit for my size 9.5s.The "thin" description is relative - they are made of a 3 layer sandwich of material so they are not thin like a dress sock. More like a sports sock. They are comfortable to run in. And seem to keep out any wetness though I'm yet to really put the waterproof claims to the test. Was pleasantly surprised to learn from the packaging that they are made in the UK by a British company!

Best socks I've ever bought! Yes they are expensive but cant wait to get a second pair. I found myself unexpectedly having to walk through a river in work. I did not have any waterproof boots. I stuck these on and my feet remained dry leaving the rest of the day much more comfortable. Just note that after washing they drip dry... have a towel below to soak up the water!

They really are waterproof!! Went for a little 6 mile walk yesterday with friends in the rain (wore these with my mostly waterproof boots) and through long wet grass - my feet were nice and warm and dry whilst my friends were pouring water out of their boots! Not sure how comfortable they'd be on a long walk (over 20 miles) but perfect for anything under.

I now have three pairs of Sealskinz socks. I play a lot of golf and expensive (over £100) golf shoes are only guaranteed waterproof for 12 months. I now wear these socks with my golf shoes and my feet are perfectly dry. They are comfortable and do not make you feet sweat. It is a no brainer. Pity they do not improve my golf.

Got a plaster cast, bandage, surgical boot -cold? raining? You need these. You could wrap your foot in a carrier bag but these are breathable waterproof and warm. Worth every penny. Be warned that the tops are very tight to to avoid water getting in the tops buy I took scissors to mine to avoid reducing circulation.

Use for my commute to work, 20 mins bike ride in south east England. Perfect for light to medium rain, in heavy rain your feet will get cold because the socks are waterproof but the shoes (and outer layer of the socks) get completely sodden. Did think twice before dropping £30 on a pair of socks but well worth it
