Pleasantly surprised by these egg cups, which I bought as a last resort having had no luck in finding anything else to my liking. They are made of a matte plastic, the colour of an egg yolk, and have a seat that is perfectly sized for medium and large eggs. I imagine they would also work just as well with small eggs. At first, I didn't know what use the wings on either side of the seat would serve, but it now seems natural to me that one side is where I place the cap of the egg after it's removed, and the other side is where I rest the teaspoon.Beyond this, I can't really explain why I like them so much. I just do. They're very pleasing to see on a white dinner plate,
