This is a fantastic pack. It’s not cheap, but is is great value for money.I feel safe carrying a battery in this pack. The Evoc website explains the safety systems which include a back protector and a special padded and secure container for the battery. I would not ‘jump’ with a battery in any back pack, including this one. I have no idea what the safety of doing so is, so that statement is personal choice, no more. And, of course, it’s hard to imagine when you would need to carry a second battery when doing man-made jumps: surely these places have a place where your car is parked and to which you return after each ‘lap’? Pick up the second battery then.I would not use this — or any pack — for this type of use.Fully laden for a big long day, it’s going to be a heavy pack. Any pack would be. This one is of ‘light’ construction and is sturdy. I can’t imagine it being fit for purpose if any lighter. The soft material frame system is more than up to performing as a medium weight (when full) back pack, having a ‘double’ waist belt that takes all the weight on your hips if you want. The ‘double’ part of the waist belt is well explained on the Evoc website. The shoulder straps are arranged the same way as with modern medium sized expedition ruck-sack straps — details on website. It’s method of securing the battery is unique and safe as far as I can tell. In my use it was exceptionally stable whilst riding. I’ve ridden with it extensively on ‘Red’ trails and some ‘Black (= single diamond)’ trails. The strap inside to secure the charger would work very well for that, but most riders probably won’t carry their charger…. However, it’s also brilliant for securing other things like a shock pump and tyre pump or whatever. It has a completely waterproof cover in its own pocket at the base of the sack which provides the same protection as similar systems on expedition rucksacks. Not submersible then! My battery is waterproof and I would advise purchasers to check their batteries for that. Remember, many will use a water bladder inside the pack: they can leak and in a crash, rupture. My battery would be fine and my spare jumper, socks, gloves and woolly hat for freezing conditions on longer rides are always in a plastic bag, whatever sack I’m using. The bag is roomy. It has more than enough space for my 2000ml water bladder and whilst not tested by me, I would predict it could take a 3000ml bladder. The actual rated size will be on the Evoc website. This bag has enough storage space for a big ride and, if you wanted to use a lightweight bivvy bag, a water filter and ate meals at shops/pubs/coffee shops, I think you could use it for a two day adventure. There’s attachment points to strap lightweight things onto the outside, such as a tarp and a bivvy bag in waterproof packs. The inside has room for dry clothes (maybe not plus trousers) and the helmet attachment pocket thingy will secure a winter-weight cycling waterproof or a dry winter weight jumper or layers in a ‘dry-sac’.So, not just the best e-MTB adventure pack available at any price, but ideal for a very long day in poor weather or a two-season 2 day trip using ‘shops/pubs/etc’ to eat.

So far so good. 5 big full days out in lakes in hot weather.Has replaced a camelback mule which had 15 years of abuse before zips died.Very comfortable and have forgotten is on. Properly fitted and with straps secured it hugs the body and stayed fully in place on long steep technical descents or over some tabletops on the bike park.Air flow seems to work really well as not noticed overheating on my back.Build quality seems really good. Has been dry rides with occasional puddles and just needed wipe down with wet cloth. Looks like stitching is solid and zips strong. Not come off yet but seems tear resistant.Pockets well thought out. I have big day out kit loaded and left in one pocket, tools pump tube light jacket etc and loads of space for a pack upEnduro Helmet holder good for those rides where is just long fire road climb to start.Only slight neg is bladder. I’m using my old camelback. Is a bit of a faff to feed mouthpiece and tube in so puts you off taking it out for filling / cleaning. It’s tight to right shoulder strap so you have to think about getting it on the move as is by side of neck and pointing back. Not a game changer.Back protector is a big positive. Known one broken back from a fall where hard sharp edge from contents has impacted in the spine.

An extremely well-made product which is comfortable and stable, even with a heavy load, and with an unusual but very nice colour scheme. It has lots of storage options and features and the built-in back protector is good to have. The ONLY bad point I have found is the stupid routing of a hydration bladder tube through the bottom of the bag. This means the tube has to go all the way down to the bottom then all the way up to your mouth, which is almost impossible for a standard length of tube to reach comfortably! If you route it upwards through the gap between the zip pullers instead, any movement of the tube opens the main zip a little, allowing rain to enter if you have not put the included rain cover over the bag.For such a well thought out bag it seems strange that they have made this basic error with the design. However, this is just a small issue, and overall, despite being very expensive I am very pleased that I chose this bag.

This is an excellently produced piece of kit. Well made, generally well thought out, pockets for just about everything I'll ever need on a day's cycle. It fits like a dream too - for me. But this is where I've dropped it a star. The waist strap is not that generous in length and almost at its limit for me, and may not be long enough to do up for those of a larger build. It's possibly the one flaw in the design and a consistent flaw across all cycle kit for those of us who are not slim!

If you are carrying a spare bike battery then this Is the rucksack to buy. It is designed specifically for this task. Batteries are heavy and you don’t want them moving around. This keeps them secure. It also has a spine protector in case you fall off your bike. Feels like a quality product. Only thing I didn’t like was the limited range of colours. There is only a choice of two (yellow or black). A minor point really but an excellent product and worth the money

Excellent pack , I usually go for a smaller pack but I wanted to carry a spare battery , feels great when fully loaded - fantastic quality all round , battery compartment excellent , Bosch power tube 500 fits with ease & 625 being only 7cm longer will also fit easily, expensive but very happy with it - also the yellow looks great ???

Happy with the bag but it doesn't have the hydration pack. At this price I'm not happy having to buy this separately.
