This is a good sized cake box. You can put a cake directly on the base, and there are portion guides on it. Cakes stayed fresh for a good few days, (certainly as long as they last in our house).The only downside to this product is that the clips on the lid are not strong enough to carry the box by the handle. You would need hold the box by the base to to avoid a broken cake all over the floor!

there is a reason as to why its called "basic" no more clues there! but hey! it does the job! i cant say i would be wanting to pick it up by the handle to often. the securing clips that hold the cover to the base, don't look as if they want to carry to much weight! the last thing i need is my victoria's all over the kitchen floor, so be a little weary. otherwise, like i said! it does the job!

Excellent value for money. Feels very robust, looks very professional. I bought it for a birthday cake I was making for someone else so they could take it home with them safely. At the price I thought I would be happy to just let them keep it but its so sturdy and useful (I bake quite often) that I think I might try to get this one back as soon as they've finished the cake of course!

Bought the Emsa cake Keeper as i needed something to keep my homemade cake in that i could easily get to to cut into. The base plate is made of durable plastic and the lid dome (clear plastic) easily clips onto it. There is also a handle on top if you need to carry it. It was a bit bigger than i had expected but that isn't a bad thing. Very pleased with this purchase.

I was looking for something to transport a cake that I was going to make for a friend's lunch. It needed to also be able to fit inside a fridge.This one seemed secure to hold a cake and having tried it out today - it works well!A simple "click in" lid locks and hold into place and it's very light to carry around. Nice big size to accommodate most cake sizes.

There are so many cake carriers on the market and such a wide price range that choice is difficult. I wanted one that did the job, not one for decorative or display purposes. This is the best priced, very large but not heavy, is of a good height so that a cake is not going to be damaged, and clicks together securely.An excellent buy and highly recommended.

This is a very sturdy box, however it won't take a tall cake, and the lid is lower in the middle to allow for the handle. Unfortunately this then leaves the cake looking like it has sunken in the middle. Also you can't use both sides of the base, which would be useful for taller cakes. I only discovered this recently do I can't return it now.

We bought this to help our daughter who needed to take ingredients into school for cookery and to be able to bring back the finished product. It allowed all the ingredients to be packed into it and once these were re-created and cooked into the final products these could be successfully transported home without damage. Perfect!

I love this cake container so much that when I lost one I bought another one exactly the same. The container is big enough for a larger size cake and keeps it fresh. The lid clips on securely to the base and the handle is useful.I highly recommend this product.

Great item. A good size for large cakes which is what I wanted it for. Catches to secure the lid might be a bit flimsy but I probably wouldn't carry using the handle alone. Would place a hand underneath for added safety. All in all a good buy.

This is a handy item to have in your kitchen. Stores even the largest gateaux and I have used it for transporting picnic sandwiches! Only downside is its size as it takes up valuable shelf space, however it's usefulness out weighs this.

Needed this large cake box for a special cake that I had to bake, this product met all expectations and was nice and sturdy to take a classic fruit cake. Nice and easy to transport so met all expectations, very satisfied.

This is great for keeping your newly baked cakes fresh, they only problem is that it is a little on the large side for transporting and storing, but saying that, its sturdy easy to wash, I just need a bigger kitchen!!

Nice and wide, can get plenty of cake in here! Not as tall as pic looks, but can fit a 2 or 3 tier cake easily. Have had no problem with the catches but not silly enough to carry heavy cake around by the tiny handle
