I got mine from a local sewing machine shop which meant I was able to try it out before I bought it, I was originally going to go for a Bernina 700D as they are considered to be the best in that range of domestic overlockers and I had used my friends which was good. I took some fabric with me to test as I've been using some 4 way stretch fleece which is a pig to sew and my old overlocker which was a Frister Rossman couldn't hack it, in fact it had packed in altogether and I would suggest avoiding that brand at all costs. The Bernina couldn't handle the fleece in the shop initially and was dropping stitches all over the place until the man replaced the needles with ballpoints.

Efficient delivery service by carriers. This machine runs like a dream. Overlockers are notorious for being difficult to thread but I found this easy - only needed to follow the booklet first time and have been able to thread without booklet since. I would say they are fiddly to thread rather than difficult or complicated - this one is also colour coded through tension wheels and then through each hoop/eye. I already have an Elna sewing machine (which has served me well for almost 30 years) so had no hesitation in choosing an Elna - I'm not disappointed! :)

My first overlocker and I'm pretty pleased with it. Have made a dozen cushions and a cover for the machine so far. Threading the lower looper is easy enough and not the headache I thought it would be.The cutting knife window is useful and the display with all the stitch settings is just fab, no need to get the manual out when changing stitch.Can't think of any negatives except perhaps the threading diagrams in the manual could be better and the trouble shooting chapter is is very basic.

Surprise present for my wife who has always used Elna sewing machines and swears by them.This overlocker continues the tradition of being an idiotproof yet highly functional piece of machinery.Initially the threading was intimidating but after a couple of attempts it is actually quite straight forward. Top seller, very helpful, quick delivery pleased before my item arrived felt I would have back up if I had any problems.When the machine arrived it was well packed & a dream to use. so simple Elna does it again! I have a Elna sewing machine which I have had for years a real work horse. I also have the iron press which I love, its a bit fiddly for shirts but for bedding its second to none.

Great machine ! I’m a newbie with sergers and this one is so easy to learn and understand! Also great rapport with the reseller that was very kind when I had questions or any request regarding the delivery
