Firstly, the Argos reservation system deserves praise for efficiency and speed, also personal service once I arrived in the store. My 1 disappointment thus far is that the DVD supplied with my m/c is corrupted, therefore useless and necessitating reading the manual which, for a new to Brother user as I am requires re-reading some subjects + trial and error, e.g. using the auto needle threader. I'm sure that having a useable DVD would simplify and save time here. To date, my sewing machine has performed well on a variety of fabrics of different weights and characteristics, e.g. stretch and non-stretch, synthetic and natural, mostly on catching up with repair jobs which provided opportunities for getting to know my m/c.Changing stitches and making adjustments to allow for different width, length and tension settings required is a doddle. I have no doubt about this m/c's abilities and am enjoying using it.

I'm totally in love with this machine. As I have never used a sewing machine before I found the dvd very useful, it gives me all the tips I need to get started. Also because as it is digital, when something goes wrong it lets you know exactly what the problem is so you can rectify the problem, with a none digital machine you would have to figure the problem for yourself. the manual is very useful, tells you how to use the machine, lists all the stitches and what materials they work best with and gives sewing hints and tips. you have the choice of either using a pedal or you can stitch at the touch of a button. there's also a button for the back up stitching and a button to lower and raise the needle.it's so simple to use. Comes with all the accessories you need too. I'm very happy with my purchase and very pleased I went with a digital machine, I think it's necessary for beginners

Overall very pleased with the machine and ease of use especially the automatic needle threading and selecting the various stitches - once the stitch has been selected it tells you which foot/presser to use. Very impressed with the stitch quality and the quietness of the machine in operation. A little on the light side - well compared with my old machine of 39 years but still steady in use. The downside is the position of the thread cutter which is on the left of the machine instead of at the rear of the needle (I am getting used to this though) and the brightness of the lights on the work area which are very poor - personally I would have liked a brighter light.Apart from that I'm very happy with the machine particularly if it serves me as long as my old machine.

Dear ArgosI am very happy with the product I recieved, the best thing about it , was how quickly it arrived, it had been dilivered after a day or two of me ordering it. I can't say the same about other purchases I ordered from other online stores which took over a Period of a week or two to come so that is one reason why I was so happy with my purchase. Another reason was that the product it self which was a sewing machine was very good. It was very helpful and easy to use. The product has a garentee which i am happy about. overall I am very happy I purchased this product from Argos. One thing i would change would be the covering of the machine which in my point of view not very good but otherthan that it is a good item.

havant really used it much only to try it out hope to use it more in the future . given 4 stars due for this reason only otherwise it probably deserves 5 stars. it has a good selection of stitches to choose from and i love the needle threader great invention saves time and squinting lol would advise anyone thinking of getting a machine to get one with this function very usefull. my other machine didant have an automatic needle threader and it did get frustrating trying to thread the needle at times but with this machine i dont have to worry .

After watching a demonstration of a sewing machin in action I was hooked and wanted one of my own, for I could see the potential for creative as well as practical uses for it. After hours on the Internet reading reviews and comparing the pros and cons I opted for this machine, and I'm glad I did. I've never done any sewing before save for the odd button and stich. But now, with this machine I want to make covers or this and that, and it's got so many great features that can be used creatively in a arty kind of way. Thoroughly recommended..

I bought this as a replacement for an old metal singer I have, which was passed down from my granny. It was extremely heavy and the wires were getting a bit old. The Brother sewing machine is excellent. It is fairly easy to carry long distances, and very easy just to move around the house. I am impressed with the range of stitches and the instructions were easy to follow for changing around the presser feet and setting up for button holes. Definitely worth spending a little more than choosing any cheap standard sewing machine.

I needed a replacement for my 40 year old Brother and was very dubious about modern plastic sewing machines. I chose this particular model for the extension table and number of needle positions (3). I have been very pleased to find that the machine operates smoothly, quietly and has the added bonus of many embroidery stitches.I did manage to break 2 needles whilst sewing through buckrum curtain headings but the motor coped well. All in all a nice piece of kit that I'd recommend for both beginners and more advanced users.

I actually bought this as a christmas present for my Dad but we both tried it out over the holidays.I found this sewing maching easy to use and very controllable. The speed control foot ensures you can use it a low speeds. There are a huge range of different stiches with a number of different feet for those. The button hole attachment is ingenious measuring the size of the button and creating the size of the opening automatically. It is easy to thread and has an integral needle threader.I would recommend it.

Having previously used Brother sewing machines I felt optimistic on purchasing the BROTHER BC-2100 COMPUTER.The DVD is a great help also the printed Operation Manual for quick reference for the very wide range of operations available. The needle threader is a time saver as is the ease of selecting the many stitches including variations to the three different button holes. The error messaging serves to alert an operator mistake also.I expect to get many, many happy and useful hours with this machine.

Upgraded my old Brother sewing machine, which was a hefty bit of kit, to this model. I had no clue how to do button holes but this machine has made it simple and I didn't need to read the manual either to get the hang of it...win. Everything from my older machine fits this one except the bobbins, this one tends to use a different depth. It also has three varying speed settings controlled by a flick of a switch, very handy when doing quilting or sewing on patches etc.Very pleased with my machine.

After trying to get a job done making metres of bunting for our sons wedding with my previous machine , I decided that I needed a better machine . I made more bunting in one afternoon than all the days that I had done previously put together. It comes with a DVD and book which explains the basics from threading the machine, bobbin to putting in button holes and lots of different stitches It is about half the weight of my old one comes with useful accessories , great for inexperienced/experienced

I like the 3-speed control lever as well as the start/stop button on the machine, it means you can choose not to use the included foot controller. The LED display panel is very good, it even tells you what presser foot to use. It handles denims/jeans okay, but like most home machines, the inside extra thick denim seam can be a problem. It has the best instruction book ever, and an instructional DVD. It has a free-arm facility for sleeves and trouser legs, and a top loading bobbin. Good machine.

This is an upgrade machine for me as I have also got a Brother LS14. I wanted something with a wider variety of stiches and feeder dogs that could be dropped. It's quieter than my other machine, however that was never an issue. There is a reasonable selection of feet with it and other bits and bobs. I am extremely happy with my new machine, the best bit is that if anything is amiss with the machine it won't allow you to sew.Wonderful for beginners like me or more seasoned sewers alike.

I bought this machine as my arthritis has got progressively worse in my arms and legs. The ability to use this sewing machine with/without a foot peddle and the slide speed adjustment has greatly increased the control I have. It is very light and so simple to set up. The one step buttonhole feature is accurate and easy to use, with a few fancy stitches available it is great machine. It comes with a extended table and plenty of attachments. Overall a super sewing machine that is a joy to use.
