Brother always manufacture highly reliable products and the FS100 is the latest Brother product to be added to my craft room family.Firstly the machine was delivered promptly. Secondly brilliantly packaged and safe so all the high spec contents were properly protected. The machine set up and lay out is intuitive - really straight forward to use and produce excellent stitches-I haven't tried the whole range yet but know they will be the typical high standard of all Brother machines. First Class!

As I am new to sewing, I found the dvd to be both informative and easy to follow, although initially I had not got the knack of using the needle threader lever, consequently I re-watched the dvd for clarity.Before attempting to sew any project, I decided that I would try out all the various stitches, and loved the results, but please be aware that you will use a lot of cotton.That way, I also got used to changing the foot as indicated on the operation panel.I’m happy with my purchase.

I am a textile art graduate and used very expensive bernina machines at uni, this machine so far has lived up to the quality and ease of use of them! I havent yet free machined so can't comment on that, the lettering is very small but all in all im so pleased with my choice. It is a great machine for the price!! It is very easy to set up and is running like a dream, good choice for beginners right through to the more experienced user!

Bought this for my mrs as her sowing machine packed up, she is very pleased with its performance and vast choice of programmable stitches the machine has, it seems simple enough to use and program overall she rated it 9/10, she said it would of been a full 10 but on lighter weight garments the straight stitch sometimes appears slightly jaggered but like I previously mentioned this is only on light materials I.e Lycra etc.

I love this sewing machine.Im a newbie so definitely need the speed control switch that limits the foot pedal.Its lightweight which is handy when your doing lessons like myself and have to transport it.Comes with wide table for quilting.Very impressed. A large amount of money to pay out but i definitely think you get what you pay for. Hopefully it will last me years. A good investment to have.

Love top bobbin threading system. Top threading more fiddly than old machine. Getting used to automatic threader. Very much a knack. I like computerised buttons for needle position and reverse. I haven't tried the other features yet. Stitch tension is good. Accompanying dvd very useful. Also like the table which gives a larger working area than previous machine and also the hard cover.

I did not have much experience of using a sewing machine when I bought it but wanted to buy something that would give me more to learn to as I get more practice. this machine is easy to use for beginners with its easy functions and will provide you with more experienced options as well as you become more practiced. Perfect.

Amazing machine! I upgraded from the brother ls14 to this machine. It's so amazing to use. I'm so happy with my decision to buy it. I have found it really easy to get to grips with, I was a bit worried at first but I read the manual and looked online too and I soon got to grips with it. It's a fantastic upgrade .

The enclosed DVD with the machine was very helpful in setting up the machine and getting it running. It can be followed step by step and was most useful. I am very pleased with the machine, Biggest problem was trying to register online for the 3 year guarantee.

Perfect machine for beginners or if you have been using one for years, the speed is fabulous, anything from very slow stitch by stitch to super fast.Great amount of different stitches and the screen tells you what foot you need for the stitch you have chosen.

This machine is a good all rounder! Easy to set up and use complete with a dvd to show you its many features. I use it for quilting and so far, perfection. I would definitely recommend it for the non- experts as well as the accomplished .

Having used the same machine for the last 30 years I was a little nervous. Icouldn't quite understand the booklet at first for threading but the DVDs is so easy to follow. I'm loving it and have already bused a wide range of stitches

its has some great stitches it can even thread itself by pushing down a button but i thread it myself. fitting the bobbin is a doddle so much easier and the top thread is too. All in all I'm glad i bought this.

This sewing machine does everything I needIt's very easy to understand and easy to useThe extra table is a mustI was going to buy a carry bag for it but there was no need as it has it's own hard cover

Wanted to replace my old lightweight Singer and chose this because of the features and having done my research online. So far, I'm very pleased with it. I found the instructional DVD very helpful.
