As a novice , l thought this machine looked like it would be just the job for my needs has different stitches , easy too thread , instruction book easy to understand & you can check online "how too use 'the extension table is a bit tight takes a bit of wiggling to get off ,the machine is lightweight too carry, does not come with a cover , which is a shame , but you can buy different ones on -line .I've tried it on a couple of small things now I'm trying an envelope cushion cover..

I was unsure about buying this without being able to see i in the "flesh", but it turns out to be a good, basic machine. I was previously given a cheap (£50) "mini" machine, which was awful, it was like a kid's toy with a tiny foot pedal. Whilst this is obviously not a high end, professional machine, it is very good for simple dress making. The tension is adjustable on the bobbin, it's easy to set up and use, and feels fairly robust. For a "normal" user, I can't fault it.

Bought this little machine mainly to take up trousers as fed up of using wonder web and hand stitching. Never used a sewing machine before , so I was a bit uncertain . However , the instructions were easy to follow and it was easier to set up than what I had anticipated. The most difficult part was mastering the spool and threading it through the machine ! Wouldn't mind trying to make something to be honest as I actually enjoyed using it. I would recommend this machine .

Good starter Sewing Machine, solidly built, compact in size and easy to thread. The stitch length and width are not adjustable, but you can complete button holes with the Machine. The machine is very easy to thread. You will be able to sew garments with the light fabrics, but it is not suitable for heavy fabrics such as leather and denim. Additional presser feet can be added - so is suitable to purchase if you want to sew with stretch fabric.

Ive been dreaming about it for so long and finally I have it :):):).Its exactly how imagined: easy to use, but not considered as a cheap useless version. It have enough popular features intuitive interface so even pro could work on it with pleasure. Comparing to the price we got a brand new sewing machine easy to use for beginners for reasonable price. I highly recommend this item, it was my best choice in a past 2 years.Greg :)

Bearing in mind I am a bloke with absolutely no experience at all, after reading the instruction book I found the machine very easy to set up and use. I bought the machine to use velcro instead of buttons on my autistic grandsons shirts as he has difficulty with buttons. The machine did this with no difficulty whatsoever, I was also impressed with all the other things it can do and would have no problem recommending it to anyone.

The product is great. Never used a sewing machine before and it really is quite straight forward to get started. My only issue is that when I went to collect there were too many items coming down the belt and not enough staff getting items to their customers. I heard more than one person complaining about the long wait. The staff were great though but under too much strain at that point.

I was absolutely amazed at the speed of which my order was processed, I placed the order on a Sunday evening and was told there wasn't one in stock , however I placed the order and was surprised when I had a phone call Monday morning at 8-30 am to be told my sewing machine was in store awaiting collection. A truly amazing service Very well done Argos .

I work as a nurse and bought this so I can make my own masks. The removable table is tricky to remove at first. The diagram on the brochure is different to the actual unit. Otherwise, it is a good piece of machine. Quiet to operate and the design is sleek. My husband never used a sewing machine but he finds this Singer sewing machine very easy to use.

When my 46 year old sewing machine finally broke down, I was in the middle of sewing curtains. The new machine did what it said on the tin - simple basic sewing which was what was needed. Pleased with the result. Just watch the oil around the needle area on set up - I used an old piece of material to sew a few short lengths and this soon dispersed.

My wife has always had a sewing machine, the last one about 15 years ago. It lasted well but time for a upgrade. So she went for the Singer and for the money it's very good, she's learning about it and thinks it is a good machine for her needs. One thing I have noticed is while using it,It is so quiet. All in all a good bit of kit.

A lovely light weight machine. I am showing my daughter how to use it and hopefully she will be making her own dresses soon. I'm so pleased with it i would recommend it everyone that likes to sew. Easy to use, threading and filling shuttle easy and no probs at all. Tension good and easy to do.. happy bunny....

I've been wanting to get a sewing machine since quite a while. This one was at a really good price, especially for a Singer. It is super easy to use and really efficient. Doesn't take up much space so perfect to put away at home when not needed and just as easy to get back out for use. Really pleased with it.

I bought this to replace my old machine as I enjoy making curtains, blinds etc. It took me a while to understand how to thread it initially, but now I'm used to it and would recommend for all basic sewing. Its sews really well and is so light to lift and small for easy storage. Great for the money.

Having previously owned a Singer sewing machine which had given me good service, I decided to replace it with a similar make.This one is smaller and lighter than my old model, and performs the basic tasks I want it for, without having any complicated features .It is good value for money
