Well, the packaging is unusual and definitely unique - there's a cut out on the tube which you "pump" to disperse the product - nevertheless, the lipstick itself is rather good.Extreme Pink no. 01 is a blue toned, bright mulberry purple shade, and as the name suggests, is bright, so won't be for everyone. For me though, this is one of my favourite types of lipstick shades - the blue based pinks definitely suit my paler skin tone and I enjoy wearing them.It took me a couple of minutes initially to figure out how to open and use the lipstick.It has the typical classic Elizabeth Arden gold writing on the tube and a classy black lid which simply pulls off with a click. Inside it actually looks like a pen.However the tip is a firm, curved, white doe foot style applicator. It's rather large too. I wasn't sure whether it was too large, however on first use it's actually a good fit for my lips. A simple push up on the groove dispensers a small squirt of product onto the applicator tip.I found that one full pump was more than enough for my first application, to coat my top lip and this spread out nicely in a very fine layer. The applicator tip allowed very precise application, particularly around the cupid's bow. It also let me fill in my lips quickly due to its larger size. I wasn't sure whether this lipstick would dry down, however it didn't dry as it has a slightly glossy finish with a hint of subtle silver shimmer. It left a slightly tacky effect, it is a gloss after all. It didn't flake, crack or feather into my lips. It isn't the glossiest lipstick ever; it's just subtle enough that it adds a nice shine to your lips. I wore it for several hours while drinking and had a meal - I was pleasantly surprised to find that even though the gloss was no longer particularly evident, the colour was still on my lips and I didn't feel the need to touch it up. It did transfer a tiny bit onto a couple of top teeth though, but a quick wipe got rid of that and it didn't happen again.It felt really nice on my lips, went on smoothly and it didn't dry them out at all and it was easily removed when I got home with an oil-based makeup remover. I got the impression it wouldn't be removable with simple make-up wipes, but I don't personally use those.I do really like this liquid lipstick, and even though it's not the most long lasting lipstick I've ever had, I think it will be perfect for a few hours wear.

I wasn't expecting a lot from this liquid lip but was pleasantly surprised. The packaging is lovely as most Elizabeth Arden products are but when I opened it and looked at the lip pen I was surprised. It took me a couple of seconds to realise the application is a little different and you have to slide the groove down that is placed on the front which dispenses the lip colour on to a little pad type applicator.Initially you have to click the pen a few times but once the pen starts to dispense one click seems to dispense enough to cover all my lips. The application was a lot easier than I expected and I was really impressed with how this went on.The colour itself is really bright and vibrant and very glossy too.I think if you like a really bright and bold colour two coats might be better but for me one was sufficient.Its a little tacky on the lips but it's what I have come to expect from products like this. What also surprised me was how long this lasted. I managed to eat and drink throughout my work day and although maybe not quite as glossy the colour remained firm even after a good 8 hour day.I actually think the price point is pretty decent considering the brand the only thing I cannot comment on is how long these dispensers last. I think the only risk for these is that these little contraptions have more chance of breaking as opposed to the standard lip colours. Overall a lovely product and I would definitely purchase again.

Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Bold Liquid Lipstick is now one of my favourite lippies as it provides a lovely coverage which lasts with the bonus I was able to apply as little or as much I want, depending on the look or coverage I require or the look I want for the occasion. It has a lovely glossy finish which can be reduced by quickly blotting with a clean tissue, I did notice when I blotted the lipstick it did last longer throughout the day.The actual applicator has a sponge tip and the lipstick is dispensed using a press button motion, I would advise pressing lightly as the lipstick does come out of applicator quite fast and it really is the case of "a little going a long way".The lipstickhas a thick rich creamy texture which was a pleasure to apply on to my lips and with the actual applicator having a pen-shaped barrel it was easy to apply as I was able to go around my lips carefully including the cupids bow without the need of a lip brush or other applicator.I loved the fact that the colour lasted, though after a meal I did need to reapply which was very easy to do. I would happily purchase this lipstick again as it is a top-quality lipstick and as always with Elizabeth Arden, everything about it makes it a pleasure to use.Happy to recommend.?????

This very vividly-coloured liquid lipstick has an unusual style of dispenser. The tube is similar in dimensions, weight and balance to holding a pen. The lip colour pumps through the tube when you push forward a sprung-loaded switch (it automatically snaps back). After the first use (which takes about 5-6 flicks of this switch to get the colour coming through from the tube to the applicator end) a single flick of this switch provides enough colour to give strong coverage to one lip. The colour applies very easily, having a creamy texture that flows well. The sponge applicator end though larger than most I've used is well shaped to allow the colour to be applied evenly and neatly. Once dry,the lip colour feels light (without the heaviness of a regular lipstick) and lasts well. The vivid pink is very bright and does look in real life as it does on screen.

Lovely colour a shocking bright pink that gives your lips the wow factor. It really feels like you are using a luxury item when using this. For me I had to have a few goes to get it right. The item looks classy even if a bit difficult to phatham out how to get it to work at first. Once that sorted I had to give it two coat for an effect that lasted all day. Seemed to have good staying power which surprised me as was thinking could a product so good in every other way looking classy. Nice rich colour, seems like an item that will not dry out easily be as good with staying power but it did. Plus no feathering in outer corners of lips or bleeding.I think the issue could be shade you really have to see it in real life to get the exact idea of shade and if it suits you. If not a costly mistake.

Oh wow this is just amazing! Bought on special but I'd have been happy with full retail price for this, lovely packaging and the lip colour tube is really high quality as would be expected for this high end brand.Nice applicator sponge, this is a dark shade so I think lip liner required unless you are really good at being precise, which I am not!Its much darker than what I would wear daily and for me more of a night time or special occasion shade.Really long lasting pigment in this, I tried it on my arm and wiped it off with a tissue but the colour had transferred to my skin, so will last on lips!I would love this in some of the lighter nude type shades so I will be keeping my eyes open forany deals in them.Really lovely high end lip colour

A striking and bright lipstick that suits my olive skin tone and brings my face to life, I love it!I like the sponge applicator but be careful not to press the button too hard or you’ll get excess liquid! It took me a while to figure out you have to push it up as opposed to actually push the button but once I had it figured, it was simple to use!The packaging feels lightweight and sleek and I like how you can see the bright colour against the black packaging.The texture of the lipstick also feels light and not too heavy on the lips. It has lovely shine with a creamy texture and is so easy to apply. It lasted well and when it started coming off, didn’t dry my lips like other brands I’ve used.A great lipstick by Elizabeth Arden.

Very stylish packaging in a presentation I’ve not come across before. It’s like a pen, with a curved shaped sponge tip. Took us a while to figure out how to get the lip gloss flowing, there’s a sort of cut-out collar that you pump to get the flow going. Takes a few pumps initially to get it go8ng but then the flow is smooth and one pump is likely to be enough for one application.Really highly pigmented with a glossy finish. Not drying, it felt soft and smooth though a little tacky, stays on well too, lasted through tea and biscuits but not lunch, the colour in this case was a little too pink for me, but colour aside,I love the design and quality of it as a product and will definitely be trying it in other colours

This really is a very strong shocking pink and it's ideal for anyone with lovely white teeth. The tube has a central pump action that pushes the thick lip colour up to the shaped sponge applicator. Don't pump it too hard or the colour will ooze out too much. It's a nice applicator that smooths the colour over the lips. It is a strong shocking pink and would look great with a tan. Even when I wiped the colour off it stained my lips a little which is no bad thing as it means the colour will stay a little longer than when transferring it onto cups and glasses and means fewer touch-ups. It also left my lips feeling nice and moisturised.Good strong pink!

Exreme pink is what it says a bright mid pink colour, has quite a lot of blue/purple tones.The dispenser reminds me of shoe polish! A cream that you have to push up from the base onto the foam dispenser. This makes the lip colour between turn up lipstick and lip gloss in consistency. Whist the colour stays pretty well, the glossy part comes off quite easily.The ingredients are numerous 28 plus a list of possible colours. There are some I've never heard of tridecyl trimellitane, tribehenin, disteardimonium hectorite?? No idea if there are any product derived from animals or ingredients to be avoided if you have sensitive skin

My wife tells me this is a liquid lipstick with an unusual format - pull off the top, then push up the side lever to pump lipstick into the applicator. For the first use you may need to prime the pump a few times, but after that just one click should be enough for a full application. The lipstick is easy to apply with a clean line, and you can use a second coat for extra intense colour. The finish is very glossy and a little sticky, but it lasts well. The Extreme Pink shade is a bright pink with a slightly blue hue, looks great on those with fair colouring.

Wow, well done Elizabeth Arden! This lipstick is fantastic. One small click of the pen and you have enough product to cover your entire lip area.I love the spongy precise applicator, you can go from a light coverage to full coverage depending on your mood or the occasion.A big five stars for this product, I really like it, in fact, I've already gone and purchased another one in red - love it AND have purchased two others for birthday presents. Fabulous five stars without a doubt.

I have really been Impressed with this lipstick.Great pigmented colour - I tested a superb shade of rich , bright pink - lots of compliments!The applicator is a sponge - which is excellent for precision application - just a quick push up on the holder and a small amount of liquid gloss is ready to be applied.initially the lipstick feels a little sticky but it dries quickly and lasts well.The holder is black and looks classy.Highly recommended product - I will buy again.

It takes a while to get the knack of not overdoing it with the sort of switch which dispenses the product into the sponge, as I find that even half a "flick" of the switch is more than needed. That said, I absolutely love the formula and the colour, to the point where I have bought others from this particular line by Elizabeth Arden. The lipstick goes on richly and evenly and leaves my lips looking beautiful and feeling pampered as it doesn't dry my skin out or get sticky/tacky.

I'm really liking this a lot. My only real concern is how long will it last...it's hard to tell with packaging of make up.It is rather unusual and you push a pump at the bottom and colour goes into the sponge applicator.The shade I received is a lovely pale pink which I adore...it's subtle but bold enough to see well...and just really pretty colour.It applies well...smoothly and the application from the sponge tip is good.The scent is vanilla to me - really yummy smelling !
