Looks exactly like the original and works as well. It's an interesting fact that while Dyson are keen to advertise the fact that 'other cleaners lose suction' as the bag or filter blocks, they fail to point out that Dysons lose suction badly unless this fine filter is cleaned regularly - it really has to be more like once a month than once a year (depending on use)! They are washable, but never put one back wet - I once put a damp one back in and the Dyson packed up. Fortunately it came back to life after thorough drying out in a cupboard with a dehumidifier in. Keep two on the go, so you can swop without delay and leave one to dry. When removed they look pretty clean, but the dirt is on the inside.

I bought this filter a couple of months ago after reading that the filter may be the reason that my 'dyson V6 absolute' was continually cutting out while I was using it. When the original filter was totally removed, the hoover was working as normal but despite washing it and it appearing to be very clean, every time I tried to use my Dyson with the filter in place it would continually cut out. Since fitting this filter however, my Dyson has worked without incident. Absolutely delighted with this product and will probably buy another, if and when required.

Without this filter the Dyson loses its suction. The filter top broke so we lost almost all suction. It breaks too easily. It's annoying. So we had to replace the filter. It's another feature of the Dyson made of cheap plastic. We have had problems with our Dyson costing £400. It is supposed to cope with dog hairs but clogs up far too easily. We now have to contact Dyson because the dirt container won't open. The machine is shoddily made and would not recommend it. Don't let the attractive funky design and clever advertising fool you.

I bought this filter a couple months back after my last filter was clogged with dust and debris. As a result my ‘dyson v6 animal extra’ wouldn’t power on and continually cut out with no avail.I originally thought it was totally dead. However it would still power on when the filter was removed until I readded the filter.Since fitting this filter my Dyson has worked without a problem for months now. Over the moon is an understatement, i’ll buy another if I ever need to.

Like fitting a new Air Filter onto a car this brings the hand held back to life. Fits perfectly. Original is now washed and drying...Before washing, and whilst dry, I took it outside, turned it upside down and tapped the bottom 100 times to clear out trapped fluff/dust. There was a lot. Just like a car air filter, full of debris.Also <24hrs from order to fit. Very happy.

This filter fits my Dyson V8 cordless perfectly and the hoover functions just as well with this as with the original. It is exactly the same as the original. It is good to have a spare one, for since it must dry naturally the filter takes a while to dry and the hoover can be needed before the filter's ready. I consider this a very good buy and great value.

Bought this for my v6 animal as a replacement filter, I use my dyson v6 daily and came across a problem and realised I needed clean my filter (kept pulsating) I bought this as a direct replacement and now swap out and clean each filter alternatively, it’s easy to replace just pull the old filter out and put in this filter.

I bought a cordless dyson hoover two years ago (top of the range) The filters need washing to keep it up and working quite often, the filters don't work so good once they are washed. It pays to have a supply of the ones I purchased to keep things working satisfactorily.

This cheap filter fixed my very expensive Dyson. It now works perfectly again. I watched how to fix my Dyson on You Tube and the video recommended I replace this filter as well as showing me how to clean all filters correctly. It’s saved me having to buy a new hoover.

Wish they came with a spare when new,.. so much easier when you have a toddler in your life, it means you can be letting one dry while still able to quickly grab the dyson to tackle the rice crispies she decided she needed out of the cupboard to feed the dogs. :D

The value for money of this project is out of this world! It is exactly the same as anything else and works perfectly. I was dubious when I bought it but was pleasantly surprised when fitted to my Dyson machine. Will definitely buy a bit again if needed. Ideal

Thought I’d give this a go as I needed a backup filter for my Dyson while the main one was being washed. It’s absolutely identical. The vacuum performs exactly the same and I’ve saved myself a bit of money by not buying the official Dyson one. Happy customer!

I bought this as the genuine part was much more expensive. It works well and my Dyson v7 is a lot more powerful than before with a clean filter. Fit isn't quite as tight but this doesn't seem to be an issue as it gets pulled into place by the motor suction.

Works as expected. Perfect spare for when your other is drying as you need to leave a few days to fully dry when cleaned or you'll get a funny smell.Alot better than dysons high price for a spare when this does exactly the same job!

We keep a spare of these so that we can wash the other and give it plenty of time to dry. In truth, our filter seems to last an age before it gets dirty enough to need replacing, but having a spare seems a good idea and works well.
