I had to buy another of these for my Dyson, as the original had started to fall to pieces. Although they are expensive, it is still more convenient than messing about with bags. The original lasted about three years in a machine that is used every day.The only issue I have had with them is that after washing them, they need to be put back in the machine as soon as they are dry, otherwise they tend to take a different shape, which results in them being hard to get back in the machine and form a good seal.

It's amazing what a change of filter can achieve. I'm not a regular cleaner of the Dyson and to be honest it's a good few years old now (about 4). It started to become temperamental about 2 years after I bought it and I did everything I could think of, without spending money, to keep it working. In the end I changed the filter and bam, it works just fine. Wish I'd spent the money earlier, it would have saved a lot of cleaning battery connections.

Despite washing the filter as directed they do over time start to lose their effectiveness and to be honest if all it takes is a new filter say every twelve months I won't grumble.A genuine part this filter breathes new life into your handheld, in my case a DC34. It's really worth it to keep your dyson tip top. The filter itself is well made and does the job very well.

As described - fixed an issue on my DC31 where it kept turning itself on/off when the trigger was pulled - seems there's a microswitch that is usually pressed down by the filter - my model is >5 years old, and over time the filter gets squashed and then doesn't press down the microswitch - result if the on/off issue. New filter - now the DC31 runs as if it was new!

my dyson hand held was only bought 6 months ago but i use it every day. i felt that the power was dropping a little and despite cleaning the filter by handwashing every week i suspected that the filter was tiring. Having puchased this one, well packaged and promptly delivered, my hoover has picked up and is back to its fully functioning self!

Brilliant - exactly the same as the original filter. These filters take a few days to dry and to get the best performace out of these vacuums they need to be washed every 3 weeks at least. Now I can still use my vaccum without waiting for the filer to dry out. Great buy!

I bought this so that I could change the cleaner filter quickly and continue use. The dirty one is washed and dried at leisure. In this way I am never waiting for a washed filter to dry. Good buy, which halves the loading on each filter. A bit pricey

we were saying last night this needs a new filter washed the old one a few times and it has had it the diffence is so clear don`t think that washing it and washing it will be ok it`s like your good t shirt they all fade!!

Excellent results. Cleaning has to be timed to fit in with the re-charging. Can do downstairs, put on charge and then do the upstairs later. Versatile and no wires to trip over. Much better than conventional vacuum.

Perfect, well packed, arrived on time, easy to insert.Really pleased with the product, would recommend it. Having a spare means the cleaner is always available to use.

Bought this to save having to wait when washing the existing one. Fits perfectly v happy with it, now i dont have to stop using vac while waiting for filter to dry

this being a genuine Dyson part it fits as you would expect , comes in very handy as it allows me to wash one filter and can carry on using cleaner whilst it dries

Bought this to save having to wait when washing the existing one. Fits perfectly v happy with it, now i dont have to stop using vac while waiting FOR WASH.

As expected, from all Dyson filters. Bought this as a spare when the other filter has been washed. They do take some while to dry out after washing!

Very useful to have a spare filter though it seems expensive for what it is. Fits well and easy to wash by rinsing in cold water and leaving to dry.
