Ordered this direct from Amazon rather than a market place seller to try to ensure this was the genuine product.I wanted a genuine one and hopefully I have one. It looks like it's in the original box and it fits well. It has the same markings as the original one that came with my Dyson V6...though the pattern is slightly different which does raise alarm bells.As you can see from my pictures the tap icons seem to be filled in with white rather than the one that came with my Dyson V6 are actually only outlined in white with a see through picture of the tap.On the Dyson website they are still my original filter, with just the white outline rather than filled in.So, who knows,

For a spare filter to go with my V6 Animal Dyson. I find the filter takes a long time to dry after being rinsed that's even in summer so to have a spare I can alternate between will be much better.Maybe they should come with a spare from new maybe Mr Dyson?The new filter looks absolutely fine to me I see they have added a double lip to the seal when it's located in the dyson so a modification and improvement there.Pleased with quality and a v.good price compared to other prices I have seen around online, so thank you.Very pleased with service too, thank you.

There are quite a few reviews discussing if this is genuine Dyson or not. Ours came in a bag with the Dyson logo on it. The actual filter looks exactly as the one genuine Dyson. I think each person will have to draw their own conclusions.For us it looked an behaved exactly as the genuine.The wife wanted one so that she could wash one and have it drying whilst using the other one. For us we are very pleased with the filter. If we ever needed another one we would definitely buy this one again.I hope this helps with your choice to buy or not

Having wondered for years (yes, years) why my Dyson would emit a small cloud of dust from the rear vent (the motor vent) every time it was first used after emptying, I finally bit the bullet and ordered a new filter.Now I know why - it was the old (original Dyson) filter! Clearly not fitting properly after many years of use, and allowing a good chunk of dust to find its way into the motor.This replacement filter fits perfectly and has completely cured that problem without losing any suction. Perfect!

Have no idea where the original filter went, I expect it fell in the bin when I was emptying the vac. (it was always falling out). Horrified to find the filter missing and thought I had just wrecked an expensive vac. because the filters were not listed on Dyson's web site. Turned to Amazon. Problem sorted. Not sure if its an original part but realy don't care because it fits much better than the one that came with the vac.

I decided to buy the Dyson filter instead of the cheaper one because if you spend over £300 on the Hoover, you may as well. Definitely noticed a change, the suction was like brand new! I haven’t yet figured how to clean the old one but I will do instead of throwing it away, good to have two though. Top marks, can’t fault product or prompt delivery. Thank you.

It is definitely worth buying the genuine Dyson part. The only downside of having the cordless Dyson is it is so efficient the filters clog quite quickly and it goes into stop start mode to let you know the filter needs cleaning. They are easy to wash but drying can take some time so it is worth having a spare filter for a quick change.

This is simple..Genuine product. Fits tightly and does not fall out (unlike the old one)Works well.Hint:Check also how much hair etc. is wrapped around each end of the roller (not the obvious roller brushes) ... it is motor driven on the DC 59 and should be able to turn - albeit sluggishly - but must not be stuck jammed!

Thought our hoover was going to be beyond repair as it wasn't working properly (cutting out when used with any pressure on the carpet) cleaned it out but still problems and out of guarantee. 3 years old. Bought new filter and it works fine again so very pleased. The item was delivered within 48 hours so impressed as always.

Genuine spare with Dyson embossed. Fits V6 perfectly. Have washed the original filter monthly for the 18 months or so I have had my lovely Dyson and it doesn’t seem any the worse for wear, but now filter washing day can be any day without the worrying about it being out of action for 24hours waiting for filter to dry.

This filter fits the wonderful V6 Animal cordless vacuum cleaner I have recently bought (although it says it's for the DC59, an earlier model I think). I got the filter as a spare because the filter has to be washed at least once a month and takes about 24 hrs to dry, so vacuum cleaner can be useable during this time.

Some people questioned in reviews how this could be genuine when some came from Singapore but that is ok Dyson have a main factory there, feel free to check. It is unlikely to be genuine and made in UK. Filter arrived in 3 days as expected and is exactly the same as the one that came originally with my Animal V6.

Wonder why my dyson was'nt working properly after doing all what it says in the dyson booklet cleaning filter but the filter needs changing every now and again to keep it clear for good suction so I would recommend this filter to use in the model it is prescribed for it. The dyson works as good as new

Its a filter, can't really write a raving review (it's a filter!), but it does as you'd expect - made a huge difference to my Dyson, I'm not sure how you can tell if its genuine part, but that's what the label said and I certainly can't find any differences in the original for the cynics amongst you!

This does the job, but I don't think it's really genuine. The colour is a little different, and the wording is a different font on the replacement. It does the job well, and we purchased it so we have one to wash and one for the machine without worrying about drying times.
