Purchased a demo in Official Playstation 2 Magazine and it happened to have a demo of ten minutes of this game, I played it and had alot of fun with the three players that were available and thought that was FAR enough! Now i went and purchased the game and I have been so enthralled in this for days now, SO many playable characters when you first start playing and ive heard there are alot more to earn! so many different styles of attack and stratergy to use in this game makes the replay sky high, and the fact that the more you play Masou or Free mode the more your character gains so you dont waste any time in this game making your characters really strong, and the weapon system is great to,adds alot of variety as well as the item system! Now this game manages to display SO many characters on the screen at one point with NO slow damn whatsoever, although once you get kicking ass in the middle of 50+ characters it starts to make some characters dissappear (on purpose not hardware related) which can get alittle annoying but thats nothing to take against it, i mean, 50 full characters, have you ever seen that before?after a few hours of playing i finally noticied (how ignorant) a "2P MOSOU START" at the top of the screen, so that with a friend included made a whole new game, wow ive had so much fun playing that game now, "you take the left and ill take the right, we will outflank and surround them" and rather accidently doing the "special move" at the same time with your partner makes a super electrical kinda move which looks AMAZING!! and this is the only part where the game has problems, when you execute this, MASSES amount of graphics go off and it actually does slow the game down alittle, but do imagine that you are displaying an unholy pixel count of two players viewing a massive graphical attack on a split screen making millions of soldiers fly around you.And hence, I deem this an essential playstation 2 experience, that everyone must try, please..

i first bought this game about half a year ago, and since then i havent left it alone for any large length of time. it must be one of the few games that allows you to slaughter stupid amounts of people - ive managed around 1130 - with stupidly over-sized weaponry. it has a a fair bit to offer, mostly due to the fact that there a 41 different characters to choose from, some of which must be unlocked first, but there are some other choices too.first, is Musou mode - this is the main story mode, where you go through between 7 and 10 campaigns, depending on whether or not your chosen character is a leader of one of the three sides on offer (Shu, Wu or Wei)and at the end you get a nice little ending cutscene where people dance, drink and generally celebrate.then you have Free mode, which as it suggests allows you to pick a character and stage, and go and kill people. however, the important thing to note is that the character you use in Free mode will take any enhanced stats with him/her into Musou mode - a good way of making Musou mode a little easier.then you get Challenge mode, which consists of Time Attack and Endurance.Time Attck is simply kill the bad guys in the time limit, while Endurance is just kill as many as you can in the time limit. unfortunately, these have no bearing on the game proper, and are simply for some fun and self-testing, rather than any particular purpose.however, as much fun as it is, it does suffer from some rather pitiful voice acting. however, it never bothered me much, so anyone who enjoys this game as much as me shouldnt be bothered either.get it soon, it is a fantastic game.

I have played this game just once and I love it, even if your not into Japanese warriors battling it out, you'll love this game.I could some this game up in one word, "Carnage".Dynasty Warriors 3 remains one of the most thrillingly chaotic and remarkably unique fighting experiences on the PS2. Witnessing the blinding colour, flailing limbs and unbrided violence exhausts the eyes like no other fighter. In addition to the Musuo (Campaign mode) there's now a rather enjoyable time trial, where you have to kill 100 enemies as quickly as possible. If you have played Dynasty Warriors 2 you'll know that it only has 8 stages, but this game has 3 times that amount of stages, with 23 stages. Also the number of characters has changed to an outstanding 40+, but most of these have to be unlocked ( but its a nice challenge !)The most significant upgrade from Dynasty Warriors 2, has to be the AMAZINGLY FUN AND CHAOTIC 2 player mode. But the only downfall of this mode is the awkward camera angle.( BUT WHO CARES ABUOT THE CAMERA ANGLE WHEN YOUR IN THE MIDDLE OF A MASS DESTRUCTION!!!)This is my verdict of the game:Uppers:- Remarkable Scale!- Plenty of Missions!- 40+ Charaters available to Unlock- New Time Trial Mode.--------------------------------------------------Downers-Not that different from Dynasty warriors 2-Intrustive fogging(quite annoyin)-Confusingly chaotic at times!-Can become repetetiveGraphics = The numbers are impressive: 7/10Sound = A bit out of place Rock Music: 6/10Lifespan = Loadz of stuff to complete: 8/10

If you're a fan of the DW series or just enjoy the hack and slash genre then don't hesitate to pick up this game!Considering that it was made over 10 years ago, the graphics are pretty decent and the music is my favourite in the series. There are over 40 unlockable characters with their own unique movesets (unlike in later installments when KOEI got lazy cough DW6 cough) and it's very rewarding to watch the characters level up and get progressively stronger as well as attaining new weapons. Your bodyguards also increase in number and strength - to the point where they can easily take out enemy officers by themselves! Awh yiss. Also, in this game you can still shoot arrows and there's nothing more fun than irritating Lu Bu (from a safe distance mind)by slowly decreasing his health with multiple arrows when you're severely underleveled! If you're new to the series and decide to give it a go, then I'd recommend lowering the difficulty to "Easy" and sticking around your allied officers in battle. At least until you get your bearings and are able to level up your character a bit! :) Compared to the later installments in the series, this game can be quite unforgiving if you decide to wander out into the midst of the enemy when you're underleveled!

Dynasty Warriors 3 the sequal to DW2...but in DW3 you get the option of being able to play two-player cooperate mode and being able to choose from over 40 different characters..(which you have to unlock during the game).choose most of the characters from DW2 and new ones straight from the battle fields. My comment on this game is that it almost gives you an adrenilene rush when you manage to get your KO score soaring high and it makes you want to go even higher(my highest score from DW2 was about 1200 people Ko'd..)also if you enjoy fighting games which envolve weapons then this game is for you as you have nearly every weapon you can think of from the certain time the game is set in,so grab you weapon and rush out to the battle field to face your enemy's and change the fate of history as you battle hoards of enemy's at once....and overcome them in a historical battle.DW3 is a great game to have as it has improved graphics and better gameplay than it's predessor.final comment: buy now, ask questions later!

There are loads of games on the PS2, but there are a few gems such as MGS2 and FFX. These games are great for the masses, but DW3 has something that makes it different. It may not be as ground braking as the fore mentioned titles, but if you are looking for a game that takes you more than a few hours to complete - then consider buying this game. It is the only game I know that incorporates all of the 'good bits' from RPG's, combines it with some Japanese arts and then adds a variable strategy that is lacking from some landmark titles. And here comes the advantage of renting games before you buy - you don't have to spend your moolah until you know what it is worth. This game is something different that can genuinely keep you entertained for ages. I urge you to rent or borrow this game, play it with a mate, and decide for yourself - even if you are afraid of the genre - it can't hurt to spend a few quid to see what you could be missing out on.

Now, I wasnt a dynasty warriors fan...until this came out. Okay I liked the second dynasty warriors. The idea was brilliant, but the game lacked in real depth. This has, however, been for the most part, sorted. The new weapon system where you can now execute longer moves and combos, and the introduction of stat boosting items are two of the main additions to the game. Also, there are many more characters and levels than the second game. The length of the second was one of its other faults. And while in this game, there arent that many levels, all of them are absolutely brilliant, so the replay value is endless, trust me, because this is coming from a person who likes long games, but despite its lack of stages, its still my favourite.

This is like, the 3rd best game ever (1st and 2nd are Mario Kart: Double Dash and Counter Strike: Condition Zero). The best people are definately Lu Bu and Zhang Jiao and the worst are Dong Zhuo and Meng Huo. If you compare Dong Zhuo's stats and Lu Bu's stats, Lu Bu, in everything, is a little bit better. The people with the best musou (special attack) are Meng Huo (one thing good about him) and Zhang Jiao and the worst are Zhu Rong and Yuan Shao. The best unlockable people (ones you can use in free mode) are Guan Yu (has the same weapon as Lu Bu) and Xiahou Dun. I hope this helped you choose.

come on, this isnt a stupid sound track, it fits the game perfectly very creative as japanese/chinese metal is really good, and as for the retracing landscapes, well its good because if it wasnt like that it wouldnt be a battlefield, it would be like mario or sonic or something. the only downside to the game is LU BU, one swing and everyone is dead, too easythough DW2 was better, it was more individual, when u fought u actually fought, in DW3 u dont fight, just pick on pathetic peasants but ys i rate this game 10/10, its what some people have been looking for, for a very long time :)

The second game, i found was quite confusing at times and was quite a pain to play but when i got to play this beast of a game all my thoughts about how rubbish it was changed. I advise you buy this game. It'll have you playing for months, there's loads of characters to master, lots of levels to get and the musou modes are stunning. Don't delay or listen to others, BUY THIS GAME!

when i brought this game for the first time i thought the game was rubbish but when i started to play the game it was amazing. because the graphics are good and you can ride horses in the game and when you get to the nanman stage u get to ride elephants to smash your way through the stage. i would recommended this to people if they are huge koei fan.

It's a very addictive game with many different characters. It's the best game I've ever played - and I've played a few!I can't see any other of the DW games being any better, how do you improve on perfection?I recommend this game to people who like to fight along with other characters and like a lot of action.
