I bought this for my elderly mother, who prefers the simple flip style phone, with big buttons. This phone has a nice loud speaker, with settings for hearing aid users too. The setup was very simple with the wizard included, and she had the phone ready to go in a couple of minutes. There is an sdcard slot where the sim goes, which makes up for the lack of any real storage on the phone itself. The screen is big, and easy to read. Only bad thing is you can't set custom message tone. 4/5

Got this for my elderly father. Wish now that i’d got a cheaper model as he won’t use any of the features other than making and receiving calls! The case is slippery and could easily be dropped compared with his previous model which had a rubber feel to it making it less likely to be dropped.The volume when using the phone on this model is not as loud as his previous but the volume on the ringtone is fine.Also the buttons are small compared to his previous doro - shame his old one died!!

Bought for my husband who disliked his smartphone to the point where it became an immobile phone and was left at home on a shelf 99% of the time. I bought it for him and found it very easy to set up. It has the functionality of my last non-smartphones, the battery last ages, it's light and we particularly like the feel of the keys. It does have the Internet but I personally found this frustrating without a touchscreen. My husband is very happy with it and actually uses it every day.

I purchased this for my gran, she's 97 years old and had a older doro flip phone which until it ended up in the toilet worked really well! I went for this as a replacement because it looked and felt almost exactly the same as her original, the phone is obviously an upgrade and therefore better in all regards but importantly the menus are pretty much the same so she has Benn able to use it without much problem. I would recommend this product!

Got this Doro 6520 phone for an elderly relative and she loves it.We downloaded the instructions which were very good. We had to contact the free phone helpline to explain how to stop texts coming in and they explained how to set this option up.There is lots of option settings on this phone and when the required ones are on it makes this phone easy to use for an elderly person to enjoy

IDIOT PROOF PHONE ; BY WHICH I DO NOT MEAN ANY DISRESPECT TO ANYONE ESPECIALLY MY OWN ELDERLY MUM BUT I THINK OTHERS WITH ELDERLY PARENTS WILL UNDERSTAND AND APPRECIATE THE BLUNT HONESTY IF THEY HAVE SPENT WEEKS TRYING TO GET THEIR PARENTS TO WORK A MOBILE PHONE. ONLY FAULT I CAN FIND IS THAT THE PREDICTIVE TEXT IS DOUBLE DUTCH AND NEEDS TO BE DISABLED BEFORE YOU HAND THE PHONE OVER.

It's just right for my 86 year old father in law. Simple to use. The A and B buttons can be preset with our numbers and it has a panic button on the backHe finds it easy to use and the 'oyster' design stopped pocket calls.You can get a charging cradle for it. It's useful as all he has to do is drop it into the cradle. It keeps it charged up and he knows where he left it!!!!

I got this as like a keypad phone and mainly text. I had to cut down my standard O2 sim card to micro size and it works.Down side for me was I could only personalise my wallpaper and ring tone, but not my text alerts. But good volume.Big type when texting, I would have liked to make it smaller myself, but good for people who need it bigger.So I am happy with it.

Bought this for my technophobe husband, he only uses it for texts and calls and he insists on a clam shell, and this is one of the few available. This is the third one though, the LCD screen broke on the last two after a couple of years, so make sure all info is stored to SIM as once the screen has gone you can't see what you are doing.

This phone is just right for my wife as evrything is clear simple and foolproof .The screen is clear the buttons easy to use and the sound very good Wife has two hearing aids .It does all she wants to phone and text .Very easy to navigate round the functions An excellent phone for someone who wants a straightforward easy to use phone

this is an excellent phone for older users who are used to more conventional telephones. It vibrates as well as rings , so can be detected by people with hearing loss. the sound can be boosted if you are hard of hearing or in a noisy place. The buttons are easy to use and the operating system is simple.

I do not get on with smart phones and prefer to use my laptop for all computer stuff, so wanted a phone simply to make calls and texts. This is perfect, neat and functional and the buttons etc are clear and easy to use. My contract with Three is just £66.00 pa with all my calls included. Superb.

Second Doro phone of this type I have purchased. Its an excellent and sturdy phone that fits safely in coat pockets or bags.. Phone easy to hold and keyboard clear and easy to use. Only negative is short signal to alert to incoming text. Same alert as other one we have - so confusing!

A great little phone for those of us who need larger buttons which are really easy to see. Replacing my previous Doro this one has larger screen better ring tones, but just like the last one so easy to use. I use it on Pay As You Go as do not want to spend out on contracts etc.Annie

This is a good phone for an older person that does not require smartphone features.The Argos store service was convenient and efficiently, but the website was useless as it required details but did not leave a space to provide them, so I can to place the order by phone.
