It's very good but you need to take care, it doesn't stop sharpening automatically once there is a point like my last sharpener that was like a cheaper version than this. Instead, it will keep going till you have a very long, thin, sharp point and lots of wood has been eaten away and possibly some of the lead as well. It seemed to eat up a third of a brand new pencil.

I have to rewrite the review as I just figured it out how it worksWhat I like is that can stay in one place, it makes the colours pencil perfect for sharpening. My child loves to use so loves to color more so can use it more

I have previously had a Dahle pencil sharpener but after 30 years it finally came to the end of its life, I had no hesitation in buying another one from Dahle
