Was told by a seasoned cupcake maker to buy ordinary apple corer as they are fraction of price, having looked in local and not so local hardwares as well as supermarkets took to amazon where they were same price as cupcake corer. I realise I will never be able to core an apple with my purchase but then never felt the need to, can make some really tasty cupcakes though :-)

... for making a hundred filled cupcakes for a party. Not really suited for small cupcakes as it cuts quite deep, but perfect for larger cupcakes or muffins, easily and quickly leaving a perfect little well for your filling. And the little morsel of sponge you remove is neatly shaped so you can serve it separately or just eat it yourself...

This is a lovely little gadget and it does its job. I would love to see the 'flower' around the corer a little bit smaller though, because now it's too big for my cupcakes and it pushes the paper to the side when I want to core.But all in all a lovely little thing to make holes for my marshmallow cupcakes :)

The inside part comes out and it is very easy to clean. Easy to use and perfect holes for standard cupcakes. May cost a bit more than others but I don't regret the extra money when it is time to wash it!

Great gadget the wife loves it she says its a lot easier than digging the centre out with a spoon or knife and no mess.All the filling is equal so no arguments from the kids whos got the most filling.

A must for bakers who like to put a surprise in their cake. Easy to use and to clean. Once the cakes are decorated you cannot tell where the plug of sponge has been removed. My advice, buy one.

My, but this makes hollowing out cupcakes easy. Wish I'd got one sooner. One tip I've found is to use it when the cupcakes are still slightly warm; the tool cuts easier and cleaner.

purchased this to help cut a precise hole in my cupcakes. found that sometimes the apple corer i used could break some of the edge when removing and thought the chicago plunger

great size for any cupcake/muffin, you can even save the top half and use to replug into cupcake so no one can see the hole!Excellent item for a great price

What a superb simple little gadget this is. Cuts out middle of cup cake without any bother or mess. Don't know how I ever managed without this before.

Just used this corer today and came to write a review as I'm so pleased with it. Very easy to use, washed up a treat in the dishwasher.

This is a really good gadget as it takes an even amount from the centre of each cake and you can decide how deep to put it
