I have the Kenwood Chef Titanium so when I saw this I couldn’t resist getting it for my toddler! It was £11 when I bought it, which was excellent value. It is a perfect match to mine and he was so excited with it. The lift up machanism is manual, the “switch” is just for show, but that is probably just as well because he’s heavy handed. I love the fact it comes with a handle to place in the top & use it manually. The mixer really isn’t up to cooking much, it is not strong enough to get through the average thickness cake mixture. However it is great fun and I have made cookies with my toddler, taking the bowl out and using a spoon to finish it off. It is stronger if you use the handle rather than the electric motor, but that is fun just for play. Considering it cost less than the equivalent Argos tat it really is a good toy and the novelty value of it being the same as mums is great.

My (just) 2 year old grandson loves this! He's younger than the recommended age but has been fascinated by my Kenwood Chef and is thrilled with having a replica he can work himself (though he needs help changing the beaters and even I've found that fiddly). It's very safe and works with batteries and/or a manual handle. It appears robust. He's dropped it off his low table several times and it still works fine. It comes with a recipe book and we did try to make the biscuits but even with the butter softened it didn't really mix effectively (maybe the looser recipes may work better). That's not a problem as I've given him some small shell pasta to put in the bowl. He's played with it so consistently that even if it broke tomorrow I'd feel it was good value.

I bought this for my 3 year old son, who was asking me for a mixer like mine. I never thought I would find one, and I was very happy to find this one on Amazon. given the good reviews, I bought it and we love it. It looks exactly the same as the real Kenwood Chef, and comes with a recipe book in several languages (including portuguese). My son was very happy and immediatelly he wanted to bake a cake in it.It is battery operated, but only for playing. When we want to mix cake batter we have to use the handle on top, because the motor is not strong enough to mix real batter. If you follow this, it's a very resistant and durable toy.We made a cake and I posted it on my blog: [...]

This sturdy mini Kenwood Chef is definitely money well spent. My 2yr old grandson loves cooking and he is absolutely mesmerised by this mixer. It's ideal for whisking rice crispies and crunched up shredded wheat, nothing too solid as the 'beaters' are very pliable just in case small hands get caught. It has a 'crank' handle on the top for manual whisking otherwise the battery is sufficient. We make imaginary meringue (warm water with a drop of washing up liquid) but this weeks cookathon was Angel Delight. He was giddy with excitement that he could actually eat it. I would recommend to anyone with a child interested in cooking.

This little mixer is great quality and works just like an adult version. Its a great item to get kids intersted in baking and an be used by hand or battery operated which is a nice touch. I was even more impressed that it came with a small recipe book showing its not just a toy but can be used to create real baking, i let my daughter try out one of the recipies as i was unsure due to the size of bowl if this was even possiable bit the ingridents fitted in well and we made some lovley biscuts with her very own machine. Great biy for any kid that is interested in kitchen, cooking role play i would highly recomend.

Really like this product, pretty sturdy although I think there is scope for the whisk/beater to be fairly easily broken as it can be a bit fiddly for little fingers to get them into the slot. It takes a bit of effort to lift up the arm and get it down again which has meant a bit of spillage when my son tries to do it himself as it needs to be held tightly whilst you do this action. We did make some biscuit mix using one of the accompanying recipes but the mixtures need to be really loose for the machine to cope with beating the ingredients. Overall very happy and my son likes playing with it.

I am very impressed with this children's mixer. We bought it for my 3 year old son as he loves to help me in the kitchen. I have a Kenwood chef mixer and he has always been fascinated by it so when we saw this we had to get it!It works very well and is a good likeness to the grown up version. We made our pancake batter with it for pancake day. The battery works quite well and it also has a handle so they can mix manually.Everytime we make cakes now, he can do some in his mixer. Great value for money (especially as we got this for £12 on special offer). I would highly reccommend.

Bought as a gift for my nieces for Christmas, as I had bought one for my son around 6 years ago and its still going strong and he loved it, and my nieces love theirs too.Looks like a mini version of the real thing. Battery powered or hand powered, you choose according to how thick your mixture is (battery is fine for beating the eggs or imaginary play but hand power required for cake mix. Easy to hand wash.A great toy for pretend play and real baking too.

My daughter (3), loves baking. When she comes round I have to get my big old Kenwood Chef out for her to use.She got this for Christmas, and loves it. She wants to keep it at her Mums', and still use mine, so she can bake wherever she is.Actually mixes, and if the batteries run out, comes with a manual handle.Only gripe, is it is just a bit small. A bit bigger would have been great, but non-the-less a great toy for any childs kitchen.

child was over the moon, looks very realiostic and you dont have to use batteries to get the whisk to turn - so fne if the batteries run dow. batteries did last a long time though.very hardwearing, was thrown around the room by a toddler and all in one piece. a really good buy in my opinion, the receipe book is brilliant, has produced some tasty food. the pizzas are even quite nice.

This will be a Christmas gift but I've opened it up to put batteries in and was pleasantly surprised how nicely it runs. I can't believe they give recipes for real baking though! I love the idea of my kids using this to do miniature baking but I might take the lazy route and not tell them it can be used for that, or they'll want to bake all the time!

I collect kenwood chefs - from old A7's onwards and this takes pride of place in my collection.I know its a toy but its so sweet and once CV19 is over and we have family and little ones around we can have a baking day and they can use this safely and independently instead of having to use of of the full size beasties with the risks that entails.

I got the toy today and had a good surprise with it.The toy mixer looks like exactly the real Kenwood chef titanium I have at home in smaller. It can works with hand or batteries. The best surprise is that there is with the toy a book of easy recipes that kids can do with their own mixer.Perfect toy with a very good price !

Had one almost identical as a kid in the 90s and bought this one for my friends kids. The recipe book that came with it is very dated and feels like it was printed in the 80s! The whisk is really springy and no real use for baking. The kids enjoyed it and other than the whisk it's stood up to some reasonable abuse.

A lovely role play toy; yes it struggles to mix with battery power alone but the joy on the face of your little one having their own mixer like mummy and making their own cake mixture is priceless. Just use the handle as well as the battery power and you’re away.Worth every penny!
