I bought this for a 3 year old for Christmas, and have never seen a kid get so excited that they couldn't breathe for a few seconds! The look on their face was amazing! All other toys were discarded that morning in favour of this!This is really easy to set up, taking about 15 minutes in total. The track formed a figure of 8 and included 'pillars' needed to create a bridge. This was so much fun and took me back to my own childhood of wanting a Scalextric. The cars move around the track really quickly and we were able to race two cars without any real problems. The controllers do have a 'turbo' switch which pretty much doubles the normal speed of the cars,

A great way to introduce the hobby to grandchildren! However, I needed to "govern" the speed down some on the cars until additional track could be added...they go really fast! Cars and track are well-made but caution must be used when disassembling the tight-fitting track pieces or damage can occur to the connecting plastic tongues. Instructions are illustrations only. Lots of online videos available, however, under Carrera Go! and it's hobby shop distributors. Fun stuff!

This is a great set when you can get it at the low price (the price tends to bounce around a bit). These cars are a bit much for this small pack but I have bought two of these as expansion packs (plus someone broke one of the F1 cars). You can't get additional track with ramps and 2 cars for this price. As I keep adding track the performance advantage of these F1 cars grows over the other taller, heavier cars.

Great, right out of the box. easy to assemble with minimal need for directions. Cars took right off, and after a little tweaking of the contacts were flying around the track in no time. My boy was able to pick up the speed pretty quick. The track is a little short, which I had anticipated, so I have already purchased extensions. Would highly recommend this product for beginner racers.

I bought this for my grandson for Christmas and it is a very nice figured basic slot car racing set. It works very well, the controls are responsive, and the cars are appealing and large enough. I would like it if they have included some details and flags on the safety bumpers around the curves. It reminds me of the sets back in the 70s that were so popular.

I bought this for my nephews birthday and it brought me back to slot car racing when I was a kid. It has a nice track and the 2 cars are pretty nice. The electric brushes need to be adjusted or the cars will not work well. Overall it is a nice quality starter set and the cars took some bad crashes and help up nicely.

A great set that can be combined with other sets. Cars look very up to date Ferrari/Mercedes.
