SummaryBulldog set your world on fire but definitely more than acceptable as a mixing gin; paired with pretty much any tonic, it delivers a good flavor on your palate. For the extra few quid though, I’d recommend Bloom Gin over this as a much more refined end product.Full ReviewWith my preferred gin out of stock on Amazon (Bloom); I decided to give this a go. Slightly cheaper in price with good reviews was what swayed me. Doing some research; it was officially launched in 2007, it’s made in copper pots and contains 12 botanicals including juniper, lavender, lotus leaves, white poppy, dragon eye, liquorice, almond, cassia bark, angelica root, lemon, coriander, orris root. The nose is slightly floral with a perfumey bouquet; junipers and lime can also be detected. Upon tasting, floral notes remain with a mild tingling on the lips and tongue and a warming burn on the way down. My recommendation is to garnish with grapefruit or star anise as it really transforms the flavor. Good option in the lower cost, mass produced gin segment alongside the likes of Bombay Sapphire and Greenall's Gin. Definitely not rivaling your boutique gins in flavor but also not matching the price either so a worthy comprise.

I work in a hotel bar and strangely we don't sell this, so it was on Amazon I first came across it.One customer told me one night he'd been to Plymouth Gin and did the walk round and after a couple of hours the tour group was gasping at the thought of a G & T Ice and a Slice at the end. Therefore they were a bit put out when they were given cups of NEAT gin to taste. But that confirmed my amateur theory with gins, in that the best is always the one you can sip neat and Bulldog is one of those. Lovely aroma and a great taste. We tend to use this for our "quaffers" at home. Get something like a martini glass, one cube of ice and lemon slice, measure of gin and add just enough tonic to fill the glass. This way you TASTE the gin.Lovely the bottle too with it's studded "collar".

This is my husbands favourite gin! I like it too - so a bottle never lasts too long in our house. The flavour is that of a really good, clean gin. No fancy extra flavouring - just a good gin taste - perfect with a Fentimans tonic! The bottle is also great, looking good on the shelf, with the cut dog collar style neck! It also fits on our sideboard optic stand with it being a screw top - whereas a lot of the cork tops don't fit on. So a winner in every sense! And great value - superior to some much more expensive gins.

I have a PhD in sourcing Gin. I study prices and always get bargains. We are not pub drinkers (even without the pandemic), and paying up to £25 for gin, is worth it in our mind. First time we have tried this gin. our favourites are Blooms, Whitely, Ophir, Bombay and Tanquarey. Would I buy this again, definitely. It’s not as delicate as the others, but I think it’s definitely drinkable and if you can get it on offer, then it’s well worth it.

Having a bulldog myself and liking my Gin ( MORE SO MY GIN ) Only joking my purchase was extremely packaged well, plus well designed. The bottle has great detail on the collar spikes ( safe for young ones ) To good to open but I will and then go ahead and purchase another two one to be used and one to display. These will sell out very quickly so all bulldog owners it’s a must purchase.

As a recent convert to gin I am on a mission to find my favourite one and have recently tried this.it is not my favourite but it is not bad it has a lovely flavour and mixes well with fever tree tonic water it makes a very pleasant drink,I shall however continue with my quest to find my ultimate gin but wouldn't say no if I was offered one of these.

Love it, my favourite gin.Drunk neat, very smooth.Drunk with Schweppes tonic, wonderful, ( I know I'm in a minority, on here at least, but I detest fever tree tonic).Fantastic gin once again and I've tried many and have several on my "bar" but this one is the one I go to when I'm gin hungry.?

I really like this gin. I find it goes nice with any tonic whether plain or a citrus tonic.I drink quite a bit of gin and have a Craft Gin Club membership, I find this is a lovely gin to fill in the gap whilst waiting for my monthly box to arrive. It is a far nicer gin than Gordon's!

If you're getting it at around 20 a bottle it's great. For me it lags behind others in the slightly higher price range like Martin Miller but probably better value than standard tanquerray. Quite floral without being too much and very pleasant change from dry gins

We had a gin night and this was one that bought this one. We were all very surprised as it's not a gin we had heard of.And I would totally recommend it.I love the bottle, I love the look and I love the gin. And it came in 2nd compareday to the other 6 bottles

This Gin is my second favourite after Brockmans, both are utterly delicious with some berries & a splash of Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic. The only downside to both of these gins is the bottle, they are both opaque & you can't tell how much is in the bottle.

I'm not the gin drinker in our house but my partner loves this brand. The way it is marketed is great, gin seems to frequently be targeted towards female drinkers so I can buy this brand for him knowing he will appreciate the styling as well as the contents!

As this is widely available I wasn't expecting much from this gin... But I loved it! Particularly good with Meditterean Fever Tree and a slice of orange. Will definitely buy again - especially with the reasonable price tag

I bought this as a gift and as I don't drink gin and it hasn't been openend yet I can't comment on the product as of yet, however it came very well packaged, looks smart (and manly) and was a bargain price, very pleased

Recently started drinking gin and opted for the Bulldog. Must say, I’m not an expert but this gin tastes lovely. Better than more expensive gins I’ve bought recently. Great with FeverTree tonic. Go on, treat yourself.
