Bourjois Volume Glamour Push Up Mascara - Ultra BlackI hadn't used Bourjois mascara before, and this is a lovely black mascara that comes in a sleek attractive bottle that I'd be happy to carry around with me (some mascara bottle can be garish and outlandish). I'd wear this for daytime (and use a waterproof mascara for going out partying).=== THINGS I LIKE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT ===* Sleek, elegant bottle in black with attractive silver and gold branding that I'd be happy to carry round with me (some of the low- to mid- price mascaras come in garish bottles as if aimed exclusively at teenagers); this bottle looks good and feels good in the hand* The mascara is nice and thick,goes on smoothly and coats the lashes evenly without clumping, then dries quickly giving full, thick lashes* Good dark black colour* Has a standard conical application brush, which I prefer to the convex ones that seem popular at the moment (though my favourite brush is the Benefit Roller Lash concave brush with longer teeth on top for the upper lashes and smaller teeth on the bottom for lower lashes)=== NIGGLES ===* Contains only 7ml of mascara, so won't last as long as others* I prefer a waterproof mascara for going out on the town because if, I'm having a jolly good dance, I will sweat and that means mascara can sometimes smudge or run unless it is waterproof. I was drawn to the packaging of this product (silly really, like choosing wine because the label is attractive) its quite thick at one end so easy to hold and the lid goes from transparent to black. I sort of expected some thing magic when when I pulled out the brush (no not rabbits or doves this is not stamped magic circle!), but its a brush an old fashioned round bristle brush, not even one of the new style rubbery plastic ones which remind one of a row of canine teeth.The product comes out black gloopy black pretty standard looking mascara- however I was very pleasantly surprised I could put this on and remove the lumps, not end up with stuck together eye lashes.This is not one of those mega lash mascaras where one can look like you could join the west end stage as an extra and not look out of place, but just resulted in enhanced lashes. So great those with pale/blond lashes.Product looses a star as although the container is large it only contains 7ml of product. No idea if the product is tested on animals it doesn't say. The ingredients are listed in teeny tiny writing under a peel back label on the lid and include, water, paraffin, sorbic acid, tocopherol,cellulose, propylene glycol, triethanololamine, hydroxmethyl cellulose, polysorbte 65, beeswax and much more.......

We were drawn to this Mascara due to the Conditioning and protective elements but the results, too, are certainly worth a mention.At first the liquid looks a bit too thick and my wife was concerned about how this would spread across her lashes without looking lumpy, but she needn't have worried. The mascara brush makes this really easy to apply and there were no lumps after application. In fact the dark black mascara was far more subtle than we initially thought, it showed up and, yes, made her lashes look plumper, but not overly so. It works and looks natural, while still providing more volume and looking fantastic.What it doesn't do is overly emphasis things to a point where it looks pasted on.So if you want subtle enhancements to your lashes with something that can also protect and condition them, this is a great product.

This 'serum' is a little strange. It is softer than mascara, and doesn't really dry hard. It curls the lashes, and keeps the curl for hours.It was a bit weird using it at first, as it's quite liquid and a bit clumpy - I had to use my trusty old spare wand to brush away the clumps. BUT after the clumps were cleared the mascara looked really natural, you could hardly tell that I had put mascara on, I just looked like I had naturally thicker and much curvier lashes!It was also easier to remove than my normal mascaras. Because it does not dry hard the cleanser kind of made the Bourjois melt, so a few sweeps of my cotton pad later it had completely disappeared.I would really recommend this Bourjois for daytime,it looks really natural, but perhaps something with a bit more oomph would be required for nights out.

I've been using this product for a while and I am in love with it. It makes my eyelashes longer and curlier and looks very natural. It is also easy to wash off with water and soap no matter it is waterproof. I really love that because the mascara I used before was impossible to take off without a special removal (I don't like using makeup removals because my eyes can be allergic) and without loosing a bunch of my eyelashes. This one is waterproof, so don't worry about the rain or swimming in the pool, but at the same time it is easy to remove with water and soap without loosing all of your eyelashes which is perfect!

This is a good mascara.I normally use a L’Oreal mascara because I don’t particularly like a heavy or overly thick mascaras and this isn’t too thick for me.The brush had me worried because it looked like it had been chewed, but it amazingly gives a good clean application of mascara. The problem with straight and curved brushes is that they may not cover the lashes – I have found that some lashes (usually the end ones) don’t get the same coverage of mascara as others and will need extra applications; this can cause unpleasant clumping.The mascara went on easily and did not clump or feel gooey or heavy.

I have always been a big fan of Bourjois mascaras. I can always rely on them to give me all that I need, including volume, length and separation.This mascara is no exception. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes statement lashes because it's really volumising and gives the effect of really long, thick, black lashes.It'd be a great night out mascara because of its intensity but I like to have big lashes during the day too.It lasts all day and doesn't flake off or run on me which is a massive bonus. A great new mascara to try if you are looking for something different.

I think I have just found my new-favourite mascara. Applied by a straight brush, this coats lashes individually to leave them clump-free and beautifully defined; I really hate having several lashes clumped together as I prefer a natural look.It lasts well over the course of a day, even when presented with tears (carefully wiped to avoid smudging) when there was no sign of running. No statement that it is waterproof but it appears to last as well as any waterproof mascara I have tried.If you like natural looking lashes then this is definitely worth trying.

Amazing value at this price. Very good quality mascara - the liquid feels soft and silky on the lashes. The brush is a traditional cone shaped bristle brush, easy to use and provides good volume. I haven't had any problems with fibres shedding and I haven't had any problems with sensitive eyes - although my eyes are easily irritated. The colour is a lovely inky black.I have never used Bourjois mascara before for some reason, although I love their eyeshadow. I'm definitely going to buy the mascara in future - very impressed.

The packaging for this Mascara is very elegant - shiny black in a curved shape. The brush for applying the mascara is thick and tapered - larger than any others I have used recently. The actual liquid (called a serum) is smooth and not at all thick and sticky.It sweeps the mascara easily onto the lashes with excellent results - no lumps at all. It lasts all day and is easily removed with my normal cleanser.An excellent product that I would definitely use again. Recommended.

This is a nice day mascara. It is quite a loose consistency - which I like as it reduces clumping.It is quite shiny, so if you are careful how you apply this can look like your own natural lashes, except longer!This is the kind of look I have been looking for and have only ever found with a top end mascara costing £22!I like this very much and I think this might be my new favorite.It has good longevity, and comes off easily with soap and water.

My wife used this earlier today and was quite pleased with the results:- Nicely designed packaging- Formula was smooth and silky and stayed on all day- Eyelashes felt silky to touch- Good amount of volume and depth of colour- It was possible to add layers without too much clumping- Easy to take off at the end of the day- The brush was quite large therefore took a bit longer to apply than normal (to avoid smudging).Overall recommended!

Bourjois mascaras are genuinely the only brand I have ever used that don't clump, not even a little bit. That alone makes them worth their weight in gold.This one gave me a nice wide-eyed look without making my lashes seem false. I like that the effect is subtle, but you can add coats for dramatic effect.I can't believe I used Maybelline for so long, I would always use Bourjois mascaras now.

I like this product. Interestingly, on the product the word 'mascara' is in tiny letters and it goes by the name, serum. Bourjois Push Up The Volume Black Serum mascara protects and beautifies lashes. The mascara has a conditioning and protective serum formula which makes for silky, long lasting lashes which don't clump. This feels like a quality product, and it's great value too. Recommended.

I love this mascara! I have tried many mascaras ranging from Chanel - Clinique and nothing is as good as this! One of the things that makes this mascara so good is that its completely waterproof and is easy to remove. One of the downsides is that occasionally the product builds up around the lid, but its a small price to pay for a good waterproof mascara that is easy to take off :)
