Wow, I just love this! It's got to be the most fantastic mascara have tried up to date!First of all, the tube is shaped with three sides like a triangle so it is not going to roll away when put down on a desk or shelf. One side has a 3x magnification mirror right on it so this is perfect for being out and about (say you suddenly find an occasion where you want long dark fluttery pretty lashes, this is the one to carry). The brush within is of the skinny head variety, and the silicon bristles are uber short, which you would think initially is going to make it difficult to get a nice coat, but you'd be wrong. The short bristles make it easier to get right to the root of the lash and they comb through the lashes brilliantly giving a really even coat even with one swoop and it gets right from root to tip so it is definitely very even! The surprising one about this is that the head is actually flexible - not the neck itself, but the actual head with the bristles actually bends and moves with the slightest pressure and I suspect this is one of the reasons the brush combs through lashes so effortlessly yet doesn't clump the product as it feels as if it is barely touching the lashes rather than dragging through them. The product itself seems creamy and not flaky or dry and yet, it isn't too thick that it gives a dense thick look to each individual lash, the colour is very intensely black and the volume was indeed as promised, my lashes look incredibly long and surprisingly even as if they'd been curled a little - my guess is the short bristles pushed up the roots of the lashes since they could get right down to the roots and gave that curl and volume. My lashes are separated and black, no clumping or spidering going on, and as the brush is so thin and the bristles short, I could get to the corners of my lashes and the under lashes - it was so effortless and the little mirror made such the difference as it is so small and thin that I could get close up.All in all there is nothing about this mascara I can find wrong - I've tried so many over the years, but this may be the best I've tried. I will say though, you do only definitely need one coat, two coats is excessive and will start causing spidery lashes (I tested just to see). This is the one coat stop and the results are brilliant almost burgeoning on natural style false lash look. Now also very light on (some mascaras do feel heavy during wear) but this feels like it's not on, I'm not aware of it at all. It's so comfortable and light.I don't think it's waterproof so it may be worth being careful at the gym, etc, but this is definitely a game changer. I think I've found my new favourite!

I am reviewing the Bourjois Volume Reveal Mascara, Black. Here are my thoughts:^^ I am loving this Bourjois Volume Reveal Mascara in black. It glides on so well and lasts all day.^^ The lash brush wand is designed with gripping bristles and when I first tried this I was taken back at how easy it was to use.^^ Plus the good coating it gave my lashes in a short period of time is a real time saver and very volumising.^^ The built in mirror with x3 zoom that is attached on the side of the triangular mascara bottle certainly does work to reveal every lash. Now I can put my mascara on in the car (when I get to my destination of course!)without having to stretch up to see in my rear view mirror.^^ Plus this saves space in my make-up bag or pocket at times when taking an extra mirror is a little more inconvenient.^^ Finally, the shape of this mascara makes it very difficult for it to roll of my dressing table surface. And how many times I have laid down (or knocked over) my mascara only to have it fall on the floor? Heaps! Problem solved.Overall:When I saw the small brush I was a little disappointed, but then when I used it - well, I quickly changed my mind and can happily say I love it. The way it clutches my lashes leaving them quickly looking all over covered is fantastic. As you can tell I can easily recommend.Disclosure:I was supplied a free or discounted sample for test and evaluation purposes in return for my honest and unbiased opinion. It is my hope that my views, whether positive or negative, will help other potential buyers make up their own minds. Thank you for reading. Product reviewed with assistance of my sister. This is the first time she used Bourjois branded make up, for 15yrs having used various Avon mascaras, this brand did not disappoint. My sister uses contact lenses, which means at times her eyes tear up or water, many "waterproof" mascaras in the past have let he down, this, however, stayed on until she wanted to clean it off.The wear is perfect it did not run, or flake, or smudge. Her eyelashes never looked clumpy or covered in multiple coats of mascara. Without need of a lash base, one coat of this mascara gave her lashes rich colour and length, a second coat gave her lashes a fuller, thicker appearance, a false-lash effect. This, she advises me,is perfect because she never has and perhaps never will use fake eyelashes as her make up regime is kept simple. This mascara has a unique built in mirror with X3 zoom. This mascara also has a "lash catcher brush", the brush hairs are plastic. This reportedly helps to define and separate each lash. It is a full brush, which is better than comb wands my sister tried in the past. My sister advised me she has eye lashes that grow inwards, towards her eyes. To combat this she either relies upon using metal eye lash curlers or plucks out the hurtful lashes but for the first time she has been able to brush said lashes outwards with this mascara. No need for eye lash curlers at all.My sister advises me that she can only praise this product and award it five stars. As a first-time user of any Bourjois product she looks forward to purchasing and reviewing more make up from this range in future.

I was asked if I’d like to review Bourjois Volume Reveal Waterproof Mascara and I said yes, as I’d just finished the mascara I had.Mascara is the only piece of makeup I use on a daily basis. The company was started in 1863 on the great boulevards of Paris in the theatre district. It was created by the actor Joseph-Albert Ponsin. Then is 1868, Ponsin entrusted his entire company to Alexandre-Napoléon Bourjois, the company did really well under him and it became internationally known. This is the first time I’ve used a product by Bourjois and I wasn’t disappointed. The Bourjois Volume Reveal Waterproof Mascara is in a triangle designed plastic container, with a built in mirror that has a three times zoom,(the mirror comes with a clear plastic cover that you just peel off), and it’s a decent mirror.I think the mirror is a great bonus as it means I don’t always have to have a compact mirror in my handbag. Also the mascara fits comfortably into my purse. :-)The mascara brush has very fine bristles, another plus is the mascara doesn’t come out clumpy so your lashes get a nice even covering. This lash brush grips your lashes nicely, even the small lashes, (I have a few of those), the mascara goes on nice and even which makes sure all your lashes are volumised. :-)It’s by far the best mascara I’ve used, (far better than all the previous ones I’ve used), and it’s a brand I’ll be sticking with. :-)I can definitely recommend this mascara. :-)

In my opinion Bourjois are the best 'drugstore level' brand for mascara; I've tried the majority of their new releases, going back for over a decade now, so I did expect to enjoy this. Sure enough, it didn't let me down...No no false promises here, no need to mess with lash bases, or having to load down lashes by applying 3+ coats; this is a excellant mascara formula that delivers what it says it will, with minimal fuss. One coat gives you volume, addeded length, and a rich colour. Two coats gives you that full on, false eyelash look. Perfect for when you want your makeup to make a statement. The wear is fantastic. No running, smudging or flaking. It will stay on until you take it off.Speaking of which; the removal of this is easier, in comparison to most of the past Bourjois mascaras I've used.I've only removed a star because we're paying for what I think of as a pointless gimmick - the magnetized mirror attached to the tube. I [and I imagine most other people who enjoy cosmetics] already use a mirror compact, which has a magnetized half, for close-up application of makeup. So I don't see most of us ever using the little slither of a mirror that we get here, so it's a little unfair that we're paying for it anyway. If you don't have a magnetized mirror, then you might find this handy, so I suppose that this can be viewed as a 5 star review for some people.

Bourjois Volume Reveal Mascara is a great acting mascara which is blessed with a very slim brush, I love the brush as it allows me to coat even the smallest eyelash with the great lengthening mascara. One main reason this mascara is different from so many other mascara's in todays markets is due to the fact the mascara packaging has a 3X magnification mirror which allows you to check yourself when out and about which is important as I do not want "panda" eyes spoiling my look. The packaging of this mascara is first class at it is shaped like a triangle therefore no more me having to get down on my hands and knees looking for the mascara which has went for a spin, usually ending up in the tightest or darkest corner.I also like the packaging as it is cool to the touch and sits comfortably in my hand. The actual mascara provides a great look, and with its lengthening and for me the volume reveal is the true appeal of this mascara. I actually noticed my eyelashes after application.I love this mascara and I would especially recommend it to those who like myself who do not have thick luscious eyelashes. For me using the Bourjois Volume Reveal Mascara is a pleasure and I love the results it provides me with.

[Reviewed by Mrs O'] Trying to find a mascara that is actually waterproof has almost become a lifelong quest! I have tried many over my lifetime and had begun to think that I may never find one that works no matter what my salty tears throw at it I've even thought I must have 'unusual' tears as so many 'waterproof' mascaras have failed at the first hurdle, leaving me with dreaded 'panda eyes'. I need to look no more, the Bourjois Volume Reveal Waterproof Mascara is actually WATERPROOF - hooray! The product is nicely packaged with the bonus of having a 3 x magnifying mirror on the tube (if you call a triangle a tube!), which is handy when you're on the go or are short-sighted and don't already possess a magnifying mirror. The consistency of the mascara itself is good, not too thick or thin and coats the lashes very easily with one swish of the sensibly sized brush. For day-to-day wear one coat is all you need with no top-up required, once it's on it on, and you need an eye make-up removal product to remove it at the end of the day. I didn't have an adverse reaction to Bourjois Volume Reveal Waterproof Mascara, which is good as I have sensitive eyes. So all in all a great product and highly recommended.

This is a mighty good Mascara. I LOVE the packaging. It has a magnifying mirror attached to the side. This is genius if you like to apply mascara on the go. It has a good large brush for application but not too massive that you feel like it's unwieldy. I can get good coverage with one sweep on each side. I have difficulty applying mascara to my left eye for some reason and my lashes always clump up. So a sign of a good mascara for me personally is one which really separates and defines my lashes on BOTH eyes and this one passes that test. I've tried building up 2 and 3 layers and can't see a radical difference though as the description implies. But one or 2 sweeps is enough for the way I like to wear mascara day and night.I'm a contact lens wearer too and this mascara has been perfect. No problems or sensitivity whatsoever. It pretty much stays put all day. I do find that if I start to rub my eyes in the evening I will get some black around my eyes and I always wash my make up off each evening with cleanser. It comes off pretty well and then fresh application for the next day. I've swam with it and gone running with it on and it's stayed put. Would definitely buy this again.

This was a good all round mascara - quite a wet consistency, but that means it picks up all the little eyelashes that often get missed like around the corner of the eye. It accentuated the length of my lashes but it doesn't make them curl (my lashes are dead straight). One coat was probably enough, but two coats was am-a-zing!It didn't clump either and there were no "spidery" lashes, and although it isn't waterproof that does mean it comes away easily and completely with cleanser or remover. I have sensitive skin and eyes, and I had no reactions at all from using this mascara. The triangular packaging is quite useful as it helps distinguish this from all the other barrel make ups,and as it quickly became one of my staple daily products, that really helped me to find it when rushing out for the school run. The mirror wasn't much use to me as I wear reading glasses, but I'm sure for younger eyes it would be a bonus.Unlike many cosmetic products I buy and try, this is one I will say is a must-have.

I love this Mascara! I buy a lot of mascara as I have 2 eye conditions - Sjogren's Syndrome and Blepheritis which make my eyes dry, itchy, irritated etc. I have to be very careful with some formulas as some I have tried have caused weeks of irritation but this one is fab! It seems quite gentle. It lifts, coats and fans out my lashes and it is very dramatic. I am lucky enough to have a lot of eyelashes and it does look a bit like I am wearing false ones If I put on more than one coat! It doesn't seem to clump unless you layer it a few times, and it lasts all day.I haven't tried the waterproof one as I often find waterproof mascara impossible to remove, but I find the regular one doesn't smudge or flake - which is super important for me.I did have a bit of a cry one day (which is difficult for people with my eye condition as sometimes I have no tears/eye moisture at all) and some of it went under my eyes but not much to be honest. I have been drenched in the rain and it was ok as well.

This is unbelievable! I read all the claims of many mascaras about what they do for your lashes and I try most and they don't really work. But this does! However, only after you put a few layers on. The first layer is just like regular mascara but you can keep applying this and it does indeed leave you with a very dramatic and full lash look. I love it and I have been trying to find this look for years. It stays on all day and it doesn't flake or clump either which always happens when you layer mascara. The mascara also removes easily with my Simple eye makeup remover. The case is also really cool as it is easy to hold because it is triangular but the best bit is that there is a magnifying mirror along one side which is so handy when you are out and about and wanting to reapply.Overall,I absolutely love everything about this mascara. I think this must be the best mascara I have tried and I have been wearing mascara and looking for the perfect one for about 40 years!

It is rare for me to get excited about a mascara - I don't actually wear it that often; only if I go out in the evening, but this is a really useful addition to your make up bag. The mascara itself comes in a triangular package - no rolling away when you accidentally put it down on the side, or knock it over. Even better, one side has a x3 magnifying mirror on the side, which is perfect to help you apply this when out and about. Especially if, like me, you are a woman of a certain age and use reading glasses. This is a fabulous idea and, although simple, it makes you wonder why nobody has thought of doing it before. The mascara has a small, compact brush. Personally I prefer this kind of brush,as you can get into the corner of your eye. The actual mascara doesn't clump and looks good. The five stars comes for the packaging too, though. When out and about, this is the mascara that you will put in your handbag and it is the one I will replace.

I really like this Bourjois mascara, the name is Volume Reveal and it does not disappoint. Love the colour - ultra black. It really does lift lashes very well. I love the fact that the barrel is a triangular shape, making it easy to hold and steady for accurate and precise application. I love the really flexible brush head which enables me to apply steadily and carefully maximising the look that I was going for.I am a contact lens wearer and found this mascara really agreeable for my needs - the fact that it has a mirror down one side of the barrel makes it easy to apply at home or on the go. Also I really like the fact that this mascara does not have an unpleasant smell. My lashes were still flexible even after a couple of coats. I would say it's a gentle mascara which maximises effect and I will definitely be buying again. I think also this would make a really lovely gift, it's a great mascara and one you would love to receive.

This is my new favourite mascara, designed to be applied in layers according to taste and occasion. I like to wear quite a lot of black eye make up sometimes but this gives me a choice - to apply one layer for a subtle look or two or three for a more dramatic effect. The applicator wand is a little bit thicker than some others.I really like the design of the tube, an almost triangular shape though two sides are slightly curved. This makes it possible to have a magnifying mirror strip on the third, flat side. The magnifying mirror strip means that I can easily apply mascara on the bus if I need to, without needing another mirror, and as I normally need reading glasses for close up use,the magnification is very helpful too. The flat sides also mean that the mascara won't just roll off the table.I have already bought another one and plan to buy more.

A handy and good quality mascara from Bourgeois which as a brand is the best in the budget category. The triangular shape is a god send - so that it doesn't keep toppling over - or rolling over as my current favourites do.I have incredibly sensitive eyes and so L'Oreal, Laura Mercier, MaxFactor, esteem Lauder have all ended up in the bin; but this has been superb and no nasty reactions.I don't like over loading my eye lashes so one sweep was enough to ensure my eyelashes looked longer ... I didn't get the volumising effect but they looked more prominent! And whilst the mirror may seem a gimmick it's rather useful for both applying this mascara and when I went away I used it for reapplying lipstick too!A good product - not too clumpy - brush helps even application. And it has reasonable staying power too without taking forever to remove.
