I had read good reviews in magazines and here about this foundation and wanted to try one with a lighter coverage coming into summer rather than my full coverage Estee Lauder Double Wear I used to typically wear during the winter months. I was aware about the connection of Bourjois and Chanel and had seen some videos on YouTube where this was named as an excellent dupe for the Chanel Vitalumiere and have to admit was intrigued by this. The makeup artists I watched on YouTube talking about this subject were saying that the Bourjois and Chanel products are actually made in the same factory using similar ingredients, the difference being that although similar the Bourjois brand will have cheaper ingredients than the Chanel, but both are formulated the same which is why I guess the Bourjois foundation is such a great dupe to the Chanel one. I had previously tried a sample size of the Chanel V and loved the finish it gave my skin, but as is typical with most of the Chanel foundations I've tried I get a slight allergic reaction to them so have never bought a fill size Chanel foundation.I would describe my skin as normal/dry although dehydrated would be a more appropriate description as I don't suffer dry or flaky patches but my skin will feel tight after washing and parched throughout the day no matter how much water I drink, and believe me, I drink loads!! ? I was drawn mostly to buying this because of the skincare properties and serum base in this foundation, thinking that would help with keeping my skin feel moisturised whilst wearing this. I find this foundation to be a light to medium coverage (totally buildable though) depending on how I apply it. I've found I prefer applying it with a buffing brush, it definitely gives that finish of "like your skin, only better" and during the summer months I like that my few freckles on my nose can still be seen and it gives my skin that overall healthy glow and looks more like a tint than a foundation as such yet it evens out my skin tone but still manages to give a flawless, dewy look. The gel texture actually feels quite nice and makes this foundation very easy to blend. My skin also tends to be quite sensitive to certain ingredients but I have had no reaction or breakouts using this foundation and feels like I'm wearing nothing on my face, has that perfect lightweight feel that I enjoy in the Spring and Summer seasons. The added serum has also contributed immensely to my skin feeling hydrated and doesn't feel parched and tight during the day. It has excellent staying power with my skin type...I don't need to touch up during the day although I can't comment on how it would perform for those with oily/combination skin although as its non greasy in look and texture, I'd imagine with a light dusting of powder it should perform well?!I have enjoyed using this foundation, it feels a quality product, I like the glass bottle and the pump dispenser is a major bonus for hygienic reasons. I will be phasing out my full coverage foundation now when Winter comes to an end and I am looking forward to buying this again and renewing my love for it, I would definitely recommend anyone reading this to try this out, it gives a beautiful, natural looking finish to your skin especially if you are wanting to try a light to medium coverage foundation. I can't speak highly enough about this product. ?

I would just like to begin by saying my partner is a serious Chanel addict, every cosmetic product purchased must be of the Chanel brand, the only problem is they tend to be rather expensive when used on a daily basis.Upon doing som research I discovered Bourjois actually owns Chanel so it got me wondering how different their products actually are besides the enormous price difference. So, to prove a point that bigger budget items aren't always better - I purchased a bottle of this Healthy Mix Serum and inserted the product into one of her Chanel vitulumiere aqua empties then replaced the actual Chanel one in her cosmetics cabinet. One week went by and she NEVER even noticed the difference!Aftertelling her exactly what I had done and how she was oblivious to the whole thing she agreed that the difference between the Bourjois foundation £10 and the Chanel foundation £33 was so so miniscule...it was definitely not worth spending £22 more for just a brand name.I hope this helps those of you who are looking for a way to save money without sacrificing quality and piece of mind.In short - Worth every single penny, light buildable coverage, radiant healthy glow and used with the correct moisturiser, looks just like skin. Must buy.

It's very lightweight and feels very light on the skin, definitely doesn't feel cakey. You have to build up the layers to get full coverage, but I don't often do that look anyway, even if my skin is having a breakout so its not a problem for me. I really like the consistency and the amount of pigmentation is about right for me. I have had people compliment my skin while wearing it and also comment that they cant see the make up which I'm happy about! Not many people want foundation to be visibly obvious! Longevity isn't amazing but not much different from other foundation brands I've tried (rimmel, clinique, the ordinary, etc),it's also worth noting I don't wear primer as it causes my face to break out so it might have better longevity for others who use primers. I have very sensitive skin that is very prone to acne breakouts, even in my late 20s. I have not found this foundation to have any effect positive or negative on my acne, which is actually pretty good as lots of foundations I've tried just exacerbate matters so it's nice to find a neutral one. One of my favourite foundations.

I disagree with some of the oily skin reviews on here. Lately I've been trying to be more minimal with my makeup (think glossier without the price tag and pore clogging formulas) and this foundation serum has been perfect for that. I have oily skin and find this to be a lovely natural looking foundation I can wear everyday with a bit of mascara, brow gel and lip stain, to just feel a bit more put together. This product sets on your skin and you hardly feel you are wearing anything. As the day goes on your natural oils will come through, but nothing a bit of blotting sheets can't fix, and this product doesn't encourage or influence my oils, they would come through if I wasn't wearing anything. The finish is really natural, I just use a little to get a bit of healthy radiance to my skin so I can feel a bit more confident day to day. If that sounds like what you're looking for, go for it. If you're looking for a heavier coverage or a matte finish, look elsewhere. This is very much a 'no-makeup makeup' look.

As my skin has aged, and changed, it's been really difficult to find a suitable foundation. Some are far too heavy and show all the creases and lines on my skin and some are really light and do nothing. After another search through the make up counters recently, I came across this gel foundation from Bourjois and tested a little bit on the back of my hand. Although it's not the best way to test, it did seem to have that fine balance, and I bought it.I've been using it almost daily now for around two months, and I am really delighted with it.A very nice, compact glass bottle with a pump dispenser and neatly fitting cap, it takes up hardly any room in my make up bag, or handbag. It dispenses the product really well and is simple to smooth onto my face, either using my fingertips or a sponge. It is even and natural looking, and I really do believe that it gives a 'radiance boost' as promised. The effect lasts all day.I will certainly continue to use this, and intend to stock up on more.

Amazing foundation! This has a natural lightweight finish and adds a lit from within glow to your skin. It is comfortable to wear and doesn't clog pores or cause breakouts. I am an NC25 in MAC and Bourjois Light Beige 53 is a perfect match for my light to medium skintone with yellow undertones. Love this foundation so much and I would recommend it to everyone, I make it work with my combination skin type by dusting with a bit of translucent powder after application. I regularly wear Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua and this is a great dupe of that formula. I first heard about this from watching Lisa Elderidge's makeup tutorials and she really raves about using it as a light base and then spot covering problem areas with concealer.Another plus point is that it comes with a convenient pump on the bottle so no mess either :)

I absolutely love this foundation, I used to buy it in stores such as Boots and Superdrug but I believe it has been discontinued in the UK. This foundation is my most favourite it has a dewy finish, perfect colour and doesn’t cake on! I usually feel like my skin is better for wearing this foundation. But my main reason for writing this review is to say a massive thank you to the seller of this item! Firstly I saw the price of these foundations £10.99 reduced to £6.26 which I could not believe so I thought I’d order four (albeit I have Amazon prime) I placed this order around half past 8-9 o’clock this morning and with free delivery all four came at 7 o’clock this evening! Perfectly sealed and in mint condition.Thank you to the seller - thank you Amazon!!

I really love this foundation. I used to use it a lot when I was younger, but “upgraded” to expensive versions as I grew older (Chanel mostly). I’ve found that with my skin being dry and pale - thanks to lockdown - I’ve struggled to use a foundation that doesn’t look orange and cakey, so I thought I’d turn back to an old favourite as a cheap interim. Lo and behold, I found I love this one more than the pricey versions. It’s very light, very dewy and doesn’t cake AT ALL - you can get as close as you like, it still looks like skin. Admittedly the coverage isn’t great - although you can layer - but I’m ok with that - I’d rather work on my skincare game. This isn’t being sold in the U.K.anymore so I’ve stocked up. Please don’t stop making this foundation!!!

This foundation is amazing. Has an amazing finish that’s quite dewy but not overly shiny and has great longevity when it’s on my face. I can wear this all day and it doesn’t really settle in any creases or separate. It also doesn’t cling to my dry patches easily like most other foundations which is amazing and creates a perfect base for the rest of my makeup.I have combination skin so I was worried that the dewy finish would leave me looking greasy in my t zone but this is perfect for me. I also have very sensitive skin that’s prone to allergies from a lot of foundations but this is perfect and doesn’t cause breakouts either.I’m really glad Amazon continues to stock this as it’s become unavailable to buy in UK stores.

I was quite excited about this foundation for some reason. The coverage is sheer-light, which basically makes it a tinted moisturizer. That's how I use it anyway. Its consistency is really thin too. My skin type is combination so it works for me.My only gripe is it doesn't last! Doesn't look like you have anything on in an hour or two. But mind you, that's when I haven't used any primer or setting spray, because again, I use it as a daily daytime moisturizer. Other than that, I like it. Nice sleek bottle, the shade fit me really well (51 Vanilla Claire), it's the lightest shade in the range for yellow undertones. If you're a 1W1 Bone in Estee Lauder DW, this would be a perfect match!

I am obsessed with this foundation for summer! So lightweight and refreshing and hydrating!! I have dry skin/ prone to oiliness around my T zone and the gel formula is so amazing! I have swapped out my double wear for this for the summer months, and will probably get the lighter shade for wear during the winter months. Even considering trying the liquid foundation version of this for days I fancy a little more coverage. My only gripe is this is in no way 16 hour wear as advertised!!! Maybe 4/5 hours before I would take it all off and reapply so I tend to wear this on days where I don't need that long lasting coverage. Will stick to my double wear for those occasions.

The cover is light. enough to even out skin tone and blur minor imperfections. not enough to hide blemishes, bruises, etc. It dries to a powdery finish. I have oily skin, I wore it without powder and it lasted for around 3-4 hours before my skin becomes oily again. It doesn't cling to any dry patches and smells very fruity. The smell is barely noticeable once applied and dried. The texture of the foundation isn't watery, not really a gel because it's not thick enough to be like a gel. I do love this foundation and do recommend this to those who do not need heavy coverage.

I can't believe I've only just discovered this little beauty and now I know I'll always have a bottle of this in my make up stash. All I can say is that its exactly like Chanel's vitalumiere aqua foundation but even better as it doesn't cling to any dry patches, nor does it come with the hefty price tag! So many people rave about this foundation in the beauty blogging world and I can see why. Just make sure you buy the correct colour for your skin tone, so you don't end up having to add a pinch of turmeric powder because you bought a lighter shade than required lol.

Since having the baby my skin has gone really dry around my nose and eyebrows. I have eczema but it’s like my skin actually flakes off. This makes the application of foundation impossible as you can literally see the dry patches. Since I’ve been using this as it’s a serum it goes into the skin without it being overpowering. I literally just dap my nose at the end to get a light coverage. The colour is a perfect make for my skin and now this is the only product I could use. Good for skin types that are dry and open pores

Really good make-up gives good coverage but feels light and comfortable in skin.I went on Superdrug to buy a new bottle, they are not selling it anymore.l went online to find reason why. Bourgeois are French company so it is imported to UK,it said it won't be importing to UK as we are no longer in Europe.Maybe it would cost too much to the company to do it l don't know.As always I was able to buy it on Amazon and it costs less than in shop.!!!It really is good make-up and once again THANK YOU AMAZON.
