The Beurer BC32 comes in a very handy, compact carry case and a comprehensive multilingual instruction manual. Two AAA batteries are also included meaning that the unit can be used upon receipt. The unit looks smaller in real life, measuring 7.2cm x 7cm, and weighs only 185 grams, including battery and carry case. This unit is particularly handy when you need to check readings at given intervals, thanks to an inbuilt memory which aids in keeping track of periodic blood pressure comparisons. The capability in detecting arrhythmia, which is an irregular rate or rhythm of the heartbeat, is a very useful feature indeed.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------A more in depth review of the modes of operation:On switching on the monitor,No.1 is displayed. No.2 is then displayed by pressing the + key. Each of these modes sport 60 memory spaces, which record all the data, including date and time. Two persons mode:The two memory banks can be used to save results of two different people. It is very important that each of the two users remember and check the correct user number (only 2) when taking measurements so as not to disrupt the average. Each of the two User modes displays AVG blood pressure and heartbeat by pressing the MEM key, and further presses will walk the user through the last 60 readings.Single person mode:This mode is particularly useful for monitoring measurements at a two specific times during the day. On switching on the monitor, No.1 is displayed and this can be used for a morning reading. Pressing the + button will take the user to No.2, and this can be used for an evening reading. Now, when in No.1 pressing of the MEM key, will display the average readings for morning, whilst No.2 will display the evening averages.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Being a wrist monitor, it is of utmost importance to follow the instructions well, specifically in keeping the monitor at heart level during measurement and to wear loose clothing. This applies to all wrist monitors. The advantages of the wrist monitor over the upper arm ones are the ease of use, yet the latter would generally give more precise results. Yet even if your specific unit tends to under or over read, the advantage of such devices is that the trend can be monitored. One should not wait until heart related problems are diagnosed prior to purchasing a good pressure monitor. Invest in your well being!!These monitors should by no means replace regular check ups at the doctor or hospital.

I bought this wrist BP monitor rather than the more popular reviewed Panasonic EW3006 (rated quite highly) because it was 1/2 the price, took the gamble as no reviews at the time.Pros:- Quality good for price (£18 at time)Easy to readHard case for storageEasy to use compared to upper arm cuff, small and light, hence easily portable.Found DIASTOLIC figure to compare well against an upper arm cuff that will always be more accurate.Cons:-Slightly awkward to position on wist but probably similar for all wrist cuffs.I've fond the SYSTOLIC figure can be up to 10/15 points lower compared to upper arm cuff that will be more accurate.Overall.Would have got 5 stars if the positioning was easier (but I'm guessing all wrist cuffs to suffer a similar issue)and if the SYS was closer, however, for the price it's good as you can trend you BP if like me you have erratic readings. The more important DIA reading appears to be more accurate.Remember any problems see your doctor, but this portable small device, that is quick and easy to use, allows you to help your GP out by providing more readings when you are at home or work which should help understand any condition and subsequent treatment and whether it's working.

Professional device and very portable - well made and packaged - protective sturdy carry case included. Easy to use, just set the date and time (little small for my reading sight although the main readings are nice and big) and follow the instructions - allows 2 people to keep 60 readings in memory so great for a couple. Instructions are clear just make sure you use it as advised and report to your doctor where advised - I am already on 3 meds for hypertension - just changed from a big beta blocker dose (made me feel tired for months - wish I'd gone back to doctors sooner but hey-ho I'm a stupid bloke!) so this is just the ticket to see how I'm faring. I bought this cos I've macho biceps(!?)and didn't fancy having to buy an extra cuff if I purchased an upper arm model. This one fits the bill and is small and portable as a bonus for travel etc. Well worth the money and delivery was very prompt.

It works exactly as described, and very simple to operate, but who knew how tight the cuff goes? Interesting to see how your blood pressure changes with just the littlest influences. Follow the instructions though and keep the same routine then you can keep track of these changes. With relatively little effort you can have quite a significant effect on your blood pressure over all, managed to get mine to drop quite a lot, and even stay in the green band - which cannot be a bad thing in the end - surely?.

My BP kept measuring high at the GPs so I bought this to monitor it at home when i would be more relaxed. Arrived quickly and very easy to use with the memory function being very useful too. It does occassionally come up error if you move your hand slightly but if you follow the directions exactly then it works well . Measurements seem accurate as thery compare well with a friend's upper arm monitor. This wrist one is incidentally much less uncomfortable to use than the arm cuff

We bought this to replace a monitor we had for a number of years that ceased to work. I am impressed it certainly does look like a quality item that we have no issues with using. As regards the device's accuracy, I have no idea with nothing to compare it to that we know is calibrated spot on but because of the build quality and its efficiency of operation I think I can trust it.

great tool and easy to use keeps me happy as i now know i am ok blood pressure wise and i also know that it is only secondary in keeping me healthy if any annomilies arise i can contact doctor quicker if i have any health queries due to blood pressure as i have had a few small tias in the past

umm I love the size and design but I'm a bit uncertain if it works as well as a standard upper arm cuff machine. When I compare the two the wrist one always seems to read so much higher which is not comforting. I reserve judgment if you don't need portability get an upper arm machine.

pleased enough with the pressure monitor easy enough to learn, but one drawback is it takes quite while to give u a reading.I have another one, bought 2 years ago and the reading is very quick, I actually prefer it.....but we need two......but good enough product.....

Does the job, as stated on the can. So simple, and easy to use. Clear, easy to read monitor. The testee must remain perfectly still during operation. Sneezing, or even swallowing is mega out. Despite this one operational bug, I would recommend to anyone.

Bought this as my Wife has had a roller coaster with her blood pressure. It seems pretty accurate (not as accurate as the upper arm pressure readers). Accurate enough for what we needed. Heart rate, arythmia warning etc. Good bit of kit for the price.

Nice piece of gear. 4* just because for the first time you will definitely put it a little tight and when you press start to read your presure, it almost make you cry by more tightenning on the strip. Although it is not a fault of the manufracturer.

I was diagnosed with high blood pressure so bought this to check it myself. It's fairly easy to use but you must get it positioned correctly or it doesn't work well! It has lots of functions that I never use but some will find them useful.

Got this to keep an eye on my BP as suggested by my Doctor - doesn't always agree with the reading on his 'cuff' monitor - but gives me a good enough indication of trends. Large clear display and very simple to use.
