I absolutely love this doll! I purchased her in my local grocery store, of all places, shocked to see any dolls of colour sold here in the UK, let alone one this beautifully dark. For Christmas 2015, I was combing several Amazon Websites to find the ones I could get.Her legs are akimbo, with hands on hips, both arms fixed in the bent position, which may bother some who prefer more flexibility-- See Barbie Style or Made-to-Move/Endless Moves dolls for that. Personally, I find that younger girls may prefer less articulation (of Fashionista dolls), as the hands and feet (of Style/Endless Moves dolls) are frequently in awkward-looking positions, and strutting down the runway requires re-straightening of the knee joints. They have apparently changed her hair from the planned edition. Look closely at the box photo, rather than the others. The one I purchased has truer African American/Black hair--much more black than brown--rather than the brown relaxed (straightened) then curled look in the un-boxed promotional photos.I definitely appreciate the diversity Mattel promotes with this line, and whatever distribution change has made them more easily available, not just in the US. More please... e.g. is the Lea sculpt the only Asian face?

My only niggle with the doll is her hair. The promotional photo shows her with bouncy hair virtually on top of her head. The one I've been sent has bouncy hair starting on a level with her ears as if the style has been pulled down.(Could this be how this doll is really presented.?). I'm not sending her back, I can't be bothered with the hassle This for me is the downside for buying from a warehouse. One cannot choose the doll you specifically want. You are relying on some one else who is rushed and doesn't have an eye for detail. I don't intend to remove her from the box, she is for display only. Woolworths used to display dolls by the bucket load(OK, slight exaggeration)but you could always choose as even as a child I was particular. For me the best ever range was the 'Fashion Fever' dolls in their oval display boxes. Which you could undo & put together again. The dolls knees always bent if you wanted to sit them down and the fashions were so much more varied and exciting than they are now. You're lucky to get one doll who wears trousers these days.

This doll is even more beautiful in person! She's absolutely stunning with her dark brown skin, gorgeous face mold and big, curly hair. My only complain is her awkward body position. She's not jointed in the knees/elbows and stands in a slanted pose, which looks great on display but makes her difficult to play with - she cannot even sit properly. Right now we keep her in the book shelf until Mattel (hopefully) releases a Made-To-Move doll with the same skin tone. If you have a jointed S.I.S. Chandra dolls you can also donate her body to this beauty, their skin tones match perfectly.. We don't want to sacrifice our S.I.S. Chandra as we like her too so we'll have to wait.

This was one of 4 barbies my daughter got for Christmas, but cannot fault this doll at all!My little one wanted one with pink hair to match mummys hair, so we were both chuffed with this! The dollis sloghtly bigger than the usual barbie dolls (not a bad thing! As i love how barbie are representing so many different women!!), however it means none of the dresses my wee one has for her barbies, fits this one.Having said that its now given me ideas for her birthday :)All in all its a great doll, obviously good quality, delivery was fantastically quick100% would recommend for any barbie lovers out there, young or old!

Barbie Fashionista Dolls are great value for money and very pretty. This doll has a lovely little dress (although it looks like a blouse and skirt, it comes off as a one piece), black shoes and a white bracelet. The scalloped skirt has a nice, floral pattern and the doll has a pretty face and long, dark hair, with a fringe. She has good play value, but although she can move her arms and legs, they are not fully jointed (ie her legs/arms do not bend). However, she has quickly become one of my daughter's favourite Barbie dolls and I agree that she is very sweet.

This doll is very cute. I especially love her skin tone and her hair. She has a stylish undo, black curly hair with purple streaks. Her dress is nice and stylish. I like the mbili face sculpt. What I'm not a fan of are her eyes. First of all, she hast too much make up for my liking. Second, her eye color is unnaturally yellow (almost light ochre color) and she also has yellowish lines in her eye whites just under her upper eye lashes. Seems weird to me. Other than that, she's very pretty and lovely.

Great product and very competitive price from Argos as always. However, care should be taken when ordering as (I understand it) the Fashionistas range is a lottery as to what doll you get and this isn’t clear on the Argos website. My daughter wanted a Ken doll. The Argos website showed Ken on the Fashionistas page. I ordered (who I thought was) Ken. When I was presented with my purchase it most definitely wasn’t Ken.The girl the served me was really helpful and my problem was resolved.

I bought 2 of them, but had to make trips to 4 Argos shops to get the dolls I wanted as they only stock 2-4 at each store. I had no problems with swapping them, so all good. The "real figure" ones are quite chubby, will not fit in regular slim Barbie clothes. Some of them are slim and tall, some much shorter. I think it was a great idea to introduce those dolls and hope they become more popular. I would also like to see more stretchy clothes for Barbie, so they could be swapped.

My daughter absolutely loved the new fashioned Barbie, she is a bit of a tom boy so the very short shaved looking hair style was a real hit with her, She said she looks like a proper cat walk Barbie that has just been to a fashion show. The arms and legs moved easily, the clothes are easy to put on and take off. She’s made of high quality material, the limbs are solid so don’t bend out of shape or squash like some of the hollow limbed dolls you can get.Highly recommend.

This doll was a gift for my grandaughter. She is adorable. Her hair is lovely and looks very natural. The face is very pretty with a oriental look which makes her unusual from other dolls. The dress has a lovely skirt although the "top" is a very pale blue and looks a little like a faded white. The doll has a nice shape and looks like a natural teenage as opposed to some of the more womanly style Barbies about- Great for a collector or a little one as she is very pretty.

Its a Barbie for the modern day girl. I got one svelt, long haired Barbie type doll and another that was clearly modelled on a younger girl. She had puppy fat and small chest. I thought this was quite refreshing, it promotes a healthy body image for our children. As always, fantastic service from Argos Kings Heath. I reserved these via fast track and staff always go out of their way to help customers. Thank you argos Kings Heath

Great Barbie doll, fast delivery and cheaper than in stores, bourght for my daughter. They have changed so much from when I was growing up in the 90s, this is the second fashionista doll I have bourght, it's a great diverse collection, but I do miss the standard classic barbie dolls with career/hair styling themes, the original blonde, brunette, african American and Skipper! What happened to Skipper!?

My daughter's love this Barbie, they both love to play with dolls but I'm always put off by Barbies that are unrealistic and 'perfect'. I love that this range of dolls are all shapes and sizes and realistic to real people. I think that this will help young girls who feel that there is a realistic body image that everyone should conform to. We will definitely be buying more from this range!

Promised my daughter a treat for behaving so well and these are what she chose...she loves them! Fun hair and outfits which were age appropriate and I loved the fact that they come in a variety of shapes and size eg. curvy hips and thighs, teaching little girls a healthy attitude towards the reality of appearance!!!Very happy and will be buying more if my daughter continues to behave!!!
