This is a pretty teen doll to add to any collection, when I was a child Skipper was a perky bright-blonde cheerleader, but she seems to have been rebooted in the image of her former friend Courtney (whom I loved) with darker hair which creates a very conventionally pretty doll, but the choice to give her a lilac streak through her hair is a playful one and gives Skipper far more personality than the doll of my childhood.It is a shame she isn't more articulated though especially with the Babysitter factor- she has the basic 5 points of articulation (hips, armpits, neck) whilst rival brands have standardised at 11 at a similar price point.A little more spent on this would've produced a dolly with more play value for being capable of more interaction with the included accessories.However this set is amazing for accessories especially as it includes a baby! A travel cot/playpen with mobile, a high chair and feeding accessories are also included with an interactive feature of a spoon (resembling an old fashioned eyeshadow sponge) which if dipped in cold water and 'fed' to baby leaves baby with smears across their face which can be removed with a warm washcloth (included).This is so much fun and can be matched up with other sets in the babysitters and across the Barbie house range too and it's nice to include nurturing toys amongst the girl-positive choices we try to make.

Over the years we've had a number of Barbie dolls. They're a firm family favourite in many household especially for little girls from siblings, cousins, nieces and our own four year old daughter.This is a pretty little set of a young babysitter and a child of about 3 or 5 years old judging by the facial features. The young child has a glow in the dark night dress, with her you get a toothbrush, toothpaste, cuddly toy and a reading book, favourite blanket and a cot bed.A very apt set for a little girl, as all that's included, form my daughter's normal bedtime routine.The babysitter is herself wearing a 2 piece leggings and tank top outfit featuring a 'low battery' logo.Designed perfectly to suit the downtime routine for bed. Pink slides finish her outfit off well. The babysitter has a more welcoming natural, body positive build - not like the scantily clad Barbies of the past.Two things could have been done better:• The accompanying doll size little book, could have had a printed interior. Instead of what's best described as a "blank card".• The quality of the dolls aren't as good as others that my daughter has. They feel more 'plasticky'.The set as a whole, is still pretty good value. My daughter has had a few hours of play with her new dolls and has taken them up with her to include them in her 'real' bedtime routine.4 stars

This is a gorgeous doll, and I'm so pleased to see this BAME teen Skipper type doll, the mold although basically the Skipper face but in a darker skin tone creates a very conventionally pretty doll, but the choice to give her textured hair rather than relaxed locks is a lovely one and really lifts the entire doll to gorgeous.It is a shame she isn't more articulated though especially with the Babysitter factor- she has the basic 5 points of articulation (hips, armpits, neck) whilst rival brands have shifted to 9 and often 11 as the entry level at a similar price point. A little more spent on this would've produced a dolly coapable of more interaction with the included accessories.However this set is excellent for accessories including a baby!There is also a travel cot/playpen with mobile, a high chair and feeding accessories including a eyeshadow applicator like spoon which if dipped in cold water and 'fed' to baby leaves baby with smears across their face which can be removed with a warm washcloth (included).This is so much fun and can be matched up with other sets too and whilst I don't want my daughters to just consider childcare as a girls chore it's nice to include nurturing toys and the pieces can be redistributed in a house to make a family too. Also kudos to Barbie as there is a teen boy in the Babysitters range too.

Mattel have twigged on to a brilliant idea with the creation of the Babysitters inc. a friend of mine looks after her niece on a regular basis and I gave her the Barbie to give to her niece in order to get a proper review of the product. Her niece loved the doll and the accessories but she also drew parallels between the smaller doll and babysitter and herself and my friend.Children are imaginative and this toy caught the child's imagination because she could associate it with herself and this is why certain dolls mean more to a child than others do. My friend loved the detail; from the design of the babysitters outfit and the catchy sleep mode logo on her top, to the detailed accessories like the bed,blanket, daytime dress and nightwear, toothbrush and tooth paste, storybook, teddy and even a kitten to curl up and sleep.Routine is important for kids at nighttime - clean teeth, get to bed, listen to a bedtime story to wind down and this could be encouraged with a young child using this particular set.The set comprises of well constructed and colourful parts and as some parts are very small and could constitute a choking hazard care needs to be taken to keep these parts away from toddlers who are inclined to put everything in their mouth.This is another excellent Barbie production. Recommended.

Barbie GHV88 Skipper Babysitters Inc Doll and AccessoriesBarbie was first introduced in 1959, I can remember my elder sister having several of these dolls at the time. It amazes me that they are still finding new Barbie's to release, even now in 2020. I'm not sure of how many different Barbie's there are, but it must be a huge list by now. It appears there are 45 categories, with goodness knows how many different dolls in each category?This particular Barbie is designed to look like a young teenage babysitter, she is wearing modern casual attire. The Barbie doll is wearing tight colourful leggings with a loose sleeveless vest. Her long hair is styled into a pony tail,hair colour is dark with purple stripes.Supplied with Barbie is a young toddler along with her bed. The toddler has colourful pyjamas that glow in the dark. Also supplied is a blanket, bedtime story book, teddy bear, pussy cat, toothbrush and toothpaste.Out of all the Barbie sets that we've received, this has to be the most fun to have. Our little girl loves playing with the babysitter, making sure the toddler cleans her teeth, tucks her up in bed with teddy, then read a bedtime story.A great fun Barbie set - Recommended!Thank you for reading my review, I hope you have found it helpful.

A wonderful barbie set perfect for kids who loves barbie and keen to babysit in real.This toy comes packed in a see through plastic making it easy to see what you are spending on ,it consist of a Barbie named skipper ,a toddler ,a very realistic looking bathtub and some accessories (pink towel and a bottle of shampoo).It is a great fun to fill the tub with water and see the toddler doll splash with her hands for your kid and also for you.It is a very creative way to stimulate your child imagination ,I bought this for my niece and I have never seeing or heard her doing and saying such motherly things.She put the pretent shampoo on the toddler asked her to close eyes and then washed it off with water and asked the toddler is she ok with temperature ...lol..Overall a fine product for kids to pretend play a baby sitter ,the set would looked amazing in a barbie doll house.i loved the fact that it is only around 13£ ,it will ba a perfect gift for a young girl .Just a suggestion if the company can create gender neutral dolls so girls and boys can play with them with same attachment .

This is a really great set and my daughter was so excited to try it out, she's a big Barbie fan and is collecting as many as she can and plays with them nearly every day.The set features Skipper the Babysitter, the Baby and a cot with a spinning mobile and many accessories including the magic spoon sponge! (Which is basically an eyeshadow-type applicator which when you get it wet with cold water and 'feed' the Baby it makes messy food appear around Babys mouth and then you can wipe it away with warm water)The doll itself has lovely curly, fluffy hair which my daughter loves brushing as has one straight arm and one bent so she can actually hold the Baby which is great.The arms are not jointed so you can bend them at the elbow but it's not really needed.It's a really fun, 'all you need' set, you can also buy other Babies and Barbie Children to add in if you wanted to expand the gameplay - my daughter has been adding in all of her Barbies and plays for hours with this. I'd highly recommend this!

If your child likes playing with Barbie dolls then they will love this set. My 6 year old niece spends hours playing, both alone and with friends, with the multitude of Barbies and accessories she's collected and this new addition has been a big hit. She loves Skipper's hair and outfit - she thinks the doll looks just like her!My niece talks away to the baby (in an American accent of course) and loves making the food marks appear on the baby’s face when using the sponge (must be cold and damp to work its magic) and then cleaning it up with a warm damp cloth. The small sponge and cloth are both included but an eye shadow brush and any small piece of cloth would suffice if the originals are lost - which inevitably happens over time.Overall,I feel the Barbie Babysitter Set is good value for money, especially as batteries are not required to enhance the toy’s features, however I do not think it is suitable for younger children because of the small accessories included.

This set went down very well with the grandchildren. Over to my wife for comment:“This set is a great concept, and includes everything you need for Skipper to be a perfect babysitter - pushchair, toys, baby wipes and many more accessories. A lot of thought has gone into this package with everything that a babysitter should need when taking charge of a little one.The pushchair is pushable and is the perfect height too. The baby doll is removable from the pushchair. and I really like the romper suit she is wearing,The accessories are made to be held by Skipper, and the blue bag over her shoulder holds her mobile phone. Skipper herself is well dressed for her job, and her clothes are removable,so they are interchangeable with any others you child may own.With the addition of the child;s teddy bear, this makes a really charming addition to any Barbie collection.A very good idea and well thought out. Excellent value and lots of play opportunity.”

This Barbie doll set is part of a bigger collection and are collectables of the future. Keep them unopened is the best way to collect them, and they will become investments for future generations.Of course, they are dolls and really aimed at kids to play with. The set I was sent was the Bath Playset. This consists of larger doll (the babysitter), a small doll (the baby) and a bath. As well as the bath you get a few little extras like a towel, a small bottle and a rubber duck. The rubber duck is actually part of the bath and will blow bubbles into the bath when squeezed.There is more than enough to keep a child amused. The only part I would be concerned with is the little plastic bottle when it comes to very young children.It’s easy to pop into the mouth or ears, so I would hide this away.The quality is good but not outstanding. The price is very fair though, in my opinion.Overall, a nice doll set for any kid or grown up.

My daughter is currently obsessed with Barbie and the sets, she has a huge family of them that get played with most days.This is a pretty doll, looks like Barbie but with brown hair. My daughter tells me her name is Skipper. I do not know how accurate this is lolShe doesn’t move as easily as some of the others my daughter has and that gets a little frustrating for her at points, overall though she is working around it.This comes with some great accessories that include a baby, a highchair, travel cot and an interactive spoon. The spoon (if dipped in cold water) is used to feed the baby and the water aspect leaves “food stains” on the baby’s face.This is easily cleaned with a warm cloth.This is another excellent quality set from the Barbie range.£23.99 admittedly (I feel) is a little steep for this set, I wouldn’t pay any more than £18, however my daughter loves this and that is what matters :-)

The baby's bib can be removed and so can the Babysitters clothes if wished so that she can change if your child has other Barbie clothing.The baby has a colour change feature where the face changes between clean to one with food around it.A really nice set and perfect for any child who loves their Barbie dolls.

This is a great set for any Barbie fans. It features a Skipper doll, complete with funky purple-streaked hair, and a smaller child doll. Also included is a toy bath, rubber duck, towel and shampoo/bubble bath bottle.The accessories are fairly basic, but cute, and the two dolls are both poseable, with movable arms and legs. Skipper has a removable two-piece outfit (top and skirt) and removable shoes, whereas the smaller doll just has a painted-on swimsuit. It would be nice if there had been an outfit to dress her in after her 'bath', as she is smaller than the standard Barbie dolls and therefore their clothes don't fit her.Overall I recommend this for girls and boys who enjoy playing make-believe with dolls and doll house sets.It is well-made and well-presented, as you would expect from the Barbie brand, and my daughter loves the new Barbie sister dolls (Skipper, Chelsea and Stacie).

My granddaughter loves anything Barbie related and this superb set is just the gift for her and I'm sure any Barbie fan would be thrilled to find this in their Christmas stocking or under the Christmas tree.This set is has interactive elements and lots of playability. It includes a full size Barbie Skipper Baby Sitting doll in a cute outfit compete with pink shoes, a baby doll whose face has a colour change feature...for a food splattered face (use sponge) and for a clean face (use cloth), highchair and crib (with spinning mobile). Other accessories included are a jar of baby food, box of cereal, a bowl, a toy, a bib and a bottle.As expected all items are of a decent quality, pretty and very colourful.My granddaughter has been thoroughly enjoying herself playing with Skipper and babysitting set...it's her new favourite toy...at the moment.Brilliant and it's not a bad price either.
