My granddaughter loves anything Barbie related and this superb set is just the gift for her and I'm sure any Barbie fan would be thrilled to find this in their Christmas stocking or under the Christmas tree.This set includes a full size Barbie doll in a cute outfit complete with a galaxy inspired printed dress, a silver coloured necklace and platform shoes. It also comes with four stencils, a stencil tool, a spray bottle, a brush, two hair bands and two hair clips.This set is fully interactive and has lots of playability. Barbie's luxurious hair actually changes colour (with a little bit of work admittedly). When you receive this Barbie doll her hair is already in vibrant colour change mode,you need to reset her hair by rinsing it in hand hot water, this changes it back to the lighter colours. Once her hair is dry you can use icy water, the supplied stencils, bands and clips to change the style, design and colour of Barbie's hair. I filled the spray bottle with cold water, added a little ice and placed it in the coldest part of our fridge while waiting for Barbie's hair to dry.My granddaughter (nearly four years of age) and I had loads of fun changing the Barbie dolls hair and clothes (we already had a good stock of Barbie clothes). I don't think my granddaughter would be able to change Barbie's hair colour by herself without adult assistance, so this set is probably more suited to an older child.As expected all items are of a decent quality, pretty and very colourful. My only reservation is that this particular Barbie doll is not very poseable and one of her arms is bent at the elbow making it a little harder to change her clothes.All in all this is a lovely fun Barbie playset and it's not too bad a price either.

My Daughter loves the bright colours of Barbie's hair and other than a few goes at trying to add patterns to her hair just to see if it works I'll be honest that my Daughter has been more interested in just playing with her and prefers her hair in the bright colours which she advises are pretty.I can confirm that the hair colour does change though and as she arrives with her hair already in the darker colours you need to wet her hair with warm water to change it to the lighter shade before you start to use the stencils to add patterns as they won't work on the darker hair which you can change back to by wetting the hair with cold water.Barbie comes with a stencil clip which holds the stenciland the hair into place while your child sprays it and there are 4 different stencils with different patterns on them to choose from. She also comes with a hairbrush and water spray bottle, two small clips (not really much use but sort of a nice idea) and 3 hair bobbles (again not much use and ours snapped so my Daughter had been using her small hair bobbles on her hair).Barbie has gorgeously soft hair and comes dressed in a space style dress with a silver necklace and shoes.A lovely doll and a nice idea especially if your child likes to style their hair and it does work but you need to follow the instructions first.

I see other reviews saying the hair doesn't change colour. The Barbie comes in "hair-already-changed" mode, so it has to be reset before you try to style it with the stencils. If you rinse her hair in warm/hot water, the hair will become light and ready for styling! Once you do so, you can use icy water and the stencils provided (or go freestyle) and discernible patterns will appear. In that aspect the Barbie was good- easy to use and functional styling. An issue I had is that strands of the hair kept falling out - I don't know if that's normal with Barbies? Also, when did they stop making knees that bend??This is a fun but inflexible Barbie with nice hair, hair brush and hair accessories.I had fun playing with the hair and so I rated it highly, but I do think the overall quality of the doll isn't as good as I expected it to be.(review from family member)

There are 2 videos on Amazon showing a young girl making Barbie's hair change by herself,but my 7 year old granddaughters needed some help from me, and it was a bit of a kerfuffle. First we had to rinse her hair in warm water and wait for it to dry,then we found we had no ice cubes and had to make some. Once we had a bowl of icy water,we filled the spray bottle and kept it in the bowl to keep it cold,then we slid a stencil into the holder and clipped it onto her hair,then sprayed on the ice cold water and the colours really did change and the pattern emerged! After we finished we rinsed her hair in warm water ready for next time. To play with this Barbie you really do need help from an older person,particularly with the ice cubes,and I think it's a bit expensive for what you get,so I've taken off 1 star.

My 3 year old grand-daughter is going to love this. She loves Barbie dolls (she's already got several) and she loves playing with water, so the fact that you style this Barbie's hair with water should appeal to her. The hair comes already coloured so you need to rinse it with warm water to get the colour out before you begin again. Then you use the templates provided to give her different coloured hair. Basically you spray the water through the stencils to decorate Barbie's hair. So, apart from the doll, you get a hairbrush, stencils, a couple of clips and bands and the spray bottle. There is an instruction leaflet in very small print in several languages. However,the price of over £20 for what is actually just a few bits of plastic is rather extortionate.

With Barbie you learn the lesson that doing your hair takes time, so plan for this hair changing activity, and also ask for adult help too.First you need to prepare some ice cold water in the plastic spray container provided. Whilst this is cooling you need to warm the hair up in warm water and then dry. Be careful as you brush the hair as you need to avoid pulling on knots which can lead to hair loss! Then spray with your cold water whilst also using the stencils provided for added effects like hearts or stripes.Make sure you also have the time to help and join in theBarbie fun.

My two nieces, aged eight and nine both enjoyed playing with this doll. The hair colour changed when sprayed as it was supposed to and the supplied accessories worked well.They enjoyed playing with this particular Barbie for a long time and she has remained favourite amongst many of her Barbie peers who cohabit in the same dolls' house. I would imagine that the hair won't be sustainable regarding the colour change in the long term, but hey ho, every Barbie is a bonus as far as the girls are concerned.

Barbie, a classic toy that just never got old. She got more stylish with the years and far more relevant than she was. This latest set is no different and comes together with a heap of accessories for her new career. Ours is currently sat in her new little home in the gigantic house she now lives in, complete with career themed rooms.As always, Barbie is beautifully made with brushable hair. She is very colourful and petitely proportioned. Perfect for any little girl wanting to play dollies.

Hair changing dolls are nothing new, but that doesn't stop them from being popular and novel, and adapting to new technologies as time marches on. This Barbie changes when you spray the hair with the 'Magic formula' included, adds a dash or splattering of patterned colour depending on which utensil you use. It works well enough and my girls have no problem working this functionality into their imaginative Barbie play, sprucing her up for a variety of occasions.

Nicely packaged without too much plastic or card although there is some but way less than normal. you get everything pictured and her hair is gorgeous says my daughter. spray her with water and use your own skills or stencils etc to create patterns on her hairstyle. nothing remains once dry so you are free to restyle as often as you like.Up to mattels normal standards but maybe a tad over priced and could be more worth while at tghe £16-17 mark.

Very pretty doll with amazing colour blue and purple hair. The hair is very long and if you fix a stencil to it ,which you have a special frame to do so, then spray with cold water it makes s patterns on the hair. Great in theory but in reality you have a soggy wet doll wearing no clothes and abandoned in the sink. I love the dolls hair but I collect Barbies and this isn't one I would collect.

This was much better than expected. The clothing and doll quality was really high. Detailing was very good and the accessories were well made as well. These will make excellent Christmas gifts and as I’ve had the other ones from this series as well I can certainly recommend the series. Definately a Christmas buy !

My 5 year old loves this Barbie. The colourful hair that changes with a simple spray of cold water means that she's styling and changing they hair frequently. It dries quick with a towel and the accessories are great too with nun ours stencils a brush, spray bottle and clips.

I just love these dolls with rainbow hair. This one is so awesome and the dress is fabilous. I washed her hair in warm water then it turned t the lighter colors. after that you can spray with cold to change the color. Im ust gonna keep it the lighter color. shes adoreable.
