The general view on Barbie may be a little mixed as she continues to divide opinion with her unattainable body shape and Hollywood looks, but at least with the Barbie Careers range they have her earning a crust. In this case in a pair of dungarees and wellington boots as a farmer. This is a great little pack that can work for Barbie fans or kids that are not so sure about her, but who do like lots of little toys to play with. My child is not the most pink impressed, so a doll that also comes with a tractor and some animals is just right.The toys themselves are well molded, even if all the animals on the small side; obviously baby animals. The cute factor is still present, a little bit of pink here and there,with some hidden hearts around the place. I actually think the balance between the twee side of Barbie and a career is well done. I can see this particular toy being popular with a wider audience than her straight up fashion style dolls.The pack may be a Barbie one, but it is the tractor that some kids will like the most. It moves well and the trailer can be attached on the back to move the animals or any imaginary dung they may have created. There is a clever clear attachment on the rear of the tractor seat so that you can click Barbie in and she drives it. You could even place some of the most city based Barbies in the seat and give them a tastes of the Simple Life.

What can one say about the iconic Barbie, she is still as beautiful as ever with long blonde hair. This Barbie comes in a good size presentation box sat upon a tractor with a trailer. There are some very cute animals; a calf and a lamb, two very tiny chicks; a hen; a snall bale of hay and a thermos flask. The tractor and trailer's wheels turn for push along play and the back of the trailer opens for enhanced play (my grandchildren used the bale of hay to 'jump' the animals into the cart). Barbie is dressed in denim overalls and wellingtons. The box opens up to provide a nice backdrop of a farm scene that my grandchildren like to use but you have to carefully remove the animals that are securedin plastic bubbles so you don't tear it.This Barbie is very stiff limbed and its such a shame they didn't put a poseable doll in with this set, she sits on the tractor with a back brace to hold her in position but still looks a bit odd with straight arms and legs. It is a refreshing change to see her in work clothes and removeable wellington boots instead of the glamourous outfits she is usually presented with. The farm animals are so cute but you have to put the tiny ones out of reach of toddlers. This set is average price for Barbie and is another for my grandchildren's collection (She will probably be farming in a ball gown and heels shortly).

Barbie sits on her tractor really well,but is a bit unsteady standing on her feet; her feet are amazingly small,even shod in her husky Farmer- type boots.Still, the tractor's great; not too pink and girlie,and her chicken fits on the bonnet! If you put the chicks next to the hen,the calf and lamb can fit in the trailer; there's also the smallest bale of hay I've ever seen,and a bottle to feed the young animals.I think it's brilliant that Barbie now has loads of careers; no more just chilling with Ken and different outfits in a camper van,she is now going out there and getting her hands dirty, and I for one applaud that. Her chest also seems to have shrunk dramatically; she is still exceptionally tall and slender for a doll,but she is more in proportion now,and I'm very happy about that too.This is a nice play set for young girls; if it teaches them to aspire to a career with animals, rather than just trying out various sets of clothes,that's got to be a good thing.

Although Barbie divides opinion, my daughter, and niece, have always been fans and I do approve of the career sets, which, at least, show her having a job. This set sees Barbie taking off her high heel shoes, and putting on dungarees, and boots, down on the farm.This set has lots of play value, with a tractor and a little wagon (pink, obviously!), which Barbie can drive around. The back of the wagon opens and there are a host of cute, animals, which can go for a ride. There is a calf, a lamb, two chicks and a mother hen, as well as a bottle, so Barbie can care for the little ones.Barbie’s legs do not bend, which make her look a little clumsy on the tractor, but I doubt children will notice,or care. I think this is a nice set, which children will love playing with – my testers certainly did and it has become a bit of a favourite.

He here is the world-famous Barbie regaled in farming gear and sometimes sat astride her marvelous tractor just before she mucks out the pigs (neither muck or pigs are included but there is a lamb, a hen, some chicks and a cow. Yes I think it is a Cow).This is aimed at 4 -8 year olds but I had to prise it from my elderly neighbour with a crowbar. I think that with Barbie being ageless and relatively timeless, a doll like this will pull at the heartstrings of many a big child who may remember playing with her in their younger days.For the younger ones, this is fantastic- hours of posable fun for what I think is a highly reasonable price.And anything that gets them away from a swipe screen has got to be good right?I mean a swipe screen never milked a cow .But I bet they are working on it.

A typical Barbie set. I expect any 5 year old (or there abouts) would love her. Our grand daughter does. Barbie herself looks as glamorous and well turned out as ever. Perhaps a little too glam for a farming...I'd hate to think what raking out the pig pen would do for that expensive hair do and manicure. Anyway she also comes with a handy tractor to help keep her designer boots out of the mud. Along with some friendly looking farm animals. Strangely, to me anyway, nothing is to scale. Barbie looks like a bit of a giant as both the tractor and the animals are all far smaller in relation to Barbie than you'd expect. But then I'm a middle age man so no longer see the world through the same eyes as a child.That aside it'll make a fine gift for any Barbie lover.

This set offers some decent play value. The box also provided a bit of a backdrop (for a bit, before it became too beat up). The animals are exactly the same ones that are in the zoo vet set, which had some pros and cons. It was nice to double up animals between the sets, but it would have been great had they been slightly different.The box was larger than anticipated. It has been a gift my daughter has now picked out for 2 of her friends’ birthdays. She loves wrapping and giving a “big box”, and feedback from the friends’ parents has been very positive. Their daughters have enjoyed receiving this set and thankfully, it has been a set that neither friend had already.Along with the other reviews,we found Amazon to have the best price as well.

Barbie FRM18 Careers Farmer Tractor, Farm Yard is a great "Barbie" alternative compared to the usual Barbie doll we all know. I love how this doll has stood the test of time and even years later I played with Barbie when I was a child, my own girls love to play with her, This Barbie is part of the Careers range and it is a very good one as there is a lot within a large box.I like the red tractor and its little trailer as well as the animals and other items included. The tractor though small is a good replica of an actual tractor which will please our chief toy tester!! She loves Barbie and she loves tractors, therefore,this is a perfect play item for her personally.A good toy which I am happy to recommend.

Farmer Barbie makes a nice change from the usual Glamour Barbie(s) that are taking over the house. It's actually a nice playset for little girls (or boys, of course) and can be added to with already owned animals and farm sets. The animals in the set are a bit on the small size compared to Barbie but we're over-run with animal figures here so Barbie isn't short of a bit of extra livestock to look after now. The tractor is more of a quadbike size in comparison but the kids don't seem to register that and have played with little else it since it arrived. Nice set with lots of play value and would make a lovely gift.

We love this modern Barbie set, which is a mash-up of the usual immaculate Barbie and a set a farm accessories that you would find in any playset. Even down on the farm Barbie can't resist full make-up and designer faded dungarees, but she'll soon get into the swing of things driving the tractor around and feeding the lamb and calf with a baby bottle.The tractor is great, but the other accessories look very cheap, especially the world's smallest hay bale.But no matter, Barbie is the star, as usual, and this set is going to delight 4-6 year olds everywhere.

It’s good to see a range of Barbie dolls that do more than just look glamourous. Now Barbie has a career in this case as a farmer, complete with small tractor, trailer and baby animals. Useful as a conversation starter about where food comes from and what happens on a farm as well as what it’s like to work on one. The tractor and trailer make a nice playset to use with another farm playset and other animals. Barbie can still have her hair brushed and put into different styles and can of course wear other clothes and shoes. A nice gift set for a young girl.

I live in a rural area, and have a family full of Barbie-loving grandkids, so this Farmer Barbie has been a complete hit. As grandma I can see that the sizes of everything are totally off. Barbie is massive compared to pretty much everything, apart from the baby chicks - including the tractor. She looks completely weird sat on it.. But the kids love it. So much imaginative play to be had with the included animals and the tractor and trailer. And it's good to see Barbie being less of a bimbo and more of a person in the real world with a productive job.

This is an adorable set, and I really love these career dolls that teach your girls (and boys) they can be anything they want to be. Including a farmer, and someone who loves animals. This Barbie has her own tractor, complete with wagon, and it's all moveable. She also has five animals to look after, and you can open the wagon and loaded them in, just like the real thing. There's the chicken, two small chicks, a white lamb and a sweet brown calf with a white heart on its forehead. In addition, there is a bottle and a bale of hay to feed them with.

This is a lovely Barbie set but it's not particularly cheap at the current price tag of £26.99 (at the time of writing this review). It's good to see this Barbie with a farm theme and not the stereo typical "glamour" doll! This Barbie comes dressed for farming, along with a ride-on tractor and farm animals. The scale of the tractor and farm animals could be better, they are quite small compared to the actual Barbie doll.
