I've tried lots of different shampoos over the years and enjoy trying out new products, but I always go back to Aussie simply because my hair seems to love it. Maybe they've included extracts of boomerang. It has a delicious smell and its main selling point seems to be the fact that it includes "peach extract" and the smell certainly backs up this claim. Don't be fooled, however, into thinking that this means it's a natural product or anything like that. If you read the ingredients, you'll see a list of chemicals as long as your arm, as with any other type of shampoo, with "fruit extract" being right towards the bottom.Despite this, it's a brilliant product. My hair is all normally over the place; greasy roots and dry ends.I wash my hair every two days and Aussie ensure that it stays clean and tidy in between. With other types of shampoo, despite the fact that my hair is about two feet long, I tend to get little short hairs sticking up all over the place, especially around my scalp, which makes me look like I've stuck my fingers in an electric socket. This problem is barely there at all when I use Aussie shampoo.A lot of people mention the price. It is quite expensive compared to other shampoos, but try and catch it when there is a special offer on. I recently got three bottles for £10; a shampoo, a conditioner and a deep-conditioner, which I'm going to treat my hair to once a week, so for £3.33 a bottle, it doesn't seem too bad. The one thing I've noticed with it is that I don't need to use anywhere near as much product as I do with other brands to get the same lather and cleaning effect; it lathers up really easily, so using a smaller amount makes the bottle last longer and therefore I would say it's about the same value as its cheaper rivals. The one thing I was concerned about, however, is that it doesn't display the Leaping Bunny logo, which shows that a product is cruelty free. I've done some research and it seems that this is because Aussie is owned by Procter and Gamble, which is a very large company and a lot of their products are tested on animals, as is the case with many of the larger cosmetic/ toiletries/ cleaning product parent companies.*HOWEVER* it seems that Aussie products themselves are not tested on animals, which is very good news for an animal rights campaigner like me.

Since ive been colouring my hair for the past 15 years i have had moments when my hair has been terribly dry and brittle, i have never used aussie products before but upon using i was pleasantly surprised, i have fairly thick frizzy hair and seem to go through an awful lot of my other shampoo and cond.I loved this product from beginning to end the shampoo smelt divine i love peach i found i didnt need half as much shampoo a little goes a long way, it lathers up really well but it did leave my hair matted but squeeky clean, once using the conditioner i massaged into my hair and left it for about 3 minutes to soak in it de-matted very quickly and upon rinsing it left my hair silky smooth, once dried i found it was less frizzy and alot more managable to straighten and my colour looked great not dull and drab i would highly recommend this product for coloured hair mine looks fresh and newly coloured but was done 4 weeks ago overall really really pleased [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

So over the years Aussie has always jumped out at me from the shelf in a supermarket yet I've never bought any. Why? I really have no idea.I used this for the first time today - In comparison to my usual Hair Care I didn't need to use half as much then I usually do.I absolutely love the feeling of Salon smooth hair & this product really doesn't let you down. Having many years ago completed my Level 1 NVQ in Hairdressing I was taught that not much conditioner is needed so long as you get it through the hair properly - yet I always feel for my long hair I never have enough to liberally cover it to get that salon silky feel. But to my astonishment it does just that. The smell once my hair is dry is gorgeous.I can't quite put my finger on the scent, but I love it.As for the color protect - I can't comment on that just yet - as stated at the beginning, today was the first use.I would absolutely recommend this product to my friends & my family. I couldn't wait to try out both the Austin Colour Mate shampoo and conditioner.I'm already an Aussie convert but only ever use the Instant shampoo and 3 minute miracle conditioner. The Colour mate packaging is distinctive and as I opened the bottle my first impression was very positive - the delicate fragrance of peach was actually quite relaxing. The bubbles foamed well and my hair rinsed easily. I left the conditioner on for several minutes to give it a chance to work its magic on my "brassy" highlights. When I towel dried my hair and brushed it there were very few tangles which was a refreshing change from other brands of shampoo. My hair looks better, the colours seem a little more "balanced" and I can still smell the peaches 12 hours later. It is safe to say that I am now a convert to both the Aussie Colour Mate Shampoo and Conditioner! excited that I got this as its well known home brand -slight problem I haven't dyed my hair for years but gave this a try anyway. First impression the smell smelt ok -I hate peach smell but its not too overwhelming so bearable- secondly maybe I used too much of it but I have really thick hair and I thought a bit more= cleaner controllable healthy hair and thirdly easy to wash out even if you put a lot on like I did -I have thick but short hair .but it done its job only if I dyed my hair I get better results !!!!! The conditioner same as above but more intense treatment and yet again easy to wash out -only recommend this product if you dyed your hair if not try other aussie product ranges I bekeeping eyes peeled for aussie in future ..........could not rate on protects colour and keeps vibrant colour as hair not dyed. I'm really fussy with hair products, I' ve trid plenty and spent more than plenty ( :( ) cause I've got a really difficult hair. My hair is naturally curly and very very dry, which becomes worse under the Greek sun. And the are frizzy!!! After reading the reviews I decided I'd give it a try and I got the three pack.AMAZING!! I have used it 4 or five times and my hair are frizzyless. I don't know about colour fading (my hair are already have already faded) but they are soft and sleek. I use it in conjuction with the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Colour Mate Deep Treatment and they wortk wonders. How ever if you your hair is not dry dont try the tratment couse it can weigh them down a bit. Also they don't enhanse curling. Use them if you want sleek straight soft hair

I've been using the shampoo and conditioner for a few days now. The shampoo is gorgeous. It's has a silky feel on application and froths up well with a divine smell of Pear Drops. My hair feels squeaky clean and it really strips away the day's grease. I wouldn't recommend it without the use of a conditioner. I wasn't as impressed by the conditioner. It just seemed to disappear into my hair even if I applied lots. There wasn't that usually silky feel you get with conditioners. In all, my hair was left feeling really clean, thick and fluffy without any coated or chalky feel. My hair wasn't particularly more manageable or shiny afterwards though, just really clean. The colour did seem slightly brighter.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

As a middle aged lady with coloured, fine hair, and a sensitive scalp, I was a bit dubious about finding a shampoo and conditioner that would do its job, as well as one that would be suitable for my scalp AND help conserve my applied colour (red). About a year ago, I tried Aussie Colour Mate, as recommended by a friend, and was really impressed with the lovely smell and by how soft and shiny it left my hair - and it didn't affect my scalp in the slightest! I've used it constantly ever since. Best thing is, I go to my regular salon for a monthly trim and tidy up, plus a four monthly colour, and my hairdresser constantly comments on how well my colour is lasting. Overall, extremely pleased with this product and I see no point in changing.

I am already a fan or Aussie products so I was delighted to be able to test out the Colour Mate Shampoo and Conditioner. The packaging is in line with the Aussie range so fits well. The products contain Australian wild peach extract and you can smell lovely peach in both the shampoo and conditioner! The products are lovely and thick in consistency an you can get a later very easy with the shampoo. The conditioner is moisturising and it washes out fairly well. As far as the colour aspect, I have ombre hair and there has been no fading of my colour at all and I wash my hair every day. Definitely a product to recommend!
